Bridger Pennington shares a story from Jeff Walker's Launch about a man who skipped college savings to build an email list instead. At a parent gathering, the man claimed he could raise $100,000 in a weekend with three emails. Pennington argues an email list is more valuable than traditional savings.

I want to share a quick story. Anybody read this book, Launch by Jeff Walker? In the book, he goes to a gathering at the local school. They're all talking about they got an IRA or they got a retirement account, et cetera, something that they're saving for their kids. And they finally ask him like, what do you, what do you do? And he goes, oh, I don't, I don't actually, I haven't saved a dollar. No. Oh man, you aren't saving for college. College is getting expensive. It's $100,000, whatever it is for tuition. He goes, I haven't saved anything. He goes, I have a list. And they're like, what? He goes, I have an email list. And the parents are like, huh? What are you talking about? He's like, no, no. Yeah. If I ever need $100 grand, you need $100 grand this weekend? Yeah. I'll just send 3 emails and I, I rate, I do whatever and I make $100 grand. He didn't get the idea. And he puts in this book, he goes, the power of a list. You could burn everything we have to the ground and give me our list and we'd be back up and running in no time. It's by far the most valuable asset me and Mason have with Funnel Launch.
