Bridger Pennington argues the U.S. has targeted leaders like Gaddafi and Saddam Hussein for trading oil outside the dollar. He points to China and Saudi Arabia negotiating oil deals without dollars, and the Nord Stream pipeline explosion, claiming the U.S. would wage war to protect its currency's reserve status.

So I know of two people in history that traded large amounts of oil not using U.S. dollars. The two people in history were Umar Gaddafi and Saddam Hussein, which by a roundabout way a couple years later they were kind of killed by the U.S. government. Additionally, currently China is negotiating with Saudi Arabia to trade large amounts of oil without U.S. dollars. It's a big deal when you trade large amounts of oil without using U.S. dollars. I don't know; it seems weird that the Nord Pipeline just blew up out of nowhere, that these two world leaders were killed, and that other wars around. The world are all tied in some way, shape, or form to oil. I think the United States would rather go to World War III than give up world reserve currency status. Comment down below though what you think. I'm curious to hear your thoughts.
