So you know what helps sometimes is.
When you actually, I swear at the end of these, I'm gonna make a.
Blooper reel because I plugged in the microphone to the wrong spot. So let's fix that real quick.
This is gonna be a fun. The microphone going. All right. And we have Instagram going. So. Hey, guys, I'm going to talk to you today about a clarity break because you're probably not going to see me as much this month. I'm not going to be on very many of your calendars other than my individual clients. And the reason for that is because it's so much more than a vacation. I was reading this book called Ikagi, I believe is what it's called. If you know the book, go ahead and put it in the comments so that everybody else can read it. And it was kind of fascinating to me in the aspect that, you know, the United States is really the only country that has this concept of retirement. And so in discussing this, if you were with me in January, you know that I took January off and I'm essentially taking August off too, unapologetically, because I give a lot. I give a lot to my community, I give a lot to my family, I give a lot to my companies. And in order for me to give that much, I have to renew and restore. Think about a professional athlete. You know, you practice all week long for this performance, for the big day, but there's time for renewal, there's time for restoration. And so being able to make that conscious decision. I also have years worth of working 100 hour weeks that I'm still recovering from. And so the aspect that this is service dog week and I wanted to let you guys know about that. So if you're on Facebook, I'm gonna bring up the service dog graphic for you. Sorry. Here we go. So if you want to follow on Instagram, it's possible six legs. And of course on Instagram, if you're watching this live, you know my Instagram handle. But if you're watching this on Facebook, it's Bonnie has six legs. And I just wanted to give you guys a heads up. Then I'm gonna be taking a cl. I'm going to be doing some writing. I'm still going to be working on that TED Talk, so stay tuned for that. Thank you. For those of you that have checked in on that. But you know, one of the things in the how to stay sane during insane times. If you guys haven't already downloaded that book, it's on our website, bunayoung.com. It's in the header. It's a free ebook, so please download it. But I want you to do what you need to do for your own sanity. And it may not be a 40 hour vacation, it may not be a two week vacation. It may not be going to get a manicure or a pedicure. You may need something different. And so this is what I need right now. I need to take a clarity break and actually I don't need it. I'm choosing to take a clarity break. I could keep going. I have more than enough energy to stay with you guys. I don't know about this guy behind me, obviously service dog working hard but and working on the YouTube channel and working on the book and all of those things. I don't want to wake up and just keep doing and doing and doing and doing. I want to take a step back and say what's the big picture and what are the priorities in there? And how could I best serve myself, my family and you? And I think it's almost an obligation that I have to you to be able to answer those questions with confidence. And I want to model to my clients and to my community the exact same tools that I ask and prescribe for you. So again, bunnyyoung.com go grab the how to Stay Sane during insane times possible 6 legs for service Animal Week. And you can see that on LinkedIn as well. We have a ton of stuff for companies and organizations on service animal awareness. The last thing I wanted to share with you guys is that we have this YouTube channel that we've started. Well, that's a lie to you. I haven't. It's not started in the aspect that it's been going for a while, but there was no real rhyme or reason to it. And so there's playlists now with the Difference Makers discussions. There's the collections of the YouTube or the live with Bunnies so that you don't just have to get them. If you more and more people are saying I don't really want to get on Facebook. And that's absolutely fine. If you don't want to be on Facebook and if the Difference Makers group is not for you know that you can get these on the YouTube channel as well. Just subscribe and you can get those in there under the Live with Bunny playlist. And then there's a couple other playlists, whether you're a working parent or whether you want to know more about service animals, all of those kinds of things. If you're an individual with a disability or professional with a disability as I identify as. So, you know, I'm getting this clarity break so that I can organize my value. This is what I want you to hear and write down. I'm taking this clarity break so I can organize my value in a way that I can continue to be of the utmost service to you. And in order to do that, there's two things that I absolutely need to be able to do. First and foremost, one is uncover the camera so that I can wave at Laurel. Because I'm sitting here holding the. My camera up on the. I'll just. I'll show you exactly, like, what's going on. So I have this phone with Instagram on it, and I'm trying to keep everybody happy on Instagram and everybody in the difference makers group. And so I am unapologetically trying to do this all for you guys so that. And keep my head away from the graphics on Facebook. So this is a great example of how you can just be real and authentic in your clients and your communities. You don't have to be perfect and you don't have to apologize for taking time for you. So I'm gonna go take time for me. That's my clarity break that I am going to commit to. I will be back in August. Um, we may have some guest guests that are doing these Facebook lives and Instagram lives for you, or I may just pop in for a couple minutes, depending on what my inspiration is. And I want to know. I asked this this morning during one of our difference makers discussions interviews. I want to know one thing that you're committing to today that will bring more happiness to your day. One thing that you're going to do for you today that's going to help you make the world a better place, that's going to help you rise to the full potential of your purpose. So if you look at the. The YouTube channel that I hope you subscribe to, it's called the Power of Human Potential. And if you know or followed me for any period of time, you know how in love I am with this concept of herds and the fact that humans are just one big herd. And you would never see an alpha mare that would starve herself in order to make sure that the herd is going to be able to eat, you know, there's going to be an equal amount of wealth shared among a herd. And it's the. When we talk about balance, okay, if we're going to go, first off, you know, I think balance is bs but secondly, if we're going to Go down the road of balance and you think about a teeter totter. On a teeter totter, somebody's always up and somebody's always down. And so unless you're taking some of that downtime, you can't really expect to have that uptime. And the other thing with being on a teeter totter is that you need someone else's support in order to go up and down. So I'm not saying that I believe that there is a balance. What I'm saying is that I believe in support. I believe that you have a purpose. I believe that unless you find support within your community and you find that alignment between your purpose and the life that you are living, there will continue to be dis ease. And if you feel like you have a ton on your plate, I want you to find out how to align it. Not necessarily balance it, not necessarily time block it. I want you to ask yourself, why am I doing this? Not in. Sometimes when we ask this question, it's like, why am I doing this? And I don't want you to ask. I want the tone of the voice to be, why am I doing this? And the aspect of how is this going to help me ultimately make the world a better place and ultimately fulfill my full potential? Because you all can do it. You absolutely can do it. I'm speaking to my younger self of 10 years ago that thought that my value was wrapped up in working 100 hours a week and being consistently available to my bosses and to my friends and family and everything. And I didn't want to disappoint anybody. And you know what? The only person I ended up disappointing is the only person that counts, and that's me. So. And it's not that I disappointed myself, but it's that I drove myself pretty close to insanity and pretty close to complete and total burnout. So I'm taking my clarity break. I love you all. You can still connect on starfish stories. You can still connect on Instagram, you can still still connect on the YouTube channel. So go ahead and find the power of human potential is up on the YouTube channel or just search. Bonnie Young, business therapist. And I hope that you also connect in the difference makers community. Thank you guys for making the world a better place, and I will see you soon.
