A speaker reflects on lessons from nature with her dog: staying in your comfort zone is slow death, so she deliberately pushes beyond familiar limits. She talks with her friend Hilary about when to stop expanding and says there's no stopping point. She uses a mental toolbox of strategies to keep stepping outside her comfort zone, which shrinks anxiety and fuels growth.

I spend a lot of time out in nature. I've got a big dog that needs a lot of exercise. And I learn a huge amount from nature. She— Mum Nature has been around a heck of a long time. She knows a thing or two. And something that was brought to my attention is in nature, things are doing one of two things: they're growing or they're dying. So? We're putting things out there today. I put it to you that if you stay in a comfort zone, you're dying, albeit very slowly. I choose to keep stepping outside of my comfort zone because I want to keep growing. I haven't been able to grow that way. I've been trying for a very long time. Could probably go that way a little bit more. Yeah, but I want to keep getting my comfort zone as big as it can possibly get. And in fact, Hilary and I were having this conversation just earlier, weren't we, to say, when do you know when to stop? Never. Never is my answer. I just want to see just how flipping far I can go. Again, there's nothing special about me. I've just got a toolbox that allows me to keep taking these steps outside of my comfort zone.
