What can be achieved with hypnotherapy - a client's story

Keith tried clinical hypnotherapy with Caroline Cavanagh to manage grief, anxiety, and brain fog. Three sessions gave him coping tools that stuck through lockdown and improved his work and home life. He was skeptical until he realized it wasn't stage tricks but focused thinking in a relaxed state.

Hi there, my name's Keith and I'm a client of Caroline at Adding Zest. I just wanted to take a moment to talk you through my experience of working with Caroline and the difference it's had on me, because it's been really, really overwhelmingly positive. So I went through like a really rough patch with bereavement after bereavement after bereavement, just challenge after challenge. And to be honest with you, it knocked me for 6, and I was anxious. I just wasn't myself. Occasionally, like, short-tempered. And you know that feeling where just generally you just can't square things away in your head? And my other half said, why not try Caroline? Caroline just helped her with some phobias. And normally I'm a bit of a cynic about these sorts of things, but actually After a good bit of thinking, I thought, well, you know, you might go to a personal trainer to work on your physical fitness and well-being. Why not go to someone to help a little bit with the mental side of things? So I had a really long telephone conversation with Caroline to begin with, and it was clear then we could work together and there was some sort of connection there, which was great. And then did 3 sessions with her. And looking to book in a 4th now. But those 3 sessions sort of escalated in intensity, and I don't know how to explain it to you, but proper hypnotism is so very different to what you might expect from stage hypnotism. I'm sure most of you know that, but if anyone's thinking you're going to be sitting there pretending to be a chicken or eating an onion, that's just not it. What Caroline does is relax you It's a wonderfully pleasant, relaxed experience and just finds you different ways of thinking about things and rationalizing things in your head. And yeah, it's left me functioning better at work, at home, looking to the future more. I've got these sort of coping mechanisms in here that I can just draw on as and when I need to. Currently in lockdown in the middle of a global pandemic and That's about as major a test as it can possibly get, and it seems to be going okay. And, you know, just— it's just been a good experience, and I couldn't recommend Caroline enough to anyone else who's looking to just give themselves a little bit of TLC in there with something that's been bugging them. Thanks, Caroline, and I hope you guys will go and see her soon. Thank you.
