Catherine Bell worked as a travel nurse trainer at 37 hospitals, delivered babies including at the border, and retired during COVID. The job paid well and taught her compassion, reigniting her love for nursing.
And it was like I threw a light bulb on the head of every CEO in the room. I did 37 onboardings. When I was listening to Mike talk about how he onboards, I was like, I onboarded at 37 hospitals because I was a travel nurse. So what they call the super user. I went in, taught the hospital how to do it. Once they did, down the road, I went. And so doing that over and over and over, I learned a lot more about myself. Now I'm 30 years old, and going into my 40s, I'm like, wow, I love this. You know, life is good again. And what it did was it taught me compassion. It taught I was delivering babies down at the border. When I retired, I retired because of COVID The nice thing was I was making nurse money.
