A guy sold his brother's stuff at a yard sale, made enough to get permits and blueprints, then convinced a local car dealer to finance three custom homes if he'd manage the builds himself. He had almost no construction experience.
I called my brother. I said, hey, you got to clean up your yard. He says, I ain't got time for that. I says, well, I do. Got on Facebook, took a bunch of pictures, sold all his shit gone. Made me a few bucks. Turned around, went and got the permit, blueprints, redid and ran another ad. Lots for sale. Car dealer came down. Guy that owns a car dealership. I'll help you. I'll buy it. You become my general contractor. Done. Did you ever built a house before? I said, maybe, right? So I got in there and we built three custom homes.
