Catherine Bell (Titan Impact Group) presents a short motivational piece arguing that real estate investing is "absolutely worth it." She advises starting with self-education (she began with the Rich Dad, Poor Dad books), choosing a niche (buy-and-hold, wholesaling, flips, short-term rentals, notes, etc.), joining local investment groups, and securing mentors/teachers. Before buying a course or hiring a coach she recommends asking for at least three referrals of people the mentor impacted in the past six to twelve months and verifying that the referrals saw concrete financial results; then implement what you learn.

Hey everyone, this is Katherine with Titan Impact Group and I'm here to talk to you about is real estate investing worth it? My question to you is, are you kidding me? It's absolutely worth it. If you go back and you look throughout history, I like to say that success leaves clues. And if you look at all the successful people in the world, each one of them has a portion of their portfolio that is in real estate. That is a clue. So yes, real estate is absolutely worth it. And how do you get started? Start with self education. I know for me, I started reading through all of the rich dad, poor dad series books. That's where I started. And then have read hundreds of books since then and continued to get myself educated on real estate and all the different facets of real estate that you can get into. And so whatever it is that calls to you, from buy and hold to wholesaling, fixing and flipping vacation, short term rentals, doing notes, there's so many different ways that you can actually be involved in real estate investing. But what I say to you is get yourself educated. Start reading, start learning. You can never learn enough. And figure out what it is that niche that calls to you that that makes your heart and soul sing and just jump in. Get involved and get involved inside of any local real estate investment group, real estate investment club, anything like that. There's lots online, you can learn so much. And then of course, get yourself a mentor, get yourself teachers, don't be afraid to learn, just learn. And then when you learn, make sure that you absolutely put it into action. And so before you get yourself a mentor though or you buy a course, what I always do is I always ask to speak to three, a minimum of three referrals of people that they have directly impacted within the last six to 12 months. And what I ask those people is, has this as a direct result of learning or the coaching or teaching, whatever, have actual commas been added to your bank account as a direct result of what you've learned? And if they have, and three people I can actually talk to about that, that then I will sign up for whatever that coaching course or program is and then I implement absolutely everything that I've learned. So I hope that helps with that. This is Catherine Bell with Titan Impact Group. May you never awake from the American dream.
