Speaker B tells Speaker A that leaving people and places better than you found them builds a reputation that opens doors for decades. Integrity and generosity create reciprocal benefits that circle back, even with difficult people.
Who is Catherine Bell? I feel kind of emotional, honestly. Yeah.
Yeah, absolutely.
I'm sorry.
Don't be. This is very emotional when somebody opens a door and shows you a path. Here's the thing. I want you to know you're not alone. You're not alone. And I'm proud of you for reaching out. I'm proud of you for being on this journey. Here's what I can tell you. The investing world is even worse. So if you can seriously make sure that you leave every person, property, and community better than you found them, then relationships, even if people are, like, prickly and nasty or, you know, whatever, still leave them better than you found them, because I promise you, in 10, 20 years, they will circle back around and you may need them again.
Yeah.
Always leave everybody better than you found them, because you never know when you're going to need those relationships. I promise you, relationships that I had 30 years ago are all coming back into cycle because all our circles are so small and we all know each other. And then there's people like me that, because I have left them better than I found them, doors get opened up for me without me even, like, meeting these people. But my reputation walked in before I did.
Yeah. And that's how I want to be. Like, I want to just have a genuinely good heart coming into everything.
Yeah. Yeah. So live with integrity. And we're gonna keep walking you through all the things, but I know I just gave you a ton of homework.
Yeah.
So I'm proud of you and I'm here for you. You just need to do the work.
