Hey everyone, it's Katherine Bell with Titan Impact Group where we leave every person, property and community better than we found them. And here's what's really extraordinary. I love the people who are in our lives that literally do exactly the same thing inside of leaving every person, property and community bed. We found them. And of course I have my beautiful friend Teresa here. Yay. She's going to see. And my beautiful new friend Misty here. And here's what's really cool. We have our Declaration of Independence. And what's really extraordinary is the last 24 hours that we got to spend together have been absolutely life changing. And everybody needs to hear about this. So Misty wrote this incredible book. Everybody needs to go go to Amazon right now. What Goes up by Misty Lane. Absolutely. Everybody has got to read this book. And I want you to share about literally your Declaration of Independence and how powerful that is you because it could speak to a lot of people.
Absolutely. Thank you so much, Katherine. So my whole journey has been about overcoming my past and not letting my past rob my future. So I have learned through a series of chain reactions that we must overcome our worst to live our best. Quick short story, just so you understand, I know what I'm talking about. I went from medical school to prison, facing a 40 year prison sentence. I did the time, I restructured my life. I put the work in and I learned instead of blame and anger to use accountability and forgiveness. So this book is all about overcoming.
Absolutely extraordinary inside of the independence from our addictions.
Addictions or just anything. It doesn't have to be addictions. Anything that's holding us back, that's making us toxic.
Well, I love. We talked about the forgiveness. Yes.
Forgiving ourselves, that's the most important key. So we're harboring resentments, anger, blame, shame, all these negative beliefs that we throw on ourselves. We have to look in the mirror and learn to love ourselves through it and forgive ourselves for it. And then transparency is necessary in the world where transparency is liberation and freedom so that we can judge less and mentor more.
I love it. I know.
Because as a society we tend to judge right quickly.
And ourselves, we're our own worst critics.
Our own worst critics. Because we don't know until we walk those shoes. In those shoes, we don't know what someone else is going through. So by being transparent with your story, you're educating the community so they can be more empathetic and understanding. But how healing for you to be as liberating.
Right. Well, one thing I said, what you said last night around the fire as we were talking was about the power of actually writing our story out and how healing that is in, like, literally getting it out of us.
The energy of the stroke of the pen, not on the computer, but the physical writing is a release. Yeah.
So extraordinary. So please, please, anybody who is dealing with any type of unforgiveness or addiction or people who love people who are dealing with that for sure, absolutely, go and read this book. So thank you. And make sure you click on the links below.
