Catherine Bell describes how a real estate deal collapsed when her colleague Dallin withheld critical information. She had asked for transparency and upfront communication, but his omission cost both of them commissions and damaged their partnership.
because even like, I think about Dallin and the whole, um, the, the dirty— the dirt. Again, you know, he— when we found it out, he should have been up front and told us because he knew, right? Even especially when we went out there and were walking the dirt and had multiple conversations and were clear with him that moving forward we wanted to take that property and continue using him for the next transaction on the back end of it. We were very clear. We were looking for a professional relationship with him so he could have got commission up front, and then we turned around and got it ready to sell it again, he could have got commission again. But because he literally was not a— like, up front, it was lying by omission is what he was doing. He literally like lost the entire deal on both sides, you know.
