Richard Childress watched his best friend die in a crash involving one of his cars but stayed in NASCAR anyway. Around 2010, the speaker says NASCAR shifted to a cheating system like WrestleMania, so they stopped watching.
Richard Childress, he's the— he's— he was a NASCAR car owner, team owner. He had multiple cars. He watched his best friend die in one of them. He still stayed in that business. Talk about rough. You want to talk about a guy that's high stakes and high risk for high reward racing? NASCAR racing when it was real. I'm going on record right now, and in 2010 NASCAR went over to a cheating system. 100%, uh, WrestleMania style. So I never watched NASCAR again after 2010.
