NOT MAKING THE GRADE: WHY ACCOUNTABILITY MATTERS DURING THE COVID ECONOMY!!!!

Steve Wall and Catherine Bell discuss Arizona's removal of A-F grades during COVID, arguing that grading accountability matters because remote learning exposed unequal school readiness. Bell promotes real-estate investing to capitalize on distressed mortgages from pandemic forbearance, noting Titan Impact Group manages 171 assets.

Good morning, everyone. Steve and Kathryn here with Titan Impact Group. Hey, we get a treat today. Kathryn's going to take this away because you get to enjoy me for the eye candy that I am. What happened was that got up this morning, found out that our illustrious Governor Doug Ducey of Arizona went ahead and signed House Bill 2402, which basically eliminates grades A through F for this academic school year. So when Kathryn heard about that, she was like, oh, this cannot stand. Eh? Go give me some Timmies and a donut. I'm gonna go hockey fight the governor. And yes, by the way, this is not optics here. This is. This is the way it really is. But Catherine, since she's got to get on her soapbox here for a second and put up a fight, she. She needs me to stand down. So I'm excited to hear about what she has to say. So take it away.
So that's not really what happened this morning, but what I am clear about is that it does make sense. The choice that he made, however, it didn't have to actually be that way. What I'm clear about is that as technology evolved, some schools decided to step up and utilize that technology. And when this Covid thing hit, they were fully prepared and made a seamless transition to kids being able to be at home and do schooling online. Some schools absolutely resisted all technology and were not prepared. The teachers weren't prepared, and the kids lost out on all this educational opportunity. So the question is, how is that going to impact the future for these kids? Getting into colleges, universities, what does that actually mean? So, you know, again, life is not about, like, preventing things from happening to you. It's like life is going to happen, and now what are you gonna do about it? And so one of the things I'm clear about for us is us being responsible for the education that we provide our children. Yes, there's a school system, but then there's the reality of how life actually happens. And so what we did is we created a family mastermind. And so us with our kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, everybody's welcome to come join. And what we do is we take on actually teaching them how money actually works. And my favorite part is how to make money and then send it out there to have it come back with lots of friends and add comments to bank accounts and how to manage it responsibly. It's the piece that schools fail to teach. And we are absolutely being 100% responsible for making sure that our Facebook family and future generations have that that education in spite of what's happening with the traditional education system. So one of the things I love about this country is why we're standing in front of our Declaration of Independence. It's, you know, the life, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I love that about this country. And so the question is, what are you doing? What are you doing for your future, for your investments? And inside of what's going to happen, you can be an ostrich and stick your head in the sand or you can be looking around saying, you know, there's going to, something's going to be happening. And let me give you a clue. Okay? If you look around, there's been something called forbearance happening and it continues to push out the mortgage companies being able to foreclose because of, for various reasons people haven't been able to make the mortgage payments, whatever that is. But the point is, is again, we can't stop this stuff from happening. But what can we actually do about it? Well, we can get out in front of it. We know that there is a tsunami of foreclosures that are coming. And the reality is banks are not in the real estate business. Banks are in the lending business. So what that means is when it comes time for people to have to work out these mortgages and stuff, the banks do not have the systems and structures and people set up to be able to take care of these customers, to be able to renegotiate everything. Again, because they're not in the real estate business. They don't even know how to be able to navigate through that whole thing. So what happens is now they have all these what's called non performing notes on their books. And so now they have to get them off their books so that they are meeting the threshold of what they can actually lend out. Which is where people like us, Titan Impact Group comes into play as well.
As all of our investors shout out to Leah and Nil and yes, we are still accepting more investors. Moratorium has just made it go through that beginning of July, perhaps we can start. But hey, let's build up those work offers. All you investors give us a call. Kathryn will tell you how in a minute.
So we are currently working with a portfolio of 171 assets. So what that means is it's 171 homes, families that for whatever reason weren't able to pay their mortgages and the banks just aren't set up to take care of that. But we are, we are in real estate. We know real estate, we love real estate. And so we're able to help them navigate through this whole process. So with our investors, we take on being compassionate capitalists, doing everything we can to help those people do the right thing, to get their mortgages caught up and keep them in their homes, which is ultimately what people want. And so it ends up being a win win. It's a win for the banks because we get it off their books. It's a win for the homeowners because they get to stay in their homes. It's a win for our investors. It's a win for us because we get to make a difference. So we love that. So if you are interested in participating and having us show you how to send your money out and have it come back with lots of friends and add comments to your bank account, then absolutely give us a call. Because what's happening is the article yesterday was that Biden signed an executive order putting the moratoriums out until the end of June. So what that means again, there is a massive tsunami that's coming of these failed mortgages. And so we are here to help, you know, take advantage of that. Real estate is cyclical. Everything is cyclical, meaning that you can make money in an up market or a down market. You just need to be able to educate and position yourself so that you are in the right place at the right time. Just like you know, we did hundreds of fix and flips in Phoenix years ago because the market was at the perfect place. Now isn't the time to do that. So what is the time? That's what we got ourselves educated in. So back to our kids getting everyone educated and making sure that they are doing the right thing at the right time instead of staying stuck. Because this is the way we've done it for 150 years. That's what's problem with the school system is they're not getting out in front, using technology, getting themselves educated to be able to deal with what's coming in the future. And this, we all know this Covid thing has changed our lives forever and it's never going to go back to the way it was. So what are you going to do about it? What are you going to do to educate yourselves, your family? What are you going to do about your retirement, your retirement plan, your retirement fund? So I'd love to hear what your plans are.
