Four miles of people lined up to take photos with real-estate investor Pace Morby, but the speaker says they came for fame, not deals. Real deal-makers don't need selfies. They're after business.
Are you in the deal room? The thing to tell the difference on, too, is that, you know, I mean, there was a 4-mile-long line to just shake Pace Morby's hand and get a picture with him like he was the frickin'— at Walt Disney and he was Goofy, you know? I was like, what the hell? That's not people wanting to do a deal. Those are people wanting to be famous, right? Those are people wanting to absorb some level of amazingness because they were in proximity to Pace Morby, not proximity to what he created. Right.
