TRANSPARENCY : A REVOLUTIONARY CONCEPT!!!

Informal YouTube conversation between hosts Steven Catherine and Catherine Bell about real-estate investing and the importance of investor transparency and security. They note a recent sentencing of "Kent Markey" to 16 years for defrauding investors, use a historical anecdote (Boston Port Act, March 25, 1774) as an intro, and describe their business model: matching one investor per real-estate note, buying non-performing notes from banks for pennies on the dollar, working with homeowners to get notes performing, then packaging and returning performing loans to banks/hedge funds. They emphasize personal service, transparency, and protecting investor capital.

My fellow compassionate capitalist, Steven Catherine and Catherine's horse, Herme here today in the office. Yes. Your eyes do not deceive you. I am wearing pink. I am secure in my masculinity. You're welcome, Catherine, but only because she's like 3 foot 4 inches tall. You can't see she's wearing socks with her.
My feet are cold. Well, it's cold in Arizona today. It's like not Canada cold, but Arizona cold.
It's like 70 degrees.
That's cold for us.
So before we get on today's subject, of course I'm going to give a little quick little history lesson. And because it was today, March 25th. 25th still got a little Covid brain, March 25th, 1774, that the Parliament passed the Boston Port Act. And of course, what the Boston Port act was, was England shut down the port of Boston and said, pony up, you owe us a. See that? I just did a prop and a segue into a prop. They said it couldn't be done. I just did it. Even with COVID rain. You're welcome. So the crown wanted us to pony up a million dollars for a little Boston Tea Party that we had. Of course, we said, to hell with you and your tea and your bad teeth. From now on, we're gonna drink coffee. And today, I mean, it's a fun fact today. That's the reason why Americans drink coffee and other English subjects drink tea or rebels like that. One of the things that we did, it's a flawless segue and it has absolutely nothing. One does not have anything to do with the other. However, I just mentioned it was a segue. So we are segueing in to our little article that we posted today. Unfortunately, a man by the name of Kent Markey. Of course, you didn't see me look over on the computer screen here. That never happened. I've got everything up here. He was sentenced 16 years in jail today for defrauding investors. That is something that I'm going to go ahead. I'm going to let Kathryn talk a little bit about, and I'll just stand back here in my pink shirt being eye candy. Take it away.
So one of the things that we do with our investors, that our investors appreciate about what we do, is every time our investors invest with us, it's their money is backed up with actual real estate notes. So what that does is make sure that one investor, per note, so that if something happens, they always have that note essentially in their name or their entity's name, whatever that is. So we Love to take care of our investors. Our investors love working with us. One of our favorite things that we like to talk about is having our investors send out their money and have it come back with lots of friends. So, so making sure that your investment is backed up is a big deal. And so what does that mean? What's going on? So we've talked about it before and if you're new to us, make sure that you click on the links and sign up below for our newsletter. And all the deals that are happening. We are getting some serious traction inside of the real estate investment world. We've been investing for well over 20 years and one of my favorite things is my very first lesson from my first real estate investor mentor. He talked about all the different roles that you can play in a real estate investment transaction. So you could be the seller, the buyer, the realtor, the title company, contractor, subcontractor, bank. There's so many different parts that you can play inside of a real estate transaction. What he did that changed my life forever was he asked the question, which position is the most secure in any real estate investment transaction? And the answer is the bank being the bank. So if you think about it, when we all grew up playing the playing monopoly, you know what was the most secure position to play on the board? Well, it was the bank. And so that's what we are, we're the bank. And what's happening is all the moratoriums that have been in place because of COVID and not being banks, not being able to foreclose or anything on these investment are these properties is that soon the moratorium is going to be lifted. And what does that mean? It means basically a tidal wave of foreclosures are about to happen. Now banks are in the lending business, they are not in the real estate business. Meaning that when it comes time to foreclose, they do not have the systems and structures and people in place to be able to take care of and help all these families get back on track with all of their mortgages. We, we are in the real estate business and we do have the system structures and teams set up to, to be able to do that and to take care of these people. So one of the things that I love about what we do is we leave every person, property and community better than we found them. So we work with the banks and we're able to purchase these non performing notes off from the banks for pennies on the dollar and then we match them up with one investor per note so the money is secure and Then our team goes to work and we work with the homeowner to, to be able to get them back on track and be able to stay in their home. And then once it's performing, meaning they've been paying consistently, we package a bunch of these up and then we turn around and we send them back to the banks and the hedge fund. So it ends up being a win, win, win for everybody again, leaving every person, property and community better than we found them. So we're very excited about that. So with that, make sure that you are doing your due diligence when you are investing any aspect of real estate or anything else.
One of the things, our computer is blowing up because we're in the middle of some really great things happening. That's how come if you keep squirrel. That's what's happening there. We probably shouldn't be filming in the office. But in all seriousness, one of the things that we do pride ourselves on is that we're small enough to stay personal but big enough to get the job done. If you have any questions, if we don't answer the phone, we will call you back. Okay? We won't leave you hanging forever in a day. Again, the main thing is that understand what's going on. Understand that Kathryn and I both grew up understanding the value of money through various experiences and homes through various experiences and stuff. And we'll share that with you on, on future videos. But the bottom line is we take it very personally. We're not, you're not just another number and we're not just going to take your money and just throw it on the wall and hey, see what sticks. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, it doesn't. No, we, we can't stand to lose. We love to win and we, we win the vast majority of the time. And so again, we just invite you to, if you have any questions, contact us. Let's talk. And we're not going to do anything that you don't feel comfortable with. And we are completely transparent. And, you know, again, we line up one investor with one deal and that way their investment is protected by real estate.
Absolutely.
All right, so you have anything else to add?
So we appreciate you. We look forward to getting to know, you know what your goals are and know that we have a huge network. So even if notes aren't your goals, let us know what your goals are. I love to connect people and, you know, there's more than enough deals and opportunities out there for everybody so we can make it all happen again. So with that. May you never awake from the American dream.
