Ericksonian Language

Christoffel Sneijders catalogs 41 Ericksonian language patterns used in hypnotherapy, from mind-reads to embedded commands, showing how subtle linguistic tricks relax the critical mind and engage the subconscious. The goal is internalization over memorization, so therapists can adapt these patterns flexibly to deepen rapport and facilitate trance.

Hi there. Ericksonian language, why is it so important in hypnotherapy? And what are the different kind of Ericksonian phrases he was using, or people say he was using? Why is it so important? To know Ericksonian language because it helps you and the client to connect better, to get better to the subconscious mind, or in my words, the heart and gut brain. And it also brings that critical mind, the head brain, in a state of relaxation and trust. So what is Iroquoian language? In my research, I came aware there are many different kind of subtle differences. You can see here 22 of them, and in total I found 41 of them. I go through all of them. Probably you will come aware that some are almost the same. It's not that you know them by heart, from what's the difference between an truism and a yes-set, or permissiveness and cover all possibilities, or the difference between cover all possibilities and including of opposites. It's more that you somewhere have that feeling from, okay, now I know how it works, I know what it does and what it doesn't do. So you can make it ingrained in your own language, because it's not important what you say or what you don't say. So much more important that your client really gets out of it what it wants to get out of it. So let's have a look. What's a mind read? When you think about the mind read, and it says they are claiming to know the thoughts and feelings of another without specifying the process or the how by which you came to the information. You could use may, probably, could, And words like that to soften it. But the mind is, I know what you could think on this moment right now. Maybe you're thinking what will be the next bullet point there. And I know when you read the next bullet point, it could make a massive impact. So I know what you're wondering right now. I knew you were curious to know what is there, and maybe curious to know how many more there are. That was a forced mind read. You start the sentence with not quite. Your client will gladly fill it in to you. You may be wondering how this will benefit you. By you may be wondering. It's a mind trick because I think you're wondering, and I'm making question of it, how this will benefit you. He will start thinking right away what will happen there, and you probably know more than anyone how important it is to Use all these kind of phrases, is it not? And the is it not will come— we come later to that. And maybe you're wondering about trance and hypnosis, and if my language is now already putting you in that trance or not. And as you sit here or there, you're aware of your feet. All kind of things how you can put the mind somewhere to a suggestion. Lost performative is another one. It's not lost performance but lost performative. A value judgment in which the person who performs the judgment is not mentioned. It's lost. Precaution, take care with this pattern as it contradicts the iMessage format. It sounds difficult, it is not. But it sounds like it is a good thing to wonder for whom it is. To make it concrete, if somebody says it's good, it's a good thing to wonder, it becomes actually also a generalization because I make it general. And that is a good example. Again, who did it? By whom? And that's all right, or that's right. And that's what we love to say in hypnotic language, in hypnosis language. It's also lost performative because who said it's all right? And it's appropriate to consider all these benefits I just mentioned. Just like it's a good thing to review, it's a good thing to review your learnings regularly. And it's good to read all the things you once learned. All those kind of examples, and it is appropriate to be aware of all those kind of things and of this and that. And it's good to relax. And now we had two, and I will talk on. To recover all the 41. So of course, if you like to have a pause, you can take a pause, stop it. And the fact is that you can also relax a little bit. Cause and effect suggesting something which happens causes something else. So the moment you get tired listening to me, It could happen that you learn even more. So the implied cost is make C is bigger than the outcome. If and then, ask you, then you. There are what-ifs actually. You can use the space, current experience you incline to an embedded command. Because, and because you're listening to me, and if you listen to me because you have to learn this, and if you study, you will learn all the things we just Explained, and because you're listening, you're gaining understanding of the cause and effect. And reading these words will make you relax, and because you are more relaxed, you're gaining much more understanding. And if you study those, you will learn them even better. You can also. Add them all together to bring people really in a state where you like to have them. And while you breathe in and out, and while you breathe out all the tension, release your body. We will come later how you can play with the sentence, because when you say, when you breathe out all the tension, It will leave your body. You have a totally different kind of effect. We come later to that one, but you can even play with the sentences. And while you read the description of cause and effect, it gets you ready to make a practice. And when you see the way it works, you know it's worth it. And we will have fun learning today because This is all new information for you. And if you sit in this chair, then you go into trance. All those different examples of cause and effect, we use them. And of course, the best way— if there's a best way, because sometimes the best way is not the best way— Is combining them. And while we're still fresh, let's go to complex equivalence. What do I mean with that? Where two things usually happening at the same time are said to be equivalent. One means the other, meaning they become The same. They include a verb, to mean and to be. The more you study, the more you learn. Gaining more understanding means gaining more learning. Where cause and effect is this happens, that happens, here actually becomes the same. They are connected. And noticing your breathing means you're beginning to relax. Here, a cause and effect is saying if you do your breathing it could cause relaxation. Here it's already implying it is. If you're listening to this, what I'm just saying, you are in a trance, even without knowing that you're in trance. Because how do you know you're in a trance? And considering the choices means you will get the best. And considering the choices means you will want to get the best. And if you're listening to this, then you are already learning. Different kind of things. And when you listen to Milton Erickson's recordings, you become aware a lot of this is just his normal language. Presupposition— isn't it a beautiful word? Even that almost flabbergasts your mind. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 syllables. Just try to say that 5 times really quick. In one moment, your tongue will almost crack. It's the linguistic equivalent of assumptions. It's a pre-assumption. Virtually everything presupposes something else. Things which have to be assumed for the sentence to be understood. So like, you're learning many things. It's a pre-assumption. I already assume you're learning many things, is it not? And you're absorbing all the learnings. And have you noticed how easy it is that you learn language patterns? And of course, do you want to change quickly? Or slowly? And if you noticed all the things you are learning— it's an assumption that I think you already noticed the things you are learning— and do you want to practice it now, after you've seen all the options of the languages? So you can now pause. And if it means you pause now, it means you like to test it and train it. And the more you test and train, the more you learn, is it not? And have you already noticed all the things you are learning on this moment? All different kind of options there are. The universal quantifier is a nice one. It's a set of words having universal generalizations. I like them a lot, but that's a personal preference. There's no referential index like all, every, never, always, nobody. Words such as every, always, never, any, everyone will make universal generalization. Although we don't, we always do. Every breath takes you deeper in trance. You'll become aware that even he uses this, and totally at the end, including all the opposites, is actually Embedding even it more or gives you more options. It's also what you prefer. Just relax all the way down, and everything you hear adds to your ability to learn this totally. Just consider all the ways this will enhance your life, knowing what you know now and knowing what you will learn later on during this webinar. And all the people I know really love to go into a deep trance because— and right away he come aware, he uses it because, as we did later or earlier. And to connect them. Modal operator, I said sometimes there are small differences, is one of those. Where it was first generalization, always, never, this has more words of necessity, and it implies necessity or possibility. Although we have to be careful with them because we create necessity in a person, they're still extremely useful in some moments that you can learn. You could begin the process. It also implies a more directive way of hypnosis and hypnotherapy. And there is no right or wrong in this part. Just be aware that you do. What I say now, just be aware that you do, is one of them. So it's possible for you to absorb all the learnings now, and you can really enjoy your new learnings. There are more embedded commands, you could almost say. A person had to let things go sometimes. And you can really enjoy all your new learnings. And I guess a person has to let all of these go sometimes. I love the tech question which to do later on and ask them after that, is it not? I like to combine them. Nominalization. Nominalization. 6 syllables. Isn't it amazing, English? Again, is it not amazing? You'll come aware that these kind of questions are tag questions or negative tag questions. So all the language we use here, you will come aware of later. And again, all the language I use is— yes, what I did already 2 times— generalization. Process words, verbs which have been frozen by time in making them into nouns. They get it that way. They delegate a great deal of information or words which describes a process as it was a thing. NLP also loves normalization, so we make a noun of a verb. Each new learning Creates more satisfaction and more wisdom. So we make from learning what's a verb a noun, so it becomes a thing. Good communication requires relaxation. Do I have to say more? It is just true. Each new learning creates more satisfaction and more wisdom. And it's the same as the previous one. I just come aware I have it twice in there. That's also nice. Sometimes double is better. Living the good life requires giving yourself the occasional well. Making nouns of it. And living the good life requires giving yourself the occasional well-deserved reward. That's what the full sentence is, because I've thought already, hey, I miss to miss something. I will change this later on. Accessing your own inner knowledge. Will give you unlimited wisdom and understanding. Again, you make it a noun as this already there. If you go to unspecified verbs, you touch a little bit further on what we just said. So you see the verb not as a noun, But it doesn't tell you what happened in a sensory-specific way. And the sensories are what we smell, what we taste, what we feel. It's like you're grown in many new ways. How are you grown? Mentally, physically, emotionally? It's not said, so it's unspecified. So The client in that way can fill in the gaps, because the whole thing what we like to do with all the different kind of language patterns is to direct the client to finding possibilities to overcome the issue, heal himself, go to a next phase, create new learnings, create new insights. So these sentences help in that way. And you can just continue to relax and slow down while you listen to this and just learn new things. And I come aware that again, you're growing in many new ways. It's double the same as this one, and you can Also here, and you can— where's can for? And I want you to become is similar. Now we come to my favorite one, the tag questions. It's designed to displace resistance but also to confuse the client because it actually does not know what to answer. Of course, just imagine you have the positive question followed by a negative one. So this is the last one, is it not? And you can, can't you not? Just imagine what should you answer. Are you answering the first or the second one? So the mind becomes confused. Should I now answer the first one or not the first? Or not the first? Should I answer the second? When if I answer it, what do I actually answer? It can also be the other way around, a negative followed by positive one. Don't you relax now, or do you? We don't agree. Do you? You don't agree. Yes, I don't agree. Or do you don't agree? Some people have issues with it following it. The negative tag question is the most used one, and it is a negative question following a positive one. You can begin to understand this process now, can you not? So on the first you say yes, I can understand this process. Can you not? So what should you answer on a negative question? Can you not? Can you not? Yes is wrong, so you should say no. Can you not? Because double negative is no. So the first one you like to say yes on, and the second one you actually have to say no on. They come over here, that's why they're confusing. So it creates less resistance because whatever they say, it's actually also true. If they say yes, it's true. If they say no, it's true. And the good thing is they actually always say yes. Even if they say no, they say yes. Because if you say no, can you not? No. You say actually yes. So it's easy to get enthusiastic about trying this out. Is it in? Is it not? A few of examples. So you can get in that wonderful state of relaxation, can you not? The tag question. You will hear about it when I talk many times. Is it not? Simple deletions, recovering awareness of experiments of sensory input. A section of a sentence is missing. For me, it's easy as being dyslexic. I do it by nature, but here you do it on purpose. You may understand as you wonder. You may be curious. Remember a time when you were spoken to pleasantly. All different kind of things where you actually miss something. Just like if you go to the lack of referential index, where the subject of the sentence is unspecified. The noun being talked about is so totally generalized that it doesn't specify any one thing. It doesn't refer to any one thing. Careful, these are non-I messages. What do I mean with this beautiful explanation? One can, you know, learn language patterns easily. And just imagine if you say that hypnotically: one can, you know, learn language patterns easily. And some people know, others may begin to feel. And you know the feeling, is it not? And people can learn easily When they relax, become aware. It has an what also said a close connection with generalizations, and this is an enjoyable experience. And certain memories can surprise and delight you. So when you go from here to comparative deletion, unspecified comparison, Again, you work on the fact that it is so general that people have an issue with making it specific, so they just say yes to what's happening. Where the comparison is made and it's not specified as to what or to whom it was made, sooner or later, at one time, Or another, and more and more, and more or less the right thing. Sometimes it's better to feel now, and then sometimes it's better to think. Allow yourself to think less but enjoy more. You will fully understand, more fully, fully how you will get more enjoyment out of your relationships once you've read on. And you could allow yourself to worry less but enjoy learnings more. You can see there are comparisons, but to what and to where? So it becomes a general comparison, and they are more accepting those kind of things because the critical mind is out. Pacing current experiences is we go on and connect Cause and effect patterns, where you experience something in a way it's undeniable. So it is rather connected with truisms. The only thing is, in a truism, you know for sure it's true. Here, sometimes it is also a Exception, an assumption. You can hear my voice slowing down, so you can relax now. It's such a warm and comfortable day, you can go in trance easily. The pace current experience Is actually through some pacing, but here it's connected right away. You're seeing this for the second time now and appreciating it more fully. It's such a warm, comfortable day; you can learn easily. You're sitting here listening to me, looking at me, looking at the screen. And while you do so, it can make you feel more connected with the learnings when you understand this. And while you're sitting there and here listening to my voice, maybe writing your own notes in your own words from mine, you will learn even more. And when you understand this fully, you really can absorb it in your subconscious and conscious mind. Utilization. Let's go on, we're almost halfway. Utilize all that happens or is said, using the client language, using any client comments or other incidental events and linking them to suggestions. And the utilization is what we say, you utilize everything that you hear. The sound of the train in my training room, the sound of the wind, the sound of the airco, the sound of your own voice, the sound of people talking outside can remind you of how quiet it is in here as you relax. The client who says, I don't think I'm in trance yet, and we can respond, that's right, you don't think so, because you're evaluating trance with your conscious mind, and it is your unconscious mind Which know how to go in trance now. And as they dance together, your conscious mind and your not conscious mind, your subconscious mind, you can even allow yourself to go more in trance with every sound and every breath you take. The client who says, I'm not sold— that's right, you're not sold yet. Because you haven't asked one, the one question that will have you totally and completely sold. Truisms. And when we talk about the pacing, the truisms are what is really true. It is even more undeniable generalization. It's always true. Sooner or later, your eyes will close. Just try to deny that, because on one moment sooner or later today, your eyes will close. Even if it's tonight when you go to bed, and maybe they do it earlier, because every blink you make, your eyes close, even if it's for one millisecond. And most people can relax easier once they sit down. And sooner or later you will be in a situation where something has to be sorted out between you and something else. Try to deny that somewhere in time you will have a situation has to be sorted out. And just deny— most people can learn easier once they know what they have want to achieve. In the moment you know what you like to achieve with this training, you learn easier because you're more focused. Is it not? Let's see. Have a spelling mistake here. Most people can experience one hand being lighter than the other hand. When you really go to the Hypnotic state we learned, and the yes sets are important in a pacing rhythm that from one goes to another. And if the subconscious mind says a couple of times, the conscious mind says a couple of times yes, it's easier to fall in that pattern, the habitual of doing so. Are your legs uncrossed? Are you aware of your breathing? Can you hear my voice getting quieter? Are you going in trance now? After all, you chose to come here watching this webinar. You're sitting in a chair. You're listening to my voice. Why don't you relax even more deeply and let your conscious and subconscious mind learn in their own way? And just to make you happy, as you're looking at the diagram on page 10, Just as an example. Are you noticing these various labels? Are you wondering how easy it will be to learn them? So why not go ahead and notice which ones you can already remember? After all, you chose to come here. You're sitting in the chair, you're listening to my introduction, so why not take the time to consider the value of this service to you? A beautiful, almost inductional state. Phonological ambiguity. I thought I would just let you first read it before I say something. Inserting meaning caused by use of a word sounding like another word. Court. There's something to learn here. You can be aware because your conscious mind and unconscious mind knows eyes and ears are receiving information. And buy now, you can buy now. Well, words that are connected and can play that same— and synthetic ambiguity is still the ambiguity of not knowing. It's making actually a continuing state of it, so using the -ing at the end. And we put it in a part in the sentence where we don't know exactly what it means. Hypnotizing hypnotists can be tricky. Baha. Learning states can be useful. We Become aware that the -ing could create an uncertain meaning. Worth a star, being a star, a star in heaven. Scope ambiguity is where it actually— it is not clear where the verb or adverb applies to. Or adjective. Remembering as a child how easy it is to relax. Be aware that you're sitting here able to listen to the sound of— Where is it referring to? That's the main question. My voice, sorry, my voice, and go into a deep trance. How's my voice connected with a deep trance? Sitting here connected with the sound of. And now, as a child, how easy is it to learn? Remembering as a child, as a child you can learn easily because we learn so much. But how easy is it to learn as and be a child? When you're looking at the latest research model, able to consider how well it meets your needs. And also meets and needs is coming actually already from previous where one connects with the other based on it almost sounds the same, meets and needs. Lovely people and the boys in the band, they are somewhere connected and we don't know where it is connected to. A punctual ambiguity— yes, there's a lot of ambiguity in this world. There's actually where we could stop or pause, or a lack of pause that creates ambiguity. In the sentence, your unconscious mind can relax fully now. That's right. Now you're begun to go. Into trance. You're, you're deciding to do this course. It can be an important step in, in defining what you want for the future. And that pause somewhere creates a connection, or the lack of pause creates a connection. That's right. Now you've begun to remember fully all the things you learned. Boom! And this somewhere right away in your head. The punctuation. This child adores the crème de la crème. And although we used them already in the sentences before, let's touch the embedded commands. Directives that are embedded within a sentence redirect the person to do something. It's a double message and sends one message to the conscious mind and another to the unconscious mind. So you touch the head and the heart and the gut in the same moment. You will absorb new learnings. I don't know if you will remember this now or later. The message is you will absorb it, you will remember, but we don't know exactly when or how. But your conscious and subconscious mind, your head brain, will understand it. Your heart brain and gut brain will somewhere in one moment just absorb it and embed it. And I invite you to tell me everything. And only to tell me everything in any way you wish. And this is also actually already adding some other kind of qualities in it, but it's a nice sentence as I also like it because it's creating opposites. And it isn't right for me to tell you to learn this or that. Learn in any way you wish, in any order you wish. So I give the embedded command to learn, but right away also say that it's not for me to tell you how and how and when and whatever. So the embedded command is in there, although it sounds that I don't. And with every breath you take, you can become more and more aware of the natural rhythms. Of your body and feelings, of the comfort that develops. You can also have embedded questions, and that's the next one. A sentence with a question included to which an overt response is not expected. Wow, what should we mean with that? I wonder whether you know which hand will rise first. Just like you say, I wonder whether you become aware which part of your body will relax a little bit more. If you weren't to know when are you going in trance, and as you know, some people can say they enjoy a deep state of trance easily and effortlessly. So Simply by closing your eyes and just letting go. You can see here that is a question, but we don't know the response in there. The suggestion is the opposite of question. In the question we ask it, here we suggest it, and here we play with our voice. To give it more meaning, so it really goes into the system. I don't know how soon you will begin to feel better, and I believe I now know how. To relax deeply. I don't know how soon you will begin to learn more easily. You can also play the other way around to give more emphasis, because in a question most times we can go up. Is it not? Is it not? That you give a different kind of meaning to it. I believe I now understand the real benefits of this hypnotherapy course following and about great lessons Christopher is sharing with us. The same as you could also have negative suggestions. Always to create a positive at the end, but they're negative. Don't go into a trance until your unconscious mind is ready. In my words, don't go in a trance until your gut brain really feels safe enough to do so. Don't go in a trance until your heart really feels that it wants the love it desires. You don't need to make any effort to relax fully. And don't get excited about all the things you will be learning until you have noticed how easy it was. And they sound negative, but they are actually positive. You don't need to make any effort to understand all the advantages and all the different kind of patterns we just discussed. Illusory choices— I love the word. It is a choice between left and right. The sentence way. So your hand may flow up easily. Oh, sorry, I say officially, your hand may float up slowly or quickly, to the left or the right, or perhaps not move at all. In any case, let it be a sign of how much deeper your trance is. So it is the choices. You will come aware it also has a lot of including all the possibilities in there. Do you want to go in trance slowly or quickly? They give them choice, but actually you say what they're going to do. You can revise the information slowly or quickly, making extra notes or using the same notes, or even by simply rereading the sections in the book. But in any case, congratulate yourself once you've done it. Do you want to look at your notes as you're developing skills with the language patterns, or would you prefer to use one language pattern at a time after you reviewed the whole model of the manual? Hey, there are choices. But at the end, we're going to do it. So they are part of the conscious and unconscious binds. So you connect the conscious and the subconscious mind. In the old words, you connect the head brain, the gut brain, and the heart brain. Your unconscious mind is listening and learning. Your conscious mind knows certain things about going into trance. You could say the same in my language. Hey, your gut brain is listening to connect with your heart brain to really learn. In your head, your logical mind is analyzing all the things what were just being said. By analyzing, it just allows all 3 of them to go into trance. But your unconscious mind can tell you if you're already gone into trance now. And only by listening to your unconscious mind, you can learn those kind of things. And from one bind to another bind, the double bind— a great choice, but all the choices are acceptable. You can change as quickly or slowly as you want to now. The change is there, you can do it quickly or slowly. Will you take a bath before or after your goodnight story? The bath is there, you can just choose. And that means your unconscious mind is paying attention, or you're already relaxed completely. I'm already relaxed. And if your unconscious mind knows more about it than your conscious mind does, and if your unconscious mind knows more than your conscious mind does, then you probably know more about it than you think you do. This is also confusion, but it's also double bind. Unconscious mind and conscious mind are playing together. Not knowing, not doing bind. I like that one. People can sleep and not know they are sleeping. They can dream and not remember the dream. And you don't know when your eyelids were closed all by themselves. It is a not knowing, not doing bind. It is a specific one where you can say not knowing and not doing, where you connect them. People don't know exactly what they're doing. People sometimes know what they do, but they're not knowing actually what all their body parts are doing. You can know that you are relaxed, but you do not know that still some body parts are moving. Conversational postulate—the first time I heard it, I really had to look up what does it mean. It means communication has the form of a question, a question to which the response is either yes or no. It allows you, it allows you to choose or to respond or not, and avoids the authoritarian way of hypnotherapy. And this is really what Erickson also introduced, the permissiveness. If I want you to do something, what else must be present so that you will do it and out of your awareness? Do you feel this is something you understand? Also here it connects the feeling and understanding, so it connects actually the conscious and the subconscious mind, the emotions and the logic. Will you feel more comfortable with your eyes unfolded? Whatever the yes or no, I ask permission, and based on that permission and connecting, we create more connection. Selectional restriction violation. It doesn't have to do anything with lockdowns or whatever. A sentence that is not well formed in that only humans and animals can have feelings. A chair can have feelings. You're sitting on it. Do you ever come aware how it feels for the chair that you're sitting on it? And the car knew how to get there. And the walls are listening into all our conversation. They have ears. As you write your notes, you know that your pen sees these learnings too. And your computer Stores all the information he has, and in that way learns all the things you also want to learn. Repetition is key. That is used in the last sentence, the last word in the sentence as the first words in a new sentence. Imagine that the door is leading. To your and forest full of trees. Trees with all different kind of colors and sounds. Sounds that rustle of the leaves touched by the wind. Wind that is feeling fresh. Fresh like a cold drink in the summer. And summer always gives me the feeling of based on that repetition, people will go in a flow of hypnosis because it all makes sense. This is an Technique that stage hypnotherapists love to use because they're leading you to a whole story. And because the story is connected, you go from A to Z without even knowing— knowing that you can go from A to Z. Z is the last word in the alphabet, but the alphabet starts with A. So if it starts with A, A, B, C, C, D, E, E, F, G, G, where will it lead to? Oh, time distortion. I went back. Time distortion is where we distort time, is what it says. When there's a marked difference between the seeming duration and the clock reading. Now listen to me carefully. When I give you the starting signal by saying now, you are going to spend at least half an hour of your special time reading in an automobile, and it is going to be a nice ride. Here comes the starting signal now. Now come back to here and now with all your intention and tell me what happened. That's the internal clock and external clock, that the internal clock time goes much faster than the external clock time. Is it not that in dreams We can go through years. Well, actually the time is just minutes. And we're getting to the end, so no worries. After all these kind of things, the more you get confused, the better you learn. And changing a subject in a sentence halfway through Creates a beautiful confusion that sometimes makes it easier. If at first not fully at ease, you can shift around until you feel completely relaxed. From me to you, temporal predicates, the change of Time verbs. Example: where past, now, present, shall, future, once, in specific. Now you are happy. The time verbs are different. In the past, we used to do things now, and now is sometimes the future. But the past was actually now 10 seconds ago. Cover all the possibilities. I came aware of it already, I said that earlier. It is created that if we are giving directions to clients in a metaphorical story, like imagine you walk in a forest And while you see all the little leaves on the tree, the moment I say little trees or little leaves on the tree, I assume there are little leaves. But maybe in your mind the forest has big leaves or the trees has big leaves. So in this moment you cover it all. So the client, whatever it says, is also right. So whenever you walk in a forest, you can see the small leaves, the big leaves, and sometimes you don't see leaves because it's autumn. Sometimes you even see snow when it is really winter. In the sun, sometimes it's so hot the leaves even crumble brown. So sooner or later you will find a finger or a thumb, a bit perhaps by itself. It can move up or down, to the side or press down. It can be slow or quick, or perhaps not move at all. The important thing is to sense fully Whatever feelings develop, that's how you use all the possibilities. So people, whatever they imagine, it's true. So I don't know how you're sitting now, if you're watching it on your iPhone, your computer, your iPad, or maybe just are listening to it. Maybe you sit in the chair, maybe you lie down on the beach, maybe in your bed, maybe you're just on the floor, or maybe you're walking around. It doesn't actually matter how you listen to it, or how you see it, or how you absorb it, or how you actually repeat it or not repeat it, if you pause or not pause. The most important thing is that you do it in your own time without letting me know if it's right or wrong. And the more you know it in your own way, and the more you do it in your own way, you don't even know what you're doing, and you're doing what you don't know. The most important thing is that you just do it. As an example, analog marketing— marking. I cannot show you, but actually it is verbally and nonverbally pointing out Where you are. And this really— you can go into trance now. You will let your eyelids close and change in volume, pitch, and speed of what you're saying. And so what I said before That you could listen to it while you have the volume out loud, or maybe totally soft. If you listened in normal speed or slow speed, if you repeat it or not repeat it in your own time— time, your time will be your time, so you can play with it. And while you open your eyes, you will be aware that you're here behind the computer, behind the phone, behind whatever you do. Not on the 12th of January, as I say here, but of whatever date it is. And as everybody knows, I love confusion, and I already did it a couple of times. What is the reason of confusion? It stops the critical head brain from thinking. So to overload it, and it just is willing to follow you. And the most famous one is important to remember to forget certain things. And so it's important not to forget to forget certain things, so you can remember to remember and forget to forget. Therefore, be aware to forget that you like to remember to forget certain things. What this is, you could remember to remember to forget. Are you still there? No, probably not. And if you are, maybe you are not. The including of opposites already said it, but just pointing it out again. Opposites is different than everything. It's actually saying left or right. Your thumb can go up or can come down. Say what is good and saying what's bad. It's terrible kind to visit us. We're awfully good time. So you say what's right and what's wrong so people can all have all the opposites and all the things you can say. So I'm extremely clear in this webinar unless I'm not. And I'm an amazing teacher. Unless I am not. Sometimes I'm rather good at my pronunciation, and sometimes I'm terrible, awfully good in my pronunciation. Different kind of opposites. Permissiveness. Now, we spoke about it actually already from day one in hypnotherapy training. Het is de client te geven permission te doen en not te doen. En ik kom alweer, ik heb twee spellingmistakes in hier, so I will change those. But everything, the most important thing, where everything we say is all right. Permissiveness is giving the permission to do and not to do. So everything is all right. I hope you enjoyed this webinar. If you have any questions, just ask me while I make some little changes to the last sentence I had. Have fun, learn hard, read it in the manual or actually in the offset of the Ericssonian language. Ciao ciao!
