In this solo talk, Christoffel Sneijders explores how relationships—whether personal, familial, or professional—can become more than the sum of their parts when participants connect on a deeper, collective‑intelligence level. He introduces the metaphor of "1 + 1" where the outcome can be zero (toxic), two (ordinary), or greater than two (synergistic). Drawing on a recent Robert Dilts seminar on NLP and somatic brain integration, he explains that aligning head, heart, and gut creates a resonant rapport that transcends simple mirroring. Sneijders shares a vivid workshop anecdote in which a client’s indecision about which bridge to cross is resolved through a group‑generated Alice‑in‑Wonderland metaphor (the Cheshire Cat), illustrating how collective energy can surface insights that feel almost psychic. He argues that such collective intelligence can be harnessed in teams, therapy, and everyday relationships to boost energy, creativity, and decision‑making, and calls for further exploration of how to deliberately cultivate this resonance.

Hey, good to see you. Just imagine you're together with somebody. You can imagine now somebody you really like. You can think about your partner, your parents, your kids. Maybe you can think about your colleagues on work. And when you are together, say you're here, the other one is there, or the others are there, multiple. And your qualities and your qualities If you add them, one and one, what's the outcome? Is the outcome of the one and one is that two or even more? So you really connect both qualities and become more than the sum of the individuals, or any totally other scale. If you do one and one, it's so detrimental that it becomes even zero. Or less than zero, a detrimental relationship. How would you do the math on your relationships you have that are important in your life? So your work, your friends, your whatevers. Why is it important to become aware of? Because most people sometimes feel it already that if they are together with somebody, it drains their energy. It brings them low, it brings them out. I've been with that person. Wow, that was a hard one. Sometimes we make those jokes about our parents-in-law. But in a lot of cases when I see clients, they come for me with relationship issues, issues with their work, teams in companies that don't work, and that people just get low in energy when they work together or have to work together. Are together. On the other hand, if you create it much bigger, we call it collective intelligence, collective energy connecting to the beautiful field, and we can make more, then amazing things can happen. Why this little question? Because last week I was at Robert Dilts' seminar talking about collective intelligence. The people who know Robert Dilts doesn't need any introduction. The other people think Robert Dilts. He's one of the founders of NLP and made much more about it, about how we connect with the head and the somatic brain, as we spoke about, and all that kind of things. And there we worked a couple of days on how can we create from one person another person, or persons, a team, more. And why is it so important? Because it's possible. And when we do the remaster workshop or training in clinical hypnotherapy or NLP, Dat is ook mijn idee hoe we kunnen creëren van de individuen meer. In een remaster workshop is het even, really something we work on because if all the people are there want to learn and like to experience something, just imagine that all those people have a positive intention, want to help themselves, want to help others and connect. Now really those people will experience something that's more than amazing. As an example, I was in a workshop and we worked together in a team. And one of the persons had an issue, and she wanted to go further with it, wanted to make choices. And her choices were seen as, I like to go to the other side of the river, but I see 50,000, or in her case, 50 bridges. I don't know which one to take, and I'm totally puzzled, and it makes me back and forth and back and forth. So as a team, we had to give, say, things that popped up from the Field of energy around us. Now, if we connected with her, what came in? And in one moment, when I was asked, I said, you know, the Smiley Cat from Alice in Wonderland steps in my head, or in my heart, or in my intention. Now, when Alice gets to the Smiley Cat, the Cheshire Cat, she asks, hey, where can I go to? And the cat says, doesn't matter, go left, go right, you'll get somewhere. She said, no, no, no, you don't understand. I'm running away from the, from the queen. I like to escape her. The cat said, if you run fast enough, go left or right, it's still okay. That went on a couple of times. At the end, she says, but I like to go back to my family. Then the cat says, oh, you could have asked me that 8 questions before. Then you go to the left, first village to the right, you're there. And the main idea is, if you don't know where you want to go to, every direction is is okay. And if you really want to know what your objective is, you can really focus on that. And that woman almost started to cry. I thought, wow, what's happening here? Robert Dilts or something, what's happening here? And she said, when I was really young, I was afraid of Alice in Wonderland. I always had sort of— it chokes me. And I was afraid of the rabbit and those kind of things. But now I see the whole story and how it connects to— it always made me scared because I was running away from everything without knowing where I had to go to. But I now see From the metaphor I just got, that my direction is this, so I know which bridge to take. And we had something like, wow, that's amazing, Robert Diltz. I said, this is how it works. When you connect to the collective intelligence, that's more than we know, because Christoffel didn't know her or doesn't know her at all. You can have answers that some people say psychic or energy fields or whatever, that just come to people. It happens to me a lot when I work individual one-to-one with clients, but never on a stage when I was exposed to 80 other people. Why is that so important? Because it right away proved for the whole crowd there of NLP masters and other kind of people, psychologists, but also to me again, that if we really taproot in a connection with people, 1 and 1 can become that 3, that 4, that 5, that 6, that 8, if we really connect and make it happen. I love to talk further about it, but we will do that later on, about how we also can create collective intelligence. But the most important thing is what I already said: if you connect your head, your heart, and your gut, you really align it so you really feel in your own energy, and the other person is somewhere the same, you can find each other. What in NLP is called something like rapport, but even better than rapport, almost resonance. You really connect in the energy fields because rapport is most times mirroring and matching somebody. Probably rapport and resonance next time. Love to see you. Have joy, have fun, and make 1 1 3 with the people you love in your Working around. Ciao!
