In this YouTube talk, Christoffel Sneijders recounts a 1.5‑hour NLP session with a female client who wanted to lose weight by changing her eating habits. He guides her through a structured exploration of perceived gains from changing, perceived benefits of staying the same, the negatives of not changing, and the feared losses associated with change. The client initially lists positive motivations (more activity, confidence, comfort at the beach, better dancing) and acknowledges the pleasures of her current eating habits (taste, socializing, cooking). She also identifies health risks, aging, reduced activity, and loss of dancing as negatives of staying overweight, while fearing loss of mental energy and body shape if she changes. Using NLP techniques, Sneijders reframes these beliefs, leading the client to spontaneously describe her new lifestyle with only positive descriptors—active, positive, energized, beautiful, sexy—without any remaining negatives. He presents this rapid shift as evidence of NLP’s power, promotes further NLP training, and advertises his “Remaster Yourself” workshop that combines NLP, hypnotherapy, Reiki, and breathwork.

Hi, NLP and the powerful results it creates. Today I had a training, and in the NLP training, one of the ladies asked me if we could work on changing her habits about food, about eating, so she could lose weight. And I said, of course, let's work on it with a beautiful tool we have, or more tools we have, or techniques we have. So I asked her first, what is the gain if you will change your life habit and become, say, living a healthy life? And do the change. She said, I'll be more active. And by the way, more important, I will feel more confident about myself, about my own body. I will feel much more comfortable if I go to the beach, and I feel much more comfortable when I do my dancing, because she loves to dance. And last, she said, I will not look at the watch anymore because now I look at the watch and think, oh, I should eat something. Makes sense. Positive reasons for change. Then I asked, what will you gain if you do not change? So you use the zero option, not changing. What is the benefit of that, of staying who you are? And she looked at me and said, actually, What will I gain? The pleasure of eating, because I love to eat. And she said, also the pleasure of being socializing while eating with friends or with family. It will be much more fun. And also gain eating with my partner, because he eats much more than I do because he has a faster metabolism or whatever. So then we'll be really unequal. And if I do the same as now, we can match up with a starter, main, and dessert. He can have it and I cannot have it. And the last thing she said, when we're at home, I always do the cooking. I love to cook and I love to taste. So if I don't change, I can still do that without any difficulties. So you see right away why it's hard. Confidence, more active, or fun. Then we went deeper and asked, what will you lose if you do not change? What are all the negatives if you do not change? So you stay the same, you stay who you are, what's negative about it? He said, actually, that's my health. When I'm much more overweight, maybe there's a chance of diabetes 2 or whatever, my health will deteriorate. And also My young looks will somewhere disappear if I grow weight even more. And so I become older much faster. And my active life I have will also diminish because I cannot do all the things I want to do in that moment. And last but not least, probably I will lose my dancing because if I'm so overweight, I cannot really dance anymore as I do now. So I show also a lot of reasons why she would like to change. And as last, I asked, what will you really lose if you change? So you become that new person, that new habit, that new belief. What will you lose? What are the negatives from it? And she looked at me and thought, and she said, you know, probably I will lose the energy for my brain. If I don't eat what I eat now, probably I have less energy in my brain because it doesn't get all the sugars and all the kind of things. So then I cannot work anymore, I cannot do all my creative things, I cannot create, probably I cannot perform anymore, and probably I'll be much more tired. So I lose all that stability in energy when I change. So she said, I can lose my boobies. That's the last thing. So just imagine the physical change and you connect it with feel more confident about my body and beach. You can see right away where there could be conflict connected. Of course, for a lot of women, feeling secure about the body also means you have the right proportions everywhere. So you can see positives for the change and a lot of strong negatives that holds her back. So we did some techniques of NLP to change this balance. What is the result? I love to show you that one. I asked her, what do you— how do you think now about your new lifestyle? How do you think now about having that new life in eating and food and how you change with it? What are the first words that come into your mind? What are the first words that come into your mind if you're now living a new lifestyle with food and eating, all those kind of things? This is what she said: I will be more active, I'll be more positive, more energized, I'll be more beautiful, I'll be more sexy. And then she stopped. Just imagine: active, positive, energized, beautiful, sexy. Beautiful and sexy. Who doesn't like to be like that and think about their lifestyle as this? I asked her more. What's more? Other words? No, she said, I don't have other words. So I asked, okay, let's dive in. Are there some negatives here? Are there still some negative things that really connected with it? And she looked at me. No. Totally nothing. I don't see, feel, think why it is negative, that new lifestyle I have now. So just imagine, with the NLP we did in 1.5 hours, boom, massive change. If you like to learn that, I would say join one of the NLP trainings. If you like to experience it, you can also go to the Remaster Yourself the Personal Leadership Workshop. That's where we connect NLP, hypnotherapy, Reiki, breathwork in a therapeutical learning way so you can experience the change. And otherwise, you can always see me as a client. Love to see you. Enjoy the beautiful weather and the beach. Okay, have a beautiful weekend or week. Ciao!
