CL Palmer argues that relying on your five senses keeps you stuck in your current situation. Instead, trust an inner vision and take aligned action toward it, even when circumstances look bad. Someone in true alignment stays calm during setbacks, seeing them as redirection rather than failure.

The biggest change you can make is stop living through your senses. Stop worrying about everything that your physical eyes can see and hear and touch, because the thing that you're living for is your vision. That means something that isn't quite tangible yet, but it's something that you're taking action towards. If you're going to take aligned action towards your vision, making decisions based on how things are right now is aligning with your old situation. But the aligned action is telling you to take steps in a different direction. It's telling you to move in a way that actually brings in the fruit that you need. You can always tell when somebody is moving out of alignment versus in alignment by the way that they respond to things that are happening to them, because the person that is in alignment knows that everything is happening for them. A person that's in alignment knows when everything is falling apart, they don't panic because they know they're not being punished. They're being redirected.
