Notebook LM: La IA de Google que Te Hará IMPRESCINDIBLE (y nadie usa)

This is a YouTube video titled "Notebook LM: La IA de Google que Te Hará IMPRESCINDIBLE (y nadie usa)" created in October 2025. The content is a detailed tutorial and demonstration by a single speaker explaining how to use Google's NotebookLM AI tool for professional productivity. The speaker covers the interface, practical use cases such as competitor analysis, client proposal creation, and mass content generation, and shows how to combine NotebookLM with other AI tools like Perplexity, Gemini, and Gamma to enhance workflows. The video is instructional and aimed at professionals looking to leverage AI for strategic and content creation tasks.
While everyone is talking about Chat GPT, there is a Google guide that is completely transforming how professionals work with information. It is called Notebook lm. And if you learn how to use it, you will have a huge advantage. Today I am going to teach you exactly how to use it to do in 15 minutes what used to take you hours. But that is not the most important thing. The most important thing is that you are going to learn how to use it to become the professional that everyone wants to contact, because you can deliver incredible results. We are going to divide this video in the following way. First, we are going to familiarize ourselves with the interface. We are going to see what we can do with it and also its limitations, because it does have some. Then we are going to look at three use cases, and we are also going to see how, by combining it with other artificial intelligence tools, we can do even better and more impressive things. First, we will see how to do a competitor analysis, Then how to present a commercial proposal, and finally, how to create a mass content calendar. So, without further ado, let's get started. The first thing we're going to do is find out what NotebookLM is, and we're also going to do a quick review of its interface so we can familiarize ourselves with it. Okay, so what is NotebookLM? They define themselves as an assistant to facilitate learning and research. We can create our own dossiers, or boards, as they call them, notebooks, where we can upload our own sources of information, which can be videos, documents, web pages, even documents that we have in our drive. And what it does is limit itself to that knowledge and interpret it with its artificial intelligence, which in this case, since it's a Google tool, is Gemini. Okay, and we're going to go to its interface, which is this one here. It's a very simple interface. As you can see, they have their featured notebooks, which are notebook options that they propose to us. And just below, we can create personalized notebooks. If we go to the top right where it says Create New, we can click and it will open this window here. Look at the left side. We have sources, and this is where we can add all of our own information sources. If we click on add, we can add documents or files from our own computer. We can add documents that we have in drive or files. Then we can add links to websites, we can add YouTube videos, or we can even copy and paste text. Okay, this is the left hand side. And this is going to be the fuel that makes everything else work. Okay, so we're going to Add our sources in the central part, we're going to be able to interact in that chat with the artificial intelligence it has. And we're going to be able to work on the content that we've uploaded. And then on the right hand side we have the study area, which is where we can create other things based on the content that we've shared with it. With the case studies you're going to see. This is very expensive and you'll understand its power. But I'll tell you in advance that we can create audio summaries that are in podcast format. We can create video summaries in presentation format, concept maps, reports. And here is a very powerful new feature that we are going to see. In one of the cases we can also create flashcards and even questionnaires. This would be its interface. As you can see and as I was saying, it is very simple. But now let's go directly to the practical use cases. Our first use case is the analysis of a competitor. You will be able to adapt this to whatever your sector is. But in this case, let's imagine that we are a real estate agency and we want to analyze one of our biggest competitors. In this case, I have thought of Gels and Wokers because it is a franchise, a brand that is practically known internationally. Well, what we are going to do here is the following. We are going to combine various tools that are not just Notebook LM because I want you to see all the flow and power that it has combined. So the first thing I did was go to Perplexity and I asked it to do several in depth searches for me. On the one hand, I asked her to create a study for me on the real estate market sector, how it currently stands in Spain. I also asked her for the last five press releases about Angles and Wokers, the most recent ones, if you notice. I told her over here, I want you to look for the latest press releases from Ingles and Wokers in Spain. So she made me this list. I clicked on Export PDF and she simply downloaded the document. Another thing I did was to look for reviews on forums and social networks from clients, from her own clients, as you know, and as we saw in last week's video, we at Perplexity can come to this part here and by clicking on the second logo in Research, we go right to the globe icon that we have on the side and we can ask her to search on social networks and in ways like Reddit, etc. Right. So we asked her to look for these reviews and opinions of this Brand. Next I went to LinkedIn and looked at the last five posts from the brand itself and also from people who work for the company in important positions. And then we're also going to grab their website. So once we've done all this here with perplexity and downloaded it in PDF format, we're going to do the following. We're on LM Notebook page, we're going to click on add, and here we're going to select files in this case. So here I already have all this previous research that I've done with the press releases, LinkedIn posts, the real estate market research in Spain, the reviews and the competitive analysis of angles and wokers. Okay, going to upload all this and right now it's already reading these sources. And also what I'm going to do is grab the address, the URL of Angles and Walkers. I'm going to copy it and here and add. What I'm going to do is go to website, copy this URL and I'm going to click on insert. Once we have them inserted here we have it. And it also gives us a short summary. Some of the new features that NotebookLM allows us to do is customize reports. In other words, we can now give IT prompts to act in a certain way. Now let's see this first in the chat section I'm going to do the following. I'm going to click on configure personalized notebook. Ok, and here we can define the conversation style we want. That is we can give it a role. So what I'm going to do in this case is tell it to act as a strategy consultant. We're going to click on save and here we can now, for example, ask it to give me a summary of the company's strengths and weaknesses. So what it's going to do now is act according to the role we've given it. And based solely on the sources we've just given it, it's going to give me this list. Look, it says acting as a strategy consultant, I proceed to perform the analysis. He gives us a strategic summary of Ingalls and Walker's the strategic and competitive strengths. He has a positioning as a luxury and exclusive brand, a global network and unmatched reach. They are financially successful and a leader in the premium segment. Here we move on to the vulnerabilities he finds. He talks about inconsistencies and operational failures, legal risk, misleading information. So if I like what he is telling me here and I don't want to lose it, what we are going to do now is essential. We are going to click on this pin that appears here below. Save as a note. When we do this, notice that it appears on the right side in the study section. And if we click on the three dots that we have here, we can automatically convert it into a source. We do that, and what happens is that it appears as a source in this part here. It would be this one here. Competitive analysis of angles and walkers. Okay, so by analyzing the sources that we have provided, we can create our own notes and they can become sources themselves. Okay, what else can we do with this? No, because this is interesting, but it falls short. Okay, let's go to the reports section. We're going to click on reports. And this is a new feature. That is to say, until now, we could create generic reports. But now NotebookLM allows us to predict them, to give them instructions to do very specific things. So in this case of angles and walkers, we could prepare a report. Imagine that we have a client who is a real estate agency to whom we want, for example, to offer a marketing service. We could generate a report with this analysis that we just did of their competitor and arrive at a meeting with that work done. So this is very powerful and saves us a lot of time. But in this case, I want to show you that we are going to use this report to equip our sales team, our salespeople, to have arguments to be able to beat, in this case, our competitor, or at least to be able to refute objections that clients may have. So what I am going to do is in the report section, I am going to choose your own creation. And in this section, it tells us that we can select the language. There are many, and they work very well in practically all languages. So we are going to describe the report that you want to create. And what we are going to tell it is that based solely on these sources, it identifies three undeclared weaknesses of the competitor. In this case, angles, angel, and wokers. We are also going to ask it to give us two opportunities that they are missing and that we can obviously use as a specific argument against the objection of being too expensive. In other words, in our case, we are a real estate agency, and there are clients who want to haggle with us on the price of their commission, for example, and then it uses a personalized report to generate a battle card. A battle card is a document that is usually distributed among sales representatives with an analysis of the competitor and also with the arguments that can help them overcome objections. So we are going to tell it to generate a one page battle card in executive format with those findings including exact quotes from the sources. So we are going to click on generate and it will get to work. Right now here we would have our report done. It usually takes a while. So I have it created here. So look what it has done here. It does a battle card, a competitive analysis of Angleton Walkers. It analyzes the competitor's profile, also in table format. Because it gives us their declared strengths and gives us the evidence on that. That is the quotes exactly as we have requested. Then the undeclared weaknesses. Weakness number one, operational failures weakness number two, weakness three, missed market opportunities. And it gives us in this case two key arguments how to counter the price objection and hear the client's objection. Right. Their proposal is interesting, but their fees seem high at the level of Engle and Woker. So we are going to give them our strategic response based on what notebook LM is proposing to us in this case. But in addition to this, we can also, for example, in this case create an audio summary which is what we have done next. So here we can go to audio summary and if we click on the pencil here above, we can create a personalized audio summary. That is, we can ask for it with detailed information that it is brief, that it is critical, that it is a debate. In this case I have asked for an audio summary that is critical. Okay. In this way it helps me see this analysis that we have just done from another perspective. So the result of this, so you can see, because it's really competitive, quite detailed about angle and walkers in Spain. The idea is to detect weak points, opportunities and well, build a solid counteroffer. Yes, an interesting document, really. It gets to the point identifying operational problems and certain practices that generate doubts. It's a good starting point. Yes, it's really incredible. And this would be an audio that we can download and work on. We can pass it on to the rest of our team, our staff, our sales representatives, or even create reports on it, do more in depth studies. So we would simply have to come to the three dots, click download here. And yes, there is one thing I want to warn you about. It will be downloaded in MP4. Okay. So this could create conflict when using it. If we want to upload it to another artificial intelligence, as we are going to see now. So very simple here we can simply change the extension, we click rename and here we put MP3 and here we would no longer have any problems. And we could upload it, for example, in this case in Gemini, so that it could help us with another task. Well, something I want to show you that I have done with this report. I have taken this battle card and here, as we have seen, we have it in text format and we could send it by email to whomever we want. But you will agree with me that this is quite cumbersome, right? And we may run a high risk that they will not even look at it or read it. Well, for this we have a solution and it is very simple. At the beginning, we use perplexity to do these studies to come to Notebook LM and to be able to do our analysis of our competitor much better. And now what we are going to do is we are going to take this report, this competitive analysis that NotebookLM has done for us. In this case, we are going to copy it and we are going to go to Gemini so that it creates an interactive dashboard that we can share with our team. As simple as coming to Gemini, selecting the Canvas option and telling it make me an interactive panel to present an analysis of my client's biggest competitor. I've taken and copied all the content that it gave us, that report that Notebook LM created for us, and I'm going to show you. Look here we have that interactive panel. We click on open, and this is what Gemini has created for us, a fully interactive, highly visual panel that is also very responsive. If we click on the sections, as you can see, everything is displayed with the information that we want. This is a very interesting way of working on these reports and creating workflows by combining different artificial intelligence tools that allow us to reach places where we previously lacked time, but also to do it in a much better way, even much more disruptive. But that's not all, because if we don't like this interactive panel, we can do something else that is also very interesting, and that is to copy this report that Notebook LM just gave us, go to an application like it could be Gamma, where we can also use its free version and create a document ready with graphics visual attractive in less than three minutes to send to whomever we want. The next use case is to prepare a proposal for a potential client. So I have it prepared here. Okay. Because this one takes a little more time. And what we have done is simulate that. We have a solar panel company where we focus on creating these facilities for companies. Okay? And our imaginary potential client is this one here, which is Bodegas Muga. Okay. I found it very interesting because they have wineries, and given the sector, this could be a product that fits them quite well, so what I have done has been to come to Notebook lm and the first thing has been, well, to share with him. Look here, a request brief. I have shared with him some fictitious conversations that I have had with this client, meetings and emails that we have exchanged so that he can understand the whole context and the point at which we are in our negotiation. Then I have shared with him three previous proposals from other clients that have been accepted so that you can identify the structure. Below, I have provided a brochure that is a PDF where we explain what our service consists of, what it is like and what our product itself is. Okay. Then I shared a success story of a previous fictitious client. And then I provided the website of, in this case, Mooga Wineries. Okay. So that you can see which client we are talking about. Perfect. Well, what I have done here is give you the role of a salesperson, in this case, an expert sales manager. At this point I have come and asked you for a report. I have gone to create your own creation. And what I have asked you for is a strategic proposal for photovoltaic self consumption from WA wineries. In this case, what we have done is at this point, as the director, the expert sales manager has analyzed the requirements of Muga wineries. And here I have prepared a report adapting our service and our product to their specific needs. Personalized for them, nothing generic. Very good. Well, with this we could leave it like this, copy it and go and send it to the client. But this would make little sense since we have reached this point. So what I asked him next is to make me a presentation, okay? A presentation so that I could make it to the client in two minutes and send it to them in a much more attractive way. So what he has done here is create the content that will be on those slides for that presentation. So I have done two things. As we have seen in the previous use case. I have copied this from here. I have gone to Gemini and I have said, make me an interactive panel to share with a potential client with this information. So I copied the content of those slides and what it created for me is what you see here. It created an interactive slide panel that I could share, copy the content or share with a more interesting link and send it to my clients so that they could see it in an attractive way. Or in this case, we can do the same as we did in the previous case with Gamma. In this case, we asked him to make a presentation for us and in two minutes we would have a presentation like this one created to be able to send to our client and present our proposal. This is a much better way to present a budget or a potential project to one of our clients, to do it in a fast, totally personalized and also very visual way. And now we move on to case three. What you are going to see now is my treasure chest. It is one of the most useful tools or notebooks that I have created within NotebookLM. And it is that it helps me save time when creating content and also doing it en masse, especially for Instagram and LinkedIn. So let's go here. As you can see, we are on a notebook LM screen. I didn't want to do any simulations for you and show you my own because it's very well structured and I really want you to be able to draw inspiration from it, to apply it. So what I've done here is on the one hand, I've uploaded documents, in this case books by copywriters and creators, even screenwriters that I admire who have been very relevant in history. And in the end, when it comes to creating content, they're the best people to inspire us. So I've uploaded them here in PDF format. I've also uploaded links to YouTube videos of current content creators with very good results and whose judgment I trust. And then I've uploaded my own YouTube videos of content that I've created. If you notice here in brackets I've marked Laura's content. And I've also uploaded market studies from my sector that is the impact of artificial intelligence on the Spanish speaking market where I analyze people's pain points and desires and see a little bit about where all this is moving forward. It's always said right when creating content for social media, it it's very important to know who your audience is, what hurts them, what they want so that you can focus your content much better. Well, those would be the research I have loaded here and then in these that set the tone. There are examples of posts that I've written and also of my own newsletters that I write every day. By the way, if you're not subscribed there, every day I send you an email with relevant news about artificial intelligence with some tricks, some tools. It's actually a very entertaining newsletter. I'll leave the QR code here so you can subscribe. Okay, so here you have both documentation on my tone so that you know how I express myself and how I write. Market data, my market, my sector. It has examples of my content so that you can get inspired by content that I've already created and that we're going to adapt to other platforms and it also has content to learn what works on social media. Okay. Something interesting about Notebook ELM is that we here at ADD have already added. Since we can add sources, we could click on Discover and see what happens. It tells us what interests you. So what it's going to do here is search the web, which is what we have selected right now. And we're going to tell it to search for strategies and content formats for successful social networks that it can use as a source. We're going to click on Send and what it's going to do is search the entire Internet for what I just asked for and it's going to suggest the same sources. Okay. It's going to appear in a few minutes. Look here it gives us, for example, the types of content that give the Most returns in 2025. This is from a website called Penfriend AI. So here we could click on this little button on the side, go to see this source and see if it's reliable. If it's not reliable, if we're interested or not, then a study on social networks 2025. In this case, a study on social networks 2025. Conclusions and strategies, types of content to create on TikTok. How to make the most of them. Instagram carousels, maximizing the potential of UGC content, for example. This one doesn't interest me. Storytelling and growth on social networks. This one could be fine. What is a good audience retention rate? This one? Neither. It's from Reddit and I'm not really interested in it. So here we could go and analyze all these sources and see which ones interest us and which ones don't. Okay, so imagine that we are interested in these. Here they actually interest me. And we are going to click on import. When we click on import, what is going to happen is that these sources are going to be added to the ones that we already had in our left sidebar. And from here we are going to be able to start creating content. So in this case, what we are going to do is that I want it to create content for me. In this case we are going to unselect all sources and what we are going to do is select only, for example, all my YouTube videos. We can also select the files where I explain who my audience is, what they are hurting for, what they want, and also the documents of my tone, and then we will do it. What we can do here is come to the report, create your own content. And here we can tell it to act. Act like an expert content creator and tell it to analyze my most successful content and also put its name, that is in brackets. It says Laura's content, the comments and pain points, that is the comments and pain points of my audience, also in brackets. I have it put as AI market data, current trends, I.e. current trends and also to analyze my tone. I ask it to generate 30 content ideas that follow the patterns of my successful content and my tone that address those pain points, that incorporate those current industry trends and that have a format of reels for Instagram and posts for LinkedIn. I tell it that it must refine the formats following this structure, that is for each idea it creates a table with the idea, the hook or hug, the pain point and the complete script. And then we tell it that it has to deliver 30 complete content ideas for each platform with hooks tested based on my successful style, that is on the videos that have worked best and titles optimized for each platform. So what we would do is hit generate and he will get to work. I asked him for it earlier in this one. Here I copied it and brought it to a Google Docs document to show you. Look strategic content plan 30 ideas for Instagram Reels and LinkedIn. First he explains the strategy behind this content, the guidelines and then the type of script you are following to create the Instagram reels and the same for the structure of the LinkedIn posts. So notice that just as we asked him, here he is creating a table for us where he gives us the key idea that is the plan of three proms for your sector. He tells us the pain point he is addressing, that is fear that the profession of the person who is watching us will disappear. And then he gives us the script for the re and the structure for the LinkedIn post. And that is what he has done with the 30 ideas that we ask for. As you've seen, Notebook LM is a very powerful tool. We have to be careful because the quality of the sources that we provide will be what it will base its answers on and therefore if they are not good, obviously the answers will not be good. But what is wonderful is that here we completely reduce hallucinations because it will not search the entire web like other artificial intelligence tools. As you have seen, in these three practical cases we can do many things with NotebookLM and even more if we combine it with other tools. I hope you have found it useful. I would love for you to leave me in the comments. What other applications you would like us to analyze on the channel and put into practice. I would also love to know what worries you about all this AI stuff, what your fears are and what your wishes are. Because I love reading you. And I'll see you next week. M.
