Foundational Fundamentals For Successful Living

Myron Golden argues the Bible's first five books encode a repeating success pattern: intention, disruption, inspiration, illumination. He maps Genesis through Deuteronomy to practical steps like start, separate, measure, and restart, backed by stories from his sales career and specific dollar figures.

Principles that can make everything in your life better. I have, I found some foundational principles that make every. They can make your. They can make your work better, they can make your home life better. They can make your friendships better. They can make your finances better, they can make your health better. There are some foundational principles that I found. But I discovered something day before yesterday that I've never seen before. And it blew my mind. And I'm going to share that with you today.
I believe that the Bible is the ultimate success book. And I've often, not so jokingly said that. There are so many success principles in Genesis chapter one. It's almost like God gave us a wink and said, if you don't get to chapter two, I want you to be okay.
But I saw something day before yesterday that I've never seen before. But first, let me show you some of those success principles in Genesis chapter one that I'm talking about that are so mind blowing that this, like before God even gets, before we even get started good, he's like, he lays it out, okay? It says in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form and void and darkness upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. That's the first two verses, right? So.
The last verse in Genesis chapter one is, and God saw everything that he had made. And behold, it was very good in the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Now what's interesting about that is everything, all the stuff, all the resources, all of the resources that would ever become resources. Everything that was made was made in six days. Myron, do you believe that six literal days? Absolutely, positively. I believe it was six literal days. I believe it was six literal days because he repeated over and over and the evening and the morning, day one in English it says, we're the first day and the evening and the morning day two, and the evening and the morning day three. Like there are. We understand that the word day can have multiple meanings, right? It can have, it can mean like, oh, today is your day, right? When we're not talking about the day, right? Or I say back in my day, right? Which is like the 60s and 70s, right? Back in my day. Or some of you would say, back in the olden days, don't you say that to me. Okay, so we know that day can have more than one meaning. But in scripture, the word day can have more than one meaning. Because the Bible talks about the day of the Lord, right? But in Genesis 1, 1 it says evening and morning day one. It counted one evening, one morning, day one, one evening, one morning, day two. By the way, the day started in the evening. It didn't start in the morning. Does anybody ever wonder why the day started in the evening and not in the morning? Did anybody else ever wonder, like, why does it say evening and morning? Well, here's why. Because in God's economy, things always go from darkness to light. They always go from worse to better. They always go from out, like.
From nothingness to somethingness. So in God's economy, things always get progressively better. That's why. Okay, so.
There'S never been a more productive week in world history.
Than the six days that God created everything out of nothing and rested on the seventh day. That's a level of productivity none of us experienced yet. But I love the fact that when God made everything out of nothing, he didn't just make everything out of nothing in six days and then rest on the seventh day. He goes back. Because he could have just said in the beginning, God created the heaven and earth in six days and rested on the seventh day. And that would have been the whole chapter. But he takes 31 verses to describe the first six days. Why? I believe the reason is because God created three categories in creation. He created creation. The sun, the moon, and the stars.
Stuff the grass, right? He created dirt, right? He created water. He created creation. He created creatures.
Dogs and cats, giraffes and alligators. And he actually delegated the land animals to the earth to bring forth, but he still created it. He designated the water to bring forth the fish and the fowl, but he still created them. But when God made man, he didn't say, let there be man, like he said, let there be light. He didn't say, let the earth bring forth man like he said about the animals. Let the earth bring forth the cattle and the creeping thing. He didn't say, let the waters bring forth man like he did with the birds and the fish. He said, let us make man in our image and after our likeness. And I believe the reason he goes into so much detail in Genesis chapter one about how he created what he create is because he made us in his image, which means the first thing he tells us about him is that he's creative. The first thing he's telling about us is he made us creative. So he created us to create stuff, and he made us to make stuff. And so he didn't want to just tell us, okay, I make stuff. I made you in my image. So go make Stuff. He gave us a pattern for how he makes stuff. Are y' all tracking? Okay, so here's what it says. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. So what is that? That's intention. It started with intention. The intention to create. Right. Anything we're gonna do, it starts with intention. Like, I'm leaving for Atlanta. I have to intend to leave for Atlanta. If I don't ever intend to leave for Atlanta, I'm never gonna go. Right? I have to. Like, when I'm done working, at the end of a day, I usually intend to go home. If I don't intend to go home, I'm not gonna end up at home. Right. It starts out with an intention that's based on a decision that's based on a desire and a desirable outcome. That's where it all starts. Right? So, okay, so people say, why did God create the heaven and the Earth? I don't know. Because he's creative, and therefore it is his nature to create. That's the best answer I've been able to come up with as an expression of his creativity. Because he could. All of those are the reasons.
Okay. And the Earth was without form and void and darkness upon the face of the deep. The word was there is an amazing word. It's not the word used to be.
It's the word became. When it says and the Earth was, it means the earth became without form and void and darkness upon the face of the deep. How did the Earth become without form and void and darkness upon the face of the deep? I don't know. There are some scholars who believe that that happened when God threw Lucifer to the earth out of heaven, when he tried to rise above God's throne. And so because he couldn't destroy heaven, he attempted to destroy the next best thing, which was Earth. I don't know that that's the case, but that could be. Right. But what? Something happened. And the Earth became without form and void and darts upon the face of the deep. And since the scripture does tell us that the thief cometh not, but for to steal, to kill and destroy, maybe because he couldn't steal God's throne and he couldn't kill God, the only thing he had left was to destroy God's earth. Maybe. Right? I'm not saying that's what happened, but it's a potentiality. Okay, so what do we find in that? We find that disruption always follows intention. This is a pattern. See, the Bible's not a book about religion. By religion, I mean.
I'm gonna give you the definition of religion that I see that I've concluded based on what the Bible talks about, and that is.
Man becomes God and then decides how to appease God. That's what religions do. So man replaces God's design on how to appease God. That's what religions do. Okay? And so it doesn't matter what religion it is. You can put any name on it. Doesn't matter. They all do the same thing. Now what? And by the way, Satan started the first religion is in Genesis, chapter three, when he said, when you disobey God, then you will be as God. Then you will know or discern or decide for yourself what is good and what is evil. That was the first introduction to religion in the Bible, which was hedonism or humanism. Man becomes God. Every other religion since then is a derivative of that religion.
Trusting in Christ is not a religion. Christ is not a religious figure. Hear me when I say that he did not purport himself to be a religious figure. What did he purport himself to be? A king. A king is a governmental figure. Go read Genesis. I mean, go read Matthew, chapter one. Go read Mark. Go read. Jesus went about preaching the Gospel. Of what? The kingdom. Why? Because kingdom is what God made man for. God made man to expand his heavenly kingdom on earth. And man yielded to a fake king and lost the rights to his birthright or to his created right of kingship on the earth. And he handed the keys and the deed to Satan. And Satan became the God of this world. Little G. But God intended for man to rule over the earth, not for Satan. Anyway, I got a little sidetracked, but it was a good side and a good track.
And so we see that disruption always follows intention. And we know. See now. Now we can understand what's going on when we see the pattern. So the Bible's not a book about religion. The Bible is a book of principles. The Bible's a book of promises. Bible's a book of patterns, practices, precepts, prayers, prophecies that give us the ability to make predictions about outcomes in the future so that we can position ourselves in the path of prosperity. What do I mean when I say prosperity? Flow, like God's will is flowing. And so it gives us the ability to make predictions about outcomes in the future. So I can position myself in the path of prosperity. If God's word says. Says that a soft answer turneth away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger, then I can use soft words and place myself in the path of prospering. In my relationships, by using a soft answer instead of a hard answer. Are y'. All. Is what I'm saying making sense? Right. Okay. And so. So if. If in my business, if the scripture says, look, every man also. Look not every man on his own things, but look every man also on the things of others. If I want to have better relationships, all I have to do is seek to serve others more than I seek to have others serve myself. And now I'm in the path of that prosperity.
A false balance is an abomination unto the Lord, but a just weight is his delight. So when I go out in the marketplace in business and I tell people that I'm going to give you this value for this amount of money, as long as I'm giving them equivalue for the money that they're paying me, then I place myself in the path of financial prosperity. Like, none of this stuff is confusing. It's really basic, simple third grade, fifth grade concepts that all of us can understand. But we like to complicate things because it makes us feel smarter. And then it says, disruption follows intention. So that's a pattern. What I mean, so we start out with our intention. So this is the one that comes to mind first for me when we intend to get in shape after we've gotten out of shape. And here's what I've discovered. It's way easier to stay in shape than it is to get in shape. After you got out of shape. Can I get a witness, one of my people? Ooh. I remember, like, I got to the place in my life, I was 225 pounds of out of breathness.
Y' all laughing. I wasn't laughing. I was scared. I'm like, this ain't good, bro. No, you know it's bad when you go to the golf cart course and you're riding in the golf cart and you get out of the golf cart, you walk up to the tee box, you take three practice swings, and you can harden. You're out of breath. Not good. Not good. I said, I'm going to get in shape. And guess what? When I decided to get in shape and I started working out, I did not feel stronger first. I felt weaker first. Why? Because it's how life works. Disruption always follows intention. When I started a business, my money didn't go up first. My money went down first. Why? Because disruption always follows intention. I got started in sales in October of 1985, and I did presentation after presentation after presentation after presentation after presentation. I don't know, Jeff. Maybe Y' all thought I was crazy. Like, what's this dude doing? Or maybe you didn't think I was crazy. Yeah, yeah, we were. We were.
But I was spending money to learn how to make money, and I wasn't making any money for a year and a half. And I was going to conferences and I was going to seminars to become a better version of myself. I didn't know that's why I was doing it then. I thought I was going to find an answer. I thought I was going to find the thing, but the thing was me becoming the person.
And so finally, after a year and a half, I made my first sale. I got my first commission check. I opened it up, it was $125.66. And I'm like, yes, we are going to be rich.
And some people say, myron, that's dumb. You worked for 18 months for $125.66. No, I worked for 18 months to become a person who could go from a person who can't sell to a person who can sell.
And I was willing to go through the no's so I could get to the yeses.
And I wasn't crushed by the nos because fortunately, I bought a book on how to master the art of selling anything. And one of the chapters in that book was called, if you're gonna get good at sales, you must learn to love no.
Well, I fell in love with no. This guy who's the king of sales wrote a book on it, so he must know what he's talking about. Okay, that was a joke. But he knew what he was talking about. He said, you gotta love. You gotta love no. And I said, I'm gonna love no. I'm gonna get more no's than anybody. I'm gonna make getting no's an art form.
And eventually somebody said yes. I was like, what'd you say?
Why? Disruption always follows intention. So my intention was to get rich. My disruption was a year and a half of no sales.
The.
Ridiculously, it doesn't even make sense. Like when I say this, to me, it doesn't even make sense. The hundreds of thousands of dollars a week in revenue our business generates now would not be a reality had I not gone through, lasted through the learning curve of no, no, no, no, no, no, no. For 18 months.
Your microwave and drive thru restaurants and drive through banking are not an indication that life is easy.
There is no microwave success. There's no drive through success.
There's like climb the mountain success.
What's. What an indication of the microwave.
That somebody else worked really hard on something that didn't make any sense for a very long time. So you could have convenience.
So we see disruption follows intention. But guess what it says. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Inspiration follows the disruption that follows our intention. So if we can find a source of inspiration when disruption follows our intention, guess what we get to do? We get to keep on going. I love the fact that it says, the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Anyway, different story, different day. I was going to tell you about cold plunging, but I don't have time.
And then it says, and God said, let there be light. What's that? Illumination. So we see intention, disruption, inspiration and illumination. What's illumination? It's when I learn something that I didn't know so I can do something I couldn't do and go somewhere I couldn't go.
Illumination is learning. I now have the ability to see things in my understanding that I could not see before. Okay, yeah. So by the way, this goes all the way through the first chapter of Genesis. I'm not going to keep on going because I could show you segmentation to completion and I could show you delegation and I can show you automation. Like all of that stuff is in Genesis, chapter one. I don't have time to go there right now because that's not what I. That was just introduction. All of that stuff I just said was all introduction to get to the point. And here's the point. The Bible is fundamentally foundational when it comes to success. It is a success book. Everything that God created, he created to succeed. He created the sun to shine, it shines. He created the wind to blow, it blows. He created the water to flow, it flows. Everything that God created, he created it to succeed. He created birds to fly and fish to swim. It all happens. He created man to dominate. We are the only things that. That God created that don't fulfill our potential. Why? Because we have a choice.
And most of us choose not to become.
And we choose not to become. We choose not to be able to do. And so here's the thing. I found out the first five books in the Bible.
Are fundamental success principles in just their names.
I'm like, how could I miss this my whole life? Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. What? I got chills just now when I. I know you're probably thinking you named the books of the first books of the Bible and got chills. I did like the hair standing up on my arm right now you say how? Okay, here's why. Genesis, you're going to do something. How many are going to do something with your life? Say yes. Okay, you're going to do something with your life. You must have a start. Genesis, that's what genesis is. It's the beginning. Genesis is the beginning of a thing. You must have a start. So if you're going to succeed, you have to start. If you don't start, you're not going to succeed. And I love what Les Brown said. Les Brown said it's the start that stops most people.
Can I get a witness? We look at it, we evaluate it, we analyze it, we look at ourselves, we say nah. And we go back to doing what we were doing.
You have to get started.
You can't arrive if you don't start. And so then the question becomes what? So you must have a start. That's the first principle. Genesis, you must have a start. Okay, how do you start? That's the question, right? Like, how do you start? Well.
You must decide to start. Starting begins with a decision. And most people have very weak decision making muscles.
They have great choosing muscles, terrible decision making muscles. And most people think decision and choice are the same thing. To decide, to choose the same thing. They're not. Choose means pick. 1. Decide comes from the Latin root degree and the Latin root side, which means de means of or. From side means to cut. So when you decide, you cut yourself off from any other possibility. So when you decide to start, you will start.
Like, I didn't choose to start a business, I decided to start one. It didn't matter if it wasn't making money, I decided. I don't always make decision the right decision, but when I make a decision, I make the decision right. Why? Because I'm not going to quit. Because I have a brain. I learned that from my dad when I was in elementary school. We have a brain that doesn't have a brain. It can't win. And I decided I'm gonna start a business and I'm not gonna be good at first. Well, I didn't know I was gonna be good at first. I thought I was gonna come out of the gates like, like I thought. I thought y' all ain't seen nothing. Y' all think y' all saw something. Y' all ain't seen nothing yet. I thought when I came, man, welcome to the business, welcome to the business world. And business world, welcome to Myron.
But I was so wrong. I had no idea how much I did not know. I was so clueless. I was so clueless. I remember when I did my first seminar, my very first seminar in 2003, after I decided, I'm gonna start a training company. I'm gonna train people in multi level marketing, because that's what I know. And so my friend owned a multi level marketing company. He invited me to come train his people, paid me a lot of money to do it. So I'm good. Like, he paid me for it. And then he was gonna let me sell my training materials to his people. Then another friend of mine convinced me, against my, like, worst judgment. Thank you for convincing me. He said, man, you need to let Jerry Clark come speak at the seminar, too. He's right down the road. Like, why would I have Jerry come speak at my seminar? Because I had a very poverty programming, poverty consciousness. I'm just telling you, why would I have him come speak at my event?
But I let him talk me into it, and I didn't want to let him talk me into it, but he was a good friend, and he talked me into doing something that was in my best interest. So I let Jerry come speak. I spoke. I spoke first. I made my offer. There were 35 people there. I did $350 in sales. $350 total with 35 people in the room. Jerry speaks, he does his whole thing, and he does his Jerry laugh, and he does this whole thing.
And then he does $3,500 in sales.
I'm like, what just happened?
So Jerry says, you're flying out of Dallas, aren't you? You leaving tomorrow? Yeah, I'm leaving tomorrow. He said, get here early, man. I'll show you some things about the speaking business. I'm like, okay.
So we went to lunch, and we're there for two, maybe three hours. Jerry's just breaking the whole thing down. Like, this is amazing. Like, I didn't know how much I didn't know. I thought, like most people who want to be speakers, I thought because I could speak, that that meant something in the speaking business. Here's what it means in the speaking business. You're a good speaker. Means nothing.
I mean, it helps. It helps. It's not the most important thing. It's not the determining factor. There are a lot of people who are great speakers who are broke because they don't understand the business of speaking. Well, Jerry broke down the business of speaking. I'm like, this is amazing. The very next event that I had, Jerry and I were both speaking.
And Jerry told me this story about this guy who was speaking at an Amway conference. And he told me, he told the guy what to do. He said, if you do this, this, this, and he said, myron, this, even a good speaker. I just told him, if you do this, this, this, this and this. He said, when you stand up, you'll do $70,000 in sales. He was going to speak to 700 people. He said, you'll do $70,000 in Sales. I'm like, and I helped him with his order form. And I remembered that he said, I helped him with his order form. I'm like, what does that even mean? I helped him with his order form? Anyway, so we're both in Alabama. I'm getting ready to speak the next morning. Or I thought I was speaking the next morning. It didn't happen until the day after that. So I got to Alabama, to Birmingham, Alabama. I called Jerry on the phone. Hey, Jerry, I just got here. Remember that guy you were telling me about, his order form? Hey, I got my order forms. Can you look at him and tell me what, like, you think about him?
It's 11 o' clock at night. I'm in his room, me and him and Anthony and Anthony Johnson. And he, he looks at my order form. He's like, yeah, I wouldn't do it that way. I said, well, how would you do it?
So I would do this, this, this, this and this. Make that adjustment over here, put that over there, and then do this. And then when you stand up and present it, do this, this, this, this and this. I took all 600 order forms I had. I threw them in the trash. I went to Kinko's when it was still Kinko's. I got on my computer, designed a new one, went to Kinko's, got all new order forms. Because I was supposed to speak to the whole crowd on Saturday morning. But they kept pushing me back. Oh, you can't speak yet? Not yet, not yet. So they pushed me all the way back until Sunday morning. I was the next to the last speaker on the last day. Like most of the people had already gone home. I'm speaking to about 135 people, but I remember what Jerry told me. And I did all the stuff Jerry told me, even though I thought it was crazy. And like, I called all my family members, pray for me. I'm getting ready to go speak. Most of the people are gone. I used all of my money to come down here. I mean, I was. It was not good. Right? Right. And like, I'm like, I'm hoping this is gonna work. And. And so I Got up. I did what Jerry told me. I got down. I told him the price. There was a lady on the front row. She jumped up, she said, what? What? And she ran to the back, paid with her credit card, and a bunch of people started following her. It was all I could do to keep from breaking out into hysterical laughter. What just happened? Like, what just happened? And when the dust settled in 45 minutes, I did $5,900 in sales. And my world changed. I mean, my whole. My whole existence on planet Earth changed.
But I lasted through the learning curve. I decided. You have to decide. I decide. I'm gonna be a business owner, right? And then you must discipline yourself to start. So you have to decide. You have to decide to start, but then you have to discipline yourself to start. Why do you have to discipline yourself once you start? Because disruption always follows intention. And if you don't have discipline, the first sign of trouble, you're going to capitulate and you're going to retreat to the circle of sameness. And that's what most people do. It's hard. So I'm going to go back to doing what I was doing because it's easy for who I am now, even though it's not working for what I desire. Then.
How many are tracking? And so what we got to do is we got to decide to start. And then we must discipline ourselves once we start. Why? Because disruption always follows intention and then. Or discipline ourselves. That's the implementation. And then you must be determined once you start. Because disruption always follows intention. So I have to discipline myself to start. That's implementation. Like get a great idea. But a great idea without implementation is nothing. And a great idea with implementation for 15 minutes is nothing. And a great idea with implementation, as long as it's easy, is nothing.
The first book in the Bible, Genesis. What does God tell us? Go get started. I started. How did we all get here? God started. We're made in the image of God. Go get started. Isn't that mind blowing? But not just you must have a start. You must have separation. Exodus. What does Exodus mean? Departure. You got to leave.
Isn't it amazing how God calls people away from before he calls them too.
I said that too fast.
This Exodus, you must have separation. You are summoned. God called the children of Israel out of Egypt. God called Abram out of Tehran. He said, get out of your country. Leave your family. Leave your father's house behind.
Go to a land that I will show you. Here's our problem. We don't want to leave until we know where we're going. We already have our house in place. We already have our job set up. We ain't leaving. I ain't leaving where I know until I know where I'm going. God said it's time to go.
Here's what's interesting. Like when we have internal resistance to leaving our past beingness behind, it causes an 11 day journey to take 40 years.
It was 11 days from Egypt to Canaan land. 11 days.
And they said.
Nah.
I think we'd have been better off if we'd have died in Egypt. Why don't we go back? Go back? We're going to go back to collecting straw and making bricks so we can build the kingdom that enslaves us.
That's your best plan?
No. He said you must separate. Oh, what does it tell us in Proverbs? A man having what separated himself, seeketh and intermeddeth with what all wisdom. You know what your problem is? Your problem is you want to go along to get along. Sign the banana. Be one of the bunches.
You don't want to stand by yourself on your own even when you know you're right. Because you can't take it when people don't agree with you. You will flounder your entire life until you get spine enough to stand by yourself in your purpose if nobody goes with you.
He said, you've been summoned.
They got called out of Egypt. But they weren't just summoned, they were sent. Do you realize you've been summoned like God made you, for a purpose? God made me for a purpose. Can you imagine? I don't know. I don't want to go into debt and buy a building.
This equipment is so expensive.
I know it might help some people, but what if it doesn't work? What if.
But am I telling the truth? Isn't this what we do to ourselves? And God gave. He gave us the first five books. He said, just look at the names of the books. Y' all.
Get started and then separate yourself.
Isn't that what a winner is? Isn't that what somebody who wins is? Somebody who separates themselves from everybody else?
Right?
You've been summoned. You've been sent. And when you leave the land of bondage and you're headed towards the promised land, you must be seeking to serve. You want greatness in your life? Serve more people.
Serve more people at a higher level. You want to be really great? Stop seeking to be served at every turn and seek to serve at every turn. Ask yourself, how can I get better at providing value to the people around me.
It's mind blowing. And I get it.
I have relatively high standards for like when I'm paying for something. Like, I expect to get what I pay for. Like, don't pretend you're doing me a favor if I'm paying you right. So if I go to a restaurant, I expect you to serve me with a smile. I'm gonna. Like, I'm paying you with a smile. I'm gonna give you a tip with a smile. And if you're just kind and relatively prompt, it's gonna be a really good tip.
Like, seek to serve, your life will get better. You know what? Like, having a genuine desire to serve is not funk you can fake.
Do you really care about making other people's lives better if you don't serve anything but some encouragement, anything but a smile, anything but a prayer, anything but a pat on the shoulder.
We can all serve better anyway. Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus. You must have statutes. What are statutes? They're laws. They're principles. They govern everything. You can't have a world without statutes. You can't have order without statutes. You can't have freedom without statutes. It's all like Leviticus. What's that? The giving of the law. He gave us the law.
Like Leviticus is so boring. You know why it's boring? Because you're not interested in the statutes. You're not interested in what God is saying and what he has said. Leviticus is fascinating.
One of the things Leviticus shows us is that God cares about the details.
All this modern day churchianity stuff.
Where God just wants you so bad he'll take you any old way. There's a little caveat. Here's what it's called. Repentance. Let's don't forget that part. Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Let's don't forget that part. What does repent mean? Well, the word repent is actually the Greek word metaneos, which means to change your mind. Man is basically good, you better repent. As it is written, there's none righteous. No, not one. There's not a just man upon the earth that doeth good and sinneth not, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Man is basically good. Repent or suffer the consequences. You don't have to repent from me. I'm not even trying to talk you into repentance. I'm just telling you, you believing that man is basically good will only do you good until it stops.
And it will stop. You will one day realize, hopefully before it's too late.
What does repent mean? Repent means you let go of all of your religious doingness. I'm going to do this and appease God. I'm going to do that and appease God. I'm going to do this. God is not appeased by you. He's not appeased by me. He's not appeased by any man. God is only appeased by God. God sent his son, Yeshua Hamashiach Jesus the Christ to die on the cross for our sins. We either trust in that or we suffer the consequences of not trusting in that.
Like you can make up your own thing. Well, you get to God your way and I'll get to God mine. Well, I'm gonna let you attempt to get to God your way because I ain't gonna try to get to God my way because my way don't work. I'm not confused about it. See, the arrogance of that statement is like it's maybe the greatest arrogance and pompousness that's ever existed on planet Earth, for instance.
Hiram, we're friends. Wouldn't you consider me a friend? I consider you a friend. We're friends. Right? If I came to your house today and I knocked on the door.
You opened the door, you saw it was me, what would you say? Probably, come in, come in. I knocked on the door at two o'clock in the afternoon. He said, come in.
Change the scenario. Same guy, same house, his house, same dude. Me. Let's say you catch me climbing in your kitchen window at 2 o' clock in the morning. Do I get the same greeting? No, the greeting sounds like this. Pat, pat, pat, pat, pat.
91 1.
Am I telling the truth? See.
As human beings, we have acceptable ways for people to come into our home and unacceptable ways. But we expect the God of the universe to let every human on earth just get to him any way they want to. You are delusional at a level that cannot be measured.
And arrogance beyond imagination.
You must have statutes, and if there are statutes, there must be a source of the statutes. Fascinating. People love to talk about evolution. Evolution evolved, this evolved, that evolved, this evolved, that evolved, nothing evolved. God created it. Let's start with the fact that that.
The Origin of Species guy, what's his name? Darwin. Charles Darwin was not a scientist. Let's start with that. He was a racist pseudo philosopher. He was not a scientist. Google it for yourself. Do not take my word for it. His book is called the Origin of Species or the other title. It wasn't even a subtitle. It was just the other title.
The Struggle of Favored Races in the Preservation of Life.
It was a book that Hitler studied. Hitler. We act like. Somebody tell me why he's not canceled. Darwin. Favored Races. Anyway, I don't have time to go into it, but there has to be a source of the statues. Evolution was nothing more than an attempt to. To eliminate God from man's consciousness.
Had nothing to do with science. Never been a shred of evolutionary evidence of anything. That one thing turned into another thing.
Say, well, but there's adaptation. Well, I adapt. If I eat less, I get smaller. If I eat more and work out, or if I work out, I get stronger. If I practice playing the guitar, I get better. Humans adapt, animals adapt. But adaptation is not the same as evolution. A fish has never turned into a bird, and a bird has never turned into a fish. And a dog has never turned into a. Into a cat, and a cat's never turned into a dog. And an ape has never turned into a human, ever. It can't be, Doc. Like, science. When I was in elementary school, they told me before they got it all wacky, right? Science means it's observable, it's repeatable, it's predictable. That makes it science.
Evolution is none of those things. But we act like it's science. We. Oh, wait, we've evolved. To evolve to anything.
There must be a source of the statutes. There's somebody who created the laws. If there is a law. If somebody. If somebody put together this iPhone, they had to put it together with certain components in a certain order in order for this to do what he designed, the designer designed it to do this universe for just the idea that human beings breathe in oxygen and put off carbon dioxide and plants bring in carbon dioxide and put off oxygen. That just happened. That just happened. That's like saying, like, there was an explosion in the parts department at Ford Motors and all these F150s landed in the parking lot.
The big bang. It's so insane.
It's a level of insanity. But, like. And people can say it with a straight face. Oh, but the big Bang, really? And you can say that with a straight face.
Like, with people watching and you have no embarrassment.
Show me anywhere in human history where order came out of disorder.
Show me one place in human history where order came out of an explosion. I think an explosion is the exact opposite of order. It's a level of disorder on a magnitude. Okay, so you have to have a source of the statutes, and then there must be speaking of the statutes. You have to speak the statutes. And I think one of the biggest problems we have in our world today is that we don't talk about God and we don't talk about the word of God. And we're ashamed to speak about it because we're afraid of what people might be offended. Like, I have no intention to offend anybody. That's not my intention. But if you're offended because I'm me and I'm talking about the stuff I talk about, either close your ears or go into a different space. Right. Don't silence me because you don't like the sound of my words. That doesn't make any sense.
I said this before. There was a time in America where people would apologize for using profanity in front of women and children and talk about their faith and talk about God boldly. And now we use profanity boldly in front of women and children and we apologize for talking about God mentioning the name of Jesus. I'm not playing in that success pool ever. I don't care what platform I'm on. I'm not trying to. I like. I'm not trying to make any doors open for me. I won't have you speak. Good. Because I didn't want to speak for you anyway. So now we. We even like. I ain't looking for nothing. Nothing's missing in my life, baby.
We have to speak about the word of God. What did. What did Moses say before the children of Israel went into the Promised land? These words which I command these days shall be in thine heart. Thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children. Thou shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, when thou risest up. Thou shalt bind them as a sign upon thine hand. They shall be as frontlets between thine eyes, and thou shalt write them upon thy post, thy house, and on thy gates. That's a whole lot of talking about the Word. What's missing in our society is we don't talk about God and God's Word and God's principles and God's statutes. Enough.
And so it's easier for people to forget about God because nobody's speaking about Him. Like, I ain't even trying to get you to believe in God. Believe him or don't believe in Him. But I ain't gonna stop talking about him just because you don't like him.
So when you speak to. There must be speaking of the statutes. There Must be a submission to the statutes. It's not enough for the statutes to have a source and for us to talk about it. We gotta walk about it. And see, here's the problem I have with modern day churchianity. It sounds so beautiful.
When we're singing about it, when we're preaching about it, when we're proclaiming about it. And then when we go about our daily activities, we act like it doesn't exist.
We don't apply it to the things that we're doing. Do you apply be kind one to another. When you're talking to your wife, when you're talking to your husband, when you're talking to your children, when you're talking to your family, when you're talking to your family members, when you're talking to your employer, when you're talking to your employees, do you apply, apply be kind one to another? Do you apply tenderhearted, forgiving one another even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you? Do you apply that to your life?
Do you apply. Fathers, provoke not your children to wrath, but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Do you apply that to your actual relationship with your children? Wives, submit to your own husbands. Do you apply that to your life? I know we don't like that today. Oh, he said submit. Oh, my goodness. The S word.
The Bible says just means to place yourself under. It's not because women are less than men. They just have a different role.
Why is it good for a wife to submit to her husband? For the same reason it's not good to put transmission fluid in your gas tank. That's not what it's for.
Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church. Do you do that.
Like the Bible is clear.
And we love talking about it. Rejoice in the Lord always. We talked about that earlier. Rejoice in the Lord always. And again, I say rejoice, like live in a state of perpetual joyfulness. Do you do that? Are you doing that?
Or did you happen to just put your makeup on upside down one day?
Had a college professor, he said, some of you people have faces so long you could throw it out the window and use it for a fire escape.
There must be submission to the statutes. And then what's the next one? Numbers. Isn't this amazing? How this applies to business, how this applies to life. Numbers. Okay, so after you have statutes, you must have stats. Why you have to have stats. You can measure. How am I doing now that I've gotten started? How far have I Come.
Now that I've separated myself, how much closer am I? Now that I'm applying the statutes, how much better is my life? Get, like, statistics, numbers. Give us something to measure. And that would like. You start a business. Like, it's amazing. I talk to business owners, I'm like, okay, how many leads did you generate last month? I don't know. Okay, how many core product sales did you make?
What's the core product sale?
How many premium? What's the conversion rate on your premium value offers? People don't know. If you don't know your numbers, you can't improve.
So numbers give us the ability to measure.
Isn't that amazing? It's the name of the book, Numbers. Jim Rohn used to say. Jim Rohn used to say. He said, when you talk to your salespeople, you say, how many presentations did you do? Well, what had happened was Jerome said, time out. Time out. He said, the reason we make the space so small is so a story won't fit. We need a number. We need a number. How many. How many?
You gotta measure, you gotta have. What are you. Like, you're guesstimating in your head and you think you know something and you're guessing. You gotta have some numbers.
Because numbers give. Stats give us the ability to measure. Stats give us the ability to monitor. So I'm measuring, but also I can see when I'm falling down, like, one of the things I do. It's like every day. Every day, I look at my bank accounts to see how much money came in every day. I'm a business owner, so I know some of you are going to judge me. Oh, he cares about the money. Okay. Thank you for sharing.
I look at my website stats like, how many dollars in sales did we do yesterday? How many did we do the day before? How many do we do today? How many did we do this week? How many dollars in sales did we do this month? Why? Because that's what all the people who I have bills with do. They are tracking to see how much I owe them. If I ain't tracking to see how much I'm making, I'm gonna end up on the wrong side of that equation.
Okay, make sure you understand that these numbers have a reason. See, they give us the ability to measure, but they also give us the ability to monitor. And so some people don't like looking at their numbers because they don't like what they see. But you can't improve your numbers until you start monitoring them.
So you use the numbers to measure. You use the numbers to monitor, and then you use the numbers to manage. And now, because you know your numbers, you can manage the aspects of your business that you're meant that you're managing with your numbers. This is.
Like, I've been reading the Bible. I'm like, for. And I'm like, it's in the names of the books. This is crazy. God said, I got you, but you got to pay attention. And then we get Deuteronomy. Deuteronomy. What does that mean? The second Giving of the law. Deuteronomy, the second. So God gives the law a second time. Oh, so we need a second start. Why? Because most of the time when you. Especially when you first get started and you go look at the numbers, they don't add up.
Oh, my goodness. Right? You check your numbers the first time, you're horrified. Like.
I think about how many millionaires I've heard talk about the fact that they made all this money and then they lost it all.
How many of y' all heard that? Right? Like, I know it happened to me.
So. But one of the reasons it happened to me is because I thought it couldn't happen to me.
But now, even though I'm way richer than I was the first time, I know it can happen to me. And so guess what? I do everything in my power to keep it from happening to me.
Because there is not a book called the Third Giving of the Law.
Okay? Just want to make sure we got Deuteronomy. We don't got trinomity. Tritoniromity. No, we ain't got that. Okay. So the second start is a reminder of the principles. So right before the children of Israel went into the promised land, God gave them the law when they came out of Egypt, but he gave them the law again right before they went into the promised land. Ain't it good, though?
It's a reminder of the principles. What's the purpose of the reminder of the principles? So you don't think that you're doing so good? Because you are so good.
Be careful. Be we be wary of the one who reads his own press.
Don't you believe you are who everybody tells you you are? Whether they're telling you you're awesome or whether they're telling you you're awful, they're probably off.
A second start is a reminder of the principles. Like, get back to the basics.
Go back and do the first things, and then it's not only a reminder of the principles, but it's a reassurance of potential. God gives the law again. Even though they've been in the wilderness for 40 years, even though they're not in the promised land, not only have they been in the wilderness for 40 years, they've been out of bondage for 40 years. But they still have an entering to the promised land. What is God showing us? The potential. I'm giving you the law again to let you know you're still alive and to understand that unto him that is joined to all living, there is hope. And a living dog is better than a dead lion.
The second giving of the law is a reminder of your potential. I get it. You messed up. Get what?
Who hasn't?
God's given you the law again because he's given you a chance to fix it again. Go fix it this time.
Okay.
And the second start is a resource of power.
Because it ain't over until it's over. And you don't get to decide when it's over, and I don't get to decide when it's over. Only God decides when it's over. And if you're still here, if you are still here. How many y'? All still here? Okay, good. So if you're still here, there's still hope.
God made you to win.
He gave you a command to win. He created you to win. He gave you a command to win. He gave you the capacity to win.
Now it's your turn.
Genesis must have start. Exodus, you must separate yourself.
Leviticus, you must have statutes, numbers, you must have stats. Deuteronomy, you must have a second start. For some of you, you are in your second start. And you're like, but it's not working yet. Are you still living? Everybody take your pulse. You still living. Congratulations. It ain't over. And I'm gonna tell you something. A lot of times we feel like it's over and we're just in the beginning of the middle. Take my word for it, I was there. I was in the beginning of the middle and it felt like the end, but it wasn't the end. And I didn't go jump out of a window. And if I would have, it would have been a first floor window. Because if it had been a second floor window, I might have hurt myself.
But the reality is there's so much more potential, hope and opportunity in you and for you. Then, you know, just follow God's plan. I promise you it'll take you places you cannot yet imagine. Thanks for watching. Stay blessed by the best. We'll see you in the next video.
Amazing.
