How To Make The Rest Of Your Life The Best Of Your Life

Myron Golden breaks down three gifts from Genesis 1: the platform you're given, the parameters that guide action, and the creative process from imagination to manifestation. He shows how applying these principles increases productivity and prosperity in your personal and work life.
Chapters
As this year is coming to a close, and we're about to embark on a brand new season in 2015. And tonight, I want to share with you some principles from the word of God that can help you make the rest of your life the best of your life. In fact, that's what I want to talk to you about tonight. How to make the rest of your life the best of your life. How many of you want the rest of your life to be the best of your life? Say amen.
Oh, yeah.
Amen. And I'm going to show you. I'm going to show you from the word of God that God has given us some practical principles that we can apply. See, a lot of Christians, and I'm going to let y' all sit down in a minute. But a lot of Christians believe that the Bible is just a book that's about religion for us to get excited about one day a week. The Bible is not a book of mystery to confuse us. It's a practical book of application to be applied every day. And the blessing is in the word. Everybody say that. The blessing is in the word. And the more word I get in me, the more blessing I get in me. Amen. And so we're gonna put some word in you tonight. And it's going, if you take this word with you, I promise you, I promise you, your life will never be the same. Somebody say hallelujah. All right, we're gonna read five verses. We're gonna read five verses, pray, and then you can be seated. You can be seated. Now. Go ahead and be seated. Genesis, chapter one. Genesis, chapter one. And if y' all were somebody, remind me when we get done, I've got a free gift for everybody that I'm going to give everybody. One of my videos. I do as Pastor said, I do a lot of marketplace ministry, and I do business consulting. And I teach business owners how to grow their business using biblical principles. And we're not talking about growing them to a little bitty business. We're talking about. We're talking about eight figure businesses. And we show them how to do that from biblical principles. It's really an amazing concept. But I have a biblical lesson called how to have a financial turnaround. And it's based on second Kings, chapter four, and it will change your life. I'm going to give that to everybody here tonight. Okay. If somebody will remind me at the end. Amen. Okay. All right. Praise the Lord. So Genesis, chapter one, the first five verses, it says, in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form and void. And darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, let there be light. And there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good. And God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light day, and the darkness he called night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Let's pray. Father, thank you for the truth and the power of your word. I pray that you would inspire all of us to want to fill up our lives more with the power that you have put in this book, open our eyes that we might behold wonderful things out of your word, not just so that we might know them, but so that we might do them and receive the blessing that you have already ordained for us. And I pray blessings on the lives of everyone here under the sound of my voice, under the hearing of your word, that you would bless their lives as they go home and apply it in Jesus name. Amen. You know, Genesis chapter one has a whole bunch of stuff in it. In fact, I could probably preach for the next year just in Genesis chapter one, and it would really blow your mind how much God put in Genesis chapter one for us. And I'm going to give you the entire outline first. Then we're going to go back and we're going to look at it slowly. How do I make the rest of my life the best of my life? How do I go out and produce more in 2015 than I produced in 2014? How do I go out and make my life better, my wife's life better, my husband's life, my children's life, my friends, my church, my business, my job? How do I go out and make every aspect of my life better? I believe we're going to find that in Genesis chapter one. And here's what it is. God established in Genesis chapter one, three things to make our lives better. How many things? Talk to me, everybody. How many things? Three. Three things. Y' all gonna have to talk to me so I can get done before midnight. Okay? Three things. Three things. The first one is he established the platform. He established what? The platform. He established what the platform. The second thing that he established was. He established the parameters. He established what? The parameters. And the third thing he established was the process. Was the what? The process and the platform and the parameters and the process are all designed to make your life better and my life better, which I'm going to show you here in Genesis chapter one. Now, the first thing we see is God established the platform. It says in Genesis, chapter one, verse one, it says, in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. Now, I have a very active and inquisitive mind. I'm sure you do, too. When I read that verse, the very first question that came to my mind is, why would he do that? He's God. He doesn't need anything. He doesn't. You know, God didn't create heaven because he needed somewhere to sit down. I know heaven is his throne, but he didn't need anywhere to sit down. He didn't create the earth because his feet were tired. Why did he create the heaven and the earth? I've only been able to find one answer for the fact that God created everything. And that is because he is creative. And therefore it is his nature to create. Now, that's not just important to know that he's creative, but what else is important is the fact that that is the first thing that God created, told us about Himself. Well, what's the big deal about that? I think that's a very big deal. Because we know that God is love. Amen. We know that God is sovereign. We know that God is omnipotent. He's omniscient. He's omnipresent. We know that God is righteous. We know that God is holy. But the first thing that he told us about himself was none of those things. The very first thing that God told us about himself is that he is creative. And by the way, that speaks to our purpose. That speaks to our what? Our purpose. That speaks to our what? Our purpose. By the way, the reason I have you answer me is because it activates your brain when you say it. When I say it, it makes you sleepy. Okay? So when you say it, it activates you. I want you to say it so you get it. Everybody say, I got it. Okay, Fantastic. So what happens is that speaks to our purpose. A lot of people go through life so saying, well, I don't know what my purpose is. I don't know what my purpose is. Well, I'm gonna solve that one for you tonight. Here's your purpose. Your purpose is to live in your creative space and make the world a better place. See, so many people go through life attempting to be like other people, but you can't be like other people. When you try to be like somebody else, nobody's there. You say, brother Myron, what do you mean nobody's there? Well, when you try to be like somebody else, the person you're trying to be like is not there. You're not there. Nobody's there. Be yourself. Live in your creativity. Some of us God gave us voices to sing. Sing. If he put a singing voice in you, some of us God gave the ability to teach. Teach. If he put a teaching voice in you, some of us God gave the ability to administer. Administer. If that's what he gave you, live in your creative space and don't think you're less than because your creativity is in a different area than somebody else. Everybody say. Somebody say, I got it. Fantastic. So in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. The platform. God gave us the platform in Genesis, chapter one, verse one. Now, what do I mean, he gave us the platform? Well, the principles of physics are how we experience life on this planet. The principles of physics are what govern time, space and matter. And that's how we experience life. Time, space, and matter. We experience life how? Time, space and matter. And God established that. Those principles of physics in one sentence. Here it is. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. In the beginning, God established time. He created the heaven. That's space and earth. That's what matter. Hang in there with me, y'. All hang in there with me. I promise y'. All. This is. I promise you're going to shout your way home if y' all hang in there with me now. Okay? So. So. So. So he established in the beginning. That's what. That's time. Talk to me. That's what time. God. And God created the heavens. That's what. That's space. And then he created the earth. That's matter. God created time, space and matter. He created those as the platform for our experience on this earth. How many of you want to have more good stuff and less bad stuff in your life? Raise your hand nice and high. Amen. Okay. Now, some people think that that's a bad thing. We think, well, it's bad to want to have more. That's greedy or that's covetous. No, it's not. I'm going to show you the difference between desiring to have more and greed and covetousness. I'm going to show you in the Bible what the difference is so that you don't have this conflict going on inside of you. Well, I want to have more, but I kind of feel guilty about wanting more because I should, you know, I should be okay with what I have and be thankful. You can be thankful for what you have while you're desiring more. Okay. And I'm going to show you from the scripture, that's good. In fact, I'm going to tell you something. The reason you want to have more. More what? More whatever. Anything good. Anything good. More health, more. Better relationships, more life, more money, better house, better car. The reason you want that stuff is because God made you to want that stuff. He's the one that put the desire in you for more and better. God did that? I'm going to show that to you in a minute. So the platform is what? Time, space and matter. What's the platform? Time, space and matter. Now, what's really interesting is the second thing that God established. He established the parameters. And we're going to skip a couple of verses. Well, we'll read a few more, and then we're going to skip some. So in Genesis, chapter one, here's what he says. He says. It says in verse six, and God said, let there be a firmament. I'm going to skip now. It says. Then it says down in verse number nine, and God said, let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place. And then I'm going to skip down to verse 11 and it says, and God said, let the earth bring forth grass. And then we're going to skip down a little bit further. And it says in verse 14, and God said, let there be lights. I want you to understand that when God was creating everything in Genesis chapter one, he created one thing after another. Let there be this, let there be that, Let there be this, let there be that, Let there be this, Let there be that. And then I want you to skip all the way down to verse number 26. God gets ready to create man. By the way, when I say man, I'm talking to the ladies in the house, too. Because God called their name Adam. Adam called her name Eve. So when I say man, I'm talking about men and women. Everybody with me say amen. OK? Genesis, chapter one, verse 26. I want you to notice when God came to create man, he said something different. Verse 26, it says, and God said, let us make man in our image and after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the fowl of the air, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Did you notice that God didn't say, let there be man?
Anybody ever wonder why could God not have said, let there be man? Well, why did he not say, let there be man? Why did he say, well, let there be cows, let there be grass, let there be trees, let there be light, let there be a firmament, let there be water. But he didn't say, let there be man. He said, let us make man in our image. Why did he do it that way? I'll tell you why. Because man is the only thing that God ever created that he did not create to be a creation or a creature.
Oh, I'm talking too fast tonight.
Man is the only thing that God created that he did not create to be a creation or a creature. I'm going to tell you something. We as believers have so many advantages in the marketplace that we don't take advantage of.
We have the advantage of the fact we have the word of God. That is an advantage, because the blessing of everything is in the word of God. Okay? We have the advantage of the covenant, and I don't have time to go into that. But the covenant is that God swore by his own existence to bless the seed of Abraham. And the scripture says in Galatians that we are the seed of Abraham by faith in Christ Jesus. So we have the blessing of covenant. But that's not all. We also have the blessing of being created in the image of God. Watch this now. And knowing it, there is an advantage to knowing that you did not come from an animal.
You say, well, what's the advantage? The advantage is an animal is just a creature. And as a creature, it must be submitted to the circumstances that are around it. But God didn't create us as creatures, as animals. Man is not a higher form of animal. Men are men, women are women. Animals are animals. They're not the same thing. We're not the same species. We are the only things that God created. Not as creatures, not as creations, but he created us as creators.
Oh, oh, oh. I promise you, you're gonna get this when you get home. By the time you get home, you ain't gonna be able to sleep tonight.
God created us to be creative. By the way, did you ever wonder, why did God have to tell us, well, first he created this, and then he created that, and then he created this, and then he created that. Do you understand that? The reason God told us not only what he created, but how he created the order in which he created it, because God is giving us a pattern of productivity in Genesis chapter one, which I don't have time to go into, but I want you to understand, when we are creating anything, we can follow the principles of productivity that God established in Genesis chapter one, and it will make us more productive. Somebody say hallelujah. So God made man in his own image. By the way, here's what's really powerful about that the very first thing God tells us about Himself is that he's creative. The very first thing he tells us about us is that he created us in his image, which means he created us to be creative. Whoo.
God made me to make stuff. He made me to take the stuff he made and make it better.
What?
Don't get me started up in here. Okay, okay, city life. I see y' all now. Watch this Genesis, that was verse 26. And God said, let us make man in our image after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image. In the image of God created him. Male and female created he them. I want you all to see this next verse. This is so amazing.
I'm getting excited thinking about it and I already know what I'm going to say.
Verse 28. And God blessed them. Somebody say I'm blessed. And God blessed them. And God said unto them, be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it and have dominion over. Over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. God blessed them. Say, let me hear y' all say I'm blessed.
I want to tell you something. The very first thing that God told man, the first command that God ever gave was, be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth and subdue it and have dominion. It's a fivefold command that God gave man. I'm going to show you that five fold command here in a second. What that is, that's the parameters, by the way. And I'm going to show you what those parameters are so that you can leave and do something about it. Say amen. So what I want you to see is that before God gave the command, he blessed with the capacity to complete the command. God never gives an assignment without first giving the ability to do the assignment. So any assignment that God gives you, you know that you've got the ability to do the assignment. Because he wouldn't have given you the assignment without first giving you the ability. See, here's what God knows. God knows you got the power. When you think you don't have the power, God knows you have the ability. When you think you don't have the ability, God knows you have the creativity. When you think you don't have the creativity, God knows you can. But when you think you Can't. Can I get a witness up in here?
So here are the parameters I want, you see, here's the challenge. Sometimes what happens is when we read the Bible, we read it too fast. We read it like it's an interstate, right? And we need to read it like it's a school zone. You gotta slow down in order to learn something. Amen. So here it is, here's what it says. And God blessed them and said, be fruitful. By the way, that's not just talking about having children be fruitful. That's talking about every aspect of our lives is supposed to be fruitful. And fruit is a thing that has its seed in itself. And seed is the self sustaining, self replenishing power. Okay? So God wants us to be self replenishing, fruitful, productive. Okay, Be fruitful. Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it and have dominion. So here it is, Here are the parameters. Everybody ready? Say, I'm ready.
Be.
Do.
Have.
Did I say that too fast?
Let me say it to this side over here.
Be.
Do, have. Now. Hey, hey. I'm going to tell you something that is exciting.
Because God established the parameters for us to operate on this platform called time, space and matter. And here are the parameters. Be, do and have. You say what's so exciting about that? Here's what's so exciting about that.
God set it up so that we would want to have more.
So that we would be willing to do more, so that we would be willing to become more. See, God's interested in our becoming, but he knows that we're not all that interested in becoming. We want to get some stuff.
Amen. So God set it up so that in order for you to get the stuff stuff, you got to do the things that get the stuff. But in order for you to even be able to do the things to get the stuff, you've got to be the person who can do the thing that gets the stuff.
So God set it up Be, do, have for time, space and matter. Now it gets better.
Because each one of the parameters is for a particular part of the platform.
You say, what are you talking about? Well, see, here's what I know. If I'm going to be more, here's what it takes, here's what's required. Time.
Being more of anything requires time.
And see, what we like to do is we like to rush the process, don't we? We want to have before we be. God said, you can't have before you be. You gotta be first before you can have. And he said, you gotta do before you can have. So be is for time. Is for being. That's why. That's why when we're born, we're not born as adults. We're born as babies.
Because in order for us to. We got so much stuff that we have to learn that it takes time. You ever think about how many words you know? You ever think about how many concepts you understand? Ever think about how many intangible concepts you understand?
And we just know them and we act like. Well, everybody knows that. Well, everybody does know that. But see, this is why animals can grow up in two weeks. And, you know, they're born and within a couple hours, they can walk. We can't walk. You know why? Because we're going to take some steps and go someplace that we shouldn't go.
So here's what it takes. It takes time. How many are with me? See, unfortunately for us, we have. Fortunately, for domestic animals anyway, for domesticated animals, they have us to take care of them, right? Okay. But we've got to take care of our. It takes for us to become more. It requires time. Here's the thing. You can't have more than you are able to do or willing to do, but you can't do any more than you are. You can never do more than you are. To ask someone to do something that is not in them is a waste of time, and it only creates frustration and irritation.
It's interesting that even though God. Not only is God okay with us having more, he designed it so we could have more. But he said, in order for you to have more, you've got to do more first. But the problem is, we're already all doing 100% of everything. We can do who we are right now. So in order for us to do more than we're doing right now, we've got to. What? Become more than we're being right now. Are y' all with me? And that takes what? Oh, y' all with me now? Y' all with me? What? Y'. All. Y'. All. I see y'. All. Y' all with me now? Okay.
This is how it works. So then the question becomes, if the key to the entire process of life and making 2015 better than 2014 was, what's the key? Well, you've got to become a better person in 2015 than you were in 2014. All of us should desire to be a better person tomorrow than we were yesterday. But how do you do that? It requires time.
Okay, that sounds good. Time doing what Time. How do you. You know, I get it. By the way, I said I was going to share this with you. What is covetousness? What is greed? Covetousness. And greed is the desire to have without the willingness to do.
Let me say. Did I say that too fast? That's why Jesus said, if a man doesn't work, neither should he eat. So if somebody isn't willing to do the work, they shouldn't have the food. Are y' all with me? God set it up that way. Now, the government might say, well, but the people that have more should give it all away. Well, but that's not for the government to decide, number one. And number two, that's not how God set it up.
Okay, I know I'm talking too fast. I lost some of y' all right there, but that's okay. I'm gonna pick y' all back up on the way to the house.
In order for us to have more, we must be willing to do more. But you know what? How many already feel like you're doing everything you can do? I mean, really, like I. Preacher, I can't do anymore. I'm wore out already. Well, here's what you got to do. You got to become more. And that is the secret to doing more is becoming more. So then the ultimate question for tonight is this. What is what? What. How do you be? That wasn't Ebonics, by the way.
That was a question. How do I become more? That is the ultimate question. Because that's. If you think about how God describes himself. How does God describe himself? The I am. God describes himself as being.
Not as having, not as doing, but as being. Who shall I say has sent me? Tell him that the I am that I am has sent you. And we're supposed to be like him. So we are supposed to focus on being. But the question then, and this is, by the way. Now I'm going to get to the practical stuff. The question is, how do you be? You have a business. How do you take your business from where it is to the place you want it to be? How do you become that business owner? You're a parent. You got little children. I don't know how to be a parent. Oh, no, Right. And those of you who don't have children have no idea what I'm talking about. The rest of y' all get it right. Okay, I got these little kids. What do I do? How do I become more? Here's. You've got to become more. The only way you can do better parenting is by becoming a better parent.
I'm married, and my marriage relationship is a struggle, and I don't know what to do. And I. Duh, duh, here's what you gotta do. You gotta become a better husband. You gotta become a better wife. It's not about doing more stuff. It's not about having a better relationship. It's about becoming the person who can do the stuff, who can have the stuff you want. Y' all got it so far. So the question is, what? How do you be? Which brings us to the last point, which is the what? Process. This is the process that God has established for being. This is the process of being. Are y' all with me? Okay, so where does the process begin? Well, I'm gonna show you where it begins. We're gonna go back to Genesis, chapter one, verse 26. And here's what it says. And God said, let us make man in our image. Hmm. So here's where it starts. It starts with imagination.
Imagination. Where'd you get that from? God said, let us make man in our image. By the way, what is an image? An image is the thing I see. For me, what is my imagination? My imagination is the ability to see what's not there yet.
I can see it in my mind before it's manifested, by the way. Do you understand? That's the only reason we have iPads? Because somebody imagined it. They saw it clearly in their mind and how it worked, and smartphones and cars and planes and trains and automobiles. Because somebody imagined some human being that was created in the image of God, imagined all of these things before they were ever manifested or created in the physical world just like we were. God's going to make us in his image, by the way. So many people make the mistake of thinking that that means, well, God must have two arms, two legs, and, you know, two eyes and a head. No, no, no. The image of God is not the physicality of God. It's the reality of God. See, the Bible says that God is a spirit. They that worship him must worship him in the spirit. And truth. Scripture says that Jesus. Jesus was made in the image of the what? Invisible God. So the part of God that we're made in his image is not the physical aspects of, but the invisible attributes of God. I'm going to tell you something. Imagination is where it starts. The being process starts. Some people call it vision. It's the ability to see what's not there. Yet. Everybody say yet.
By the way, I'm going to show you that this process works for good, bad, or otherwise. That's how powerful the process is. So if you can learn this process and make yourself apply it on a practical level, on a daily basis, your life will get not incrementally better, exponentially better through this process. Somebody say hallelujah. So imagination is first. And I want you to notice what God said. He said. He didn't say, let there be. Let there be. Here's what he said. Let us make man in our own image. Okay. The second step in the process of being is communication.
Communication. I'm going to tell you what they are and then we're going to go back and look at all of them. First step in the process is what? Imagination. Second step in the process is what? Communication. Third step in the process. Notice God said, let us make man in our image. It's called unification. What's it called? Unification. And the third step in the process is called implementation. And if you go down to Genesis 2:7, I'm not going to turn it there. But we see that God created man in Genesis chapter one. But when we go down to Genesis 2:7, here's what it says. And God formed man out of the dust of the ground. The last thing that God did when he made man, the last thing he did was implementation. That's the last step in the process. But you know what's really interesting? Most people think that implementation is the first step in making things better. It's not.
Wow.
So I'm gonna go over them again and then I'm gonna show you how it works step by step, and then we'll be done. Okay. We're not gonna get out at midnight. I promise you we'll be out by 11:30.
I'm just kidding. So.
The first part of the process is imagination. What is it? And then communication. What is it? Communication. And then the third one is unification. What is it? Unification. And then the fourth one is implementation. Everybody got it. And by the way, what happens at the end of that four step process after imagination, communication, unification and implementation, here's what we have. We have manifestation. That's when it shows up. Okay? That's when it shows up. And see, what happens is when we try to circumvent that process and we think that I'm doing, doing, doing, doing, doing, and nothing's happening. It's not manifesting. Why? Because you didn't do the whole process. Are y' all with me? So here it is.
God said, let us make man in our image. By the way, God made us. Why is he telling us how he made everything and how he made us. Why is he telling us not only that he did it, why is he telling us how he did it? He's telling us how he did it because he made us in his image. So he's showing us the process when we get ready to create how we're supposed to do it, just like he did it. Are y' all with me?
This is so exciting because you can produce results that right now, to you, look impossible. If you will apply the principles of imagination, communication, unification, implementation, you will have the manifestation. It's impossible for it not to work because that's how God set it up.
I will, you know, I think I will.
Amen. I like people to get excited about the Word, praise God. So what I want you to see is God's not a respecter of person. These principles work for anyone who will do them.
That's why the Bible tells us in Joshua, chapter one, verse eight, this book of the law shall not depart from out of thy mouth, but thou shalt what meditate therein day and night. Ah. Shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night. That thou mayest observe to what do according to what all that is written therein. For then shalt thou make thy way prosperous. In other words, God said, when you begin to apply the principles of the word of God, you will make your own way prosperous. We have too many believers praying for God to make them prosperous. And God said, too late. I already blessed you to make yourself prosperous by applying the principles of the Word. Here's what I found out about God. God won't do your part and you can't do his part. Stop trying to do his part and stop waiting on him to do your part.
So.
These principles are so powerful.
That even when we look at our society and we look at who's accomplishing things in the world and changing the world, who's really changing the world? Well, here's what we see. We see that in the business world, the people that make the least amount of income for themselves and their families are the people who are the implementers. They make the least amount of money. The people who are the doers make the least amount of money in the marketplace. And not that money is everything, but I'll tell you what, money is a measurement of the value you deliver into the marketplace that you deliver to other people. That's what it measures. Because money is really nothing more than a certificate of value served to other people. Okay? So people who are the on the lowest level of any Business or any company. They're the implementers. They make the least amount of money and they do the most work. And we want to get upset about that. Don't get upset about that. God's the one that set it up that way.
Instead of getting upset about, oh, well, I'm an implementer. I'm working really hard. I'm not making that much money. Learn how to become what? More. What's the next level? A unifier. See, this works in the business world, too. You want to become a unifier. What's a unifier? Those are people in management. Do people in management work make more than people working on the assembly line? Everybody say yes. Why are they doing more work? No, they're actually doing a different kind of work. They're not physically exhausted. They're not using their muscles. They're using their mind. And they're making more money because they know how to unify teams and to get people to work together to produce an outcome, a desired outcome. Are y' all with me? But guess what? The people that get paid more than the managers are the communicators. These are the people who communicate the ideas. These are the people who are out in the sales force. These are people who are out exchanging ideas verbally. These people are the people who get paid. They're some of the highest paid people in the world. I mean, think about Oprah Winfrey. What has she ever invented?
And I'm not on Oprah's case. I'm just saying, what has she invented? She didn't invent smartphones or computers or anything. What technology did she bring to the world? Here's what she did. She's an effective communicator. And that ability to communicate has made her billions of dollars. You say, well, but she has a TV show. Yeah, but the person running her camera's not a billionaire. You know why? Because they're an implementer.
She's a communicator. But really, the truth be told, she didn't really even make the bulk of her billions by being a communicator. She made the bulk of her billions by imagining, oh, you know what? What if I own my own show?
And so she had an idea and used that idea to change her life forever. By the way, that doesn't just work for Oprah. Who was Oprah before she was Oprah? She was just Oprah. Right.
But my point being that if you want to make your life better, you've got to move from the realm of implementation to the realm of unification to the realm of Communication all the way up to the realm of imagination. That's where those are the game changers, the people who imagine ideas. Okay, so I want to show you, before I end tonight and I'm winding it down, I want to show you something amazing. How many of you noticed that there are a lot of people in the world that are not even believers? They don't even. In fact, they don't even. They don't even believe in God. There are a lot of people in the world that even, quote, hate God, and yet they seem to be doing so well. Why is that? You ever wonder why is that? Why are all these evil people doing so well? Well, I'm going to tell you why. Because they are applying these principles unwittingly while we're walking around complaining about the fact that we're doing more and getting less and God gave the principles to us.
Now, I would love to share with you why. Do you know the Bible even tells us why so many people in the world, I mean, where they got the idea to do this stuff. I'd love to share that with you. I'll share it with you one day, I promise. But there's a reason. There's a reason that people in the world. The devil is a master deceiver. I'm going to say this.
The very first temptation.
That Satan ever tempted Eve with was the temptation to believe lack. Because he knew if he could get her to believe in lack, she would produce lack. And you say, what do you mean? He got her to believe in lack. He got her to focus on the one thing she didn't have. God said in Genesis, chapter 2, verse 16 and 17, of every tree of the garden, thou mayest freely eat. Of every freely. Every freely. Every freely. That's a lot. Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat. But of the tree that's one that's in the midst of the garden, thou shalt not eat of it. For the day thou eatest thereof, thou shalt drearily die. So she had access to everything but one thing. Satan got her focus off the everything she had onto the one thing she didn't have.
And that focus on the one thing she didn't have caused her to lose everything she did have. How did he do it? I'll tell you how he did it. He did it by changing God's word and getting her to change it. I'm not going to read it to you, but I'm going to share this with you because I really believe this is something you deserve to Know, here's what it says. Now, the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, yea, hath God said, ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? God didn't say, you shall not eat of every tree of the garden. God said, of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat. He said, yea, if God said, ye shall not eat of every tree. So he put, not in front of every. Are y' all with me? But when Eve responded, she took it out of context again. She said, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden. So when Satan put not in front of every, Eve removed every and replaced it with thee.
What? So he got her to focus because Eve said, we may eat of the fruit not of the trees of the garden. Not of every tree of the garden. She said, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden. So Satan got her focus off of all that she had onto the one thing she couldn't have. And it cost her to lose all that she had because she was focused on the one thing she didn't have. By the way, when you are focused on the one thing or the couple of things you don't have, that's what causes you to lose all the blessings you already have. All you gotta do is shift your focus.
Okay? This principle works even for bad people with bad agendas. Turn to Genesis, chapter 11. And we're gonna end up here. We're gonna land the plane in Genesis, chapter 11. Starting with verse one. Here's what it says. And the whole earth was of one language and of one speech. And it came to pass that as they journeyed from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and dwelt there. And they said, one to another, go to, let us make brick and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime they had for mortar. And they said, go to, let us build a city and a tower whose top may reach unto heaven. And let us make a name, by the way, when they said, let us build a tower whose top can reach unto heaven. I mean, really, Come on, you don't have cranes. You don't have backhoes. When y' all read that, like, when I read that, that's not even possible. I mean, it's not impossible today. How was it possible back then? What are y' all doing? Like, go do something that's gonna work, right? But that's not. I mean, how many y' all thought that when you read it, we're gonna build a tower whose top can reach heaven. By the way, that was not a good agenda for several reasons. First of all, it wasn't a good agenda because the person who was heading it up was not a good person. Nimrod was a person who wanted everybody to bow down and worship. He wanted to replace God. That's when it says. When it says Nimrod was a mighty hunter before the Lord, it meant he was a mighty hunter who put himself before the Lord. He wanted people worshiping him. He wanted to create a kingdom for Nimrod. But the other thing, they wanted to build a tower whose top could reach heaven. So if God sent another flood now they won't be judged again. They can escape the judgment. Well, is that possible? I mean, when I'm reading, I'm thinking, that's crazy. Did anybody else think that? Okay, good couple, y'. All. But I want you to notice what God said about says, and the Lord came down, verse 5. And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the children of men builded. Bad people, bad agenda. Here's what it says. And the Lord said, behold, this people is one. That's unification. They all have one language, communication. And now this they begin to do. That's implementation. Now nothing will be restrained from them which they what imagined to do. That's imagination, God said, because even though they have a bad. They're bad people with a bad agenda. We when they apply these principles, nothing will be restrained from them which they've imagined to do. And I'm going to tell you something. When you begin to apply these principles, nothing will be restrained from you what you've imagined to do. You can go out and start a business, and nothing will be restrained from you which you've imagined to do. And you can build a family. And nothing will be restrained from you what you've imagined to do. And you can have financial peace and nothing will be restrained from you what you've imagined to do. You can be restored to family members that you've been at odds with. And nothing shall be restrained from you what you've imagined to do. And you can go out and minister in the marketplace and be an example and change Tampa or change your community, because nothing will be impossible for you what you've imagined to do.
God gave us the process. All we got to do is apply it.
Here's why this is powerful.
Imagination is the highest level. Because everything starts in the mind. That's why the battleground is for the mind. Because everything starts in the mind. By the way, Satan operates in the lives of Christians by putting thoughts in their minds and making them think those thoughts are their thoughts. Because the battleground is the mind. You say. Well, where does the Bible say that? The Bible says in Second Corinthians 11:3, it says, I fear lest by any means that as the serpent beguiled Eve, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that's in Christ. It says in 2nd Chronicles, chapter 21, verse 1. Now the devil stood up against Israel and provoked David to number Israel. If the devil can put a thought in David's mind, the man after God's own heart, and make him think that thought is his thought, so he acts on it. The devil can do it to you.
Jesus said to Peter, when all the disciples are named, Peter is always named first. Peter didn't want Jesus to go to the cross. Jesus said to Peter because he knew where the thought was coming from. Get thee behind me. Who? Satan. For thou savers not the things that God those be of men. The Bible says in Genesis, In John, chapter 13, verse 2, it says, the devil having now put it into the heart of Judas, Simon's son, to betray him. Peter said to Ananias in Acts, chapter five, why has Satan filled thine heart? To lie to the Holy Ghost and keep back part of the price. I'm telling you the battleground is the mind. And what you've got to do is you've got to make your mind so full of the word of God that there's no room for the devil to put a thought in your head.
The battleground is for the mind.
What's the power of communication? Communication has the power to create faith. The Bible says faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God has the power to create faith. And what I want you to do is I want you to learn how to use better words.
To speak faith into your life instead of doubt. To speak faith into your children's lives instead of doubt. To speak faith into your spouse's life and instead of doubt and to serve people with. The Bible says that our words are supposed to be with grace seasoned with salt. You know what grace means? A gift. Our words should be a gift to everybody. We say them to. Do your words build up or do they tear down? Communication is power. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. They that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
So imagination is important. Communication is important. Unification is important. Two are better than one. A threefold cord is not quickly broken. If one will chase a thousand, two will put ten thousand to flight. Where two or more gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them. God has shown us all throughout the scripture these principles. If we will apply them, we will become more and be able to do more and ultimately have more.
And implementation, even though it's in the marketplace, it's the lowest level of value. It is absolutely essential. We can't leave it out if we want to have that manifestation. We can't leave out implementation. Because Jesus said, if you know these things, happy are you if you what do them?
I'm going to tell you something. My mission, I believe my mission in life is to share with God's people that the word of God has a practical, relevant, applicable right now. Answer for the challenge you are facing now. For your Goliath, for your lion's den, for your fiery furnace, furnace. For the situation you're in, for the storm that you are in. God has a word.
And when you apply that word to your life, your life will get better. Hallelujah.
So here's what I want you to do.
When you leave this place tonight. I want you to leave determined to make the rest of your life the best of your life.
By becoming more in time, doing more in space, and you will have more matter. Because time is for being and space is for doing and matter is for having. The purpose of stuff is to have. That's the purpose of it. That's why God created stuff so we could have it. That's why I said, have dominion. Okay, how do you do that? Imagination, communication, unification, implementation. And I promise you, in 2015, if you will apply this, you will see manifestation beyond what you can ask or think. May God continue to bless you. God bless you.
