Michael B. Clegg presents a short Inner Circle coaching video on conscious leadership, arguing that challenges are inevitable but can be reframed as opportunities through an intentional mindset shift (reactive emotional responses vs deliberate responses). He shares a personal TEDx-related anecdote about a tragic accident that propelled him to find meaning and create Leadership Squared. The talk emphasizes self-awareness, pausing to reframe setbacks, and leading with intention to become a future version of oneself. He promotes a 12-week group coaching cohort scheduled to kick off in mid-to-end October and notes upcoming marketing materials.

All right, welcome back to the Inner Circle, the weekly video. This week we're going to talk about challenges and conscious leadership. And you have to understand that challenges are not optional. We all know that they happen in our lives. Nothing we can do to stop them. They're just part of life. Okay? But how we respond to them defines the path and how we move forward. So this week, let's take a look at what those setbacks and how those setbacks can actually become a launching pad for what I like to call conscious leadership. And when we stop reacting and start leading with intention, we not only overcome these obstacles, but what we find is that we set a course of becoming the future you. And that's an important piece about it, right? And we're not going to get into this whole little R reaction and big R response, as I like to call it. One is very emotional, one is very rational, but every challenge that you have is an opportunity in disguise. But it only becomes clear when you shift your mindset, right? And that's important because mindset's everything. And I know this from personal experience. As I've said, you know, in my TEDx talk, after a very tragic accident, I found myself in a pretty dark place that would have been really easy for me to stay there. It would have been very easy for me to let that define me. But instead I made a choice to shift my mindset, and that mindset changed everything. Okay. Instead of seeing that moment as something that happened to me, I did start thinking of it differently and how the accident could have happened for me. And even that alone was tough for me to do because it felt selfish to talk about, you know, a tragic accident and saying, oh, someone else lost their life and that happened for me, that wasn't what it's about. And that's not what happening for me is about what, what it means to, to say something happened for me is to say I want to find meaning in what I can take away positive out of that situation. And, and that shift honestly allowed me to take and, and turn the trauma into a per purposeful journey. And it set me on a path to create something meaningful like leadership squared, which 12 months ago really wasn't much of a idea in, in my mindset at all. It wasn't, it wasn't something I was thinking about. So conscious leadership isn't just about weathering the storm, okay? It's about using the storm clear a path to a, to a bigger and better future. And you have to be very self aware and introspective in order for that to happen, you stop, focus on what's right in front of you, and you start making decisions that align with where you're going. And this shift is intentional leadership. And it takes you from simply surviving right or getting by to the moment of actually growing beyond the trauma or growing beyond the obstacle, the setback, the challenge. And that's important. So this week, as you experience challenges or obstacles, take a moment, create some space and pause. Instead of little r reacting, which is an emotional response or an emotional reaction, refrain the situation, ask yourself, how can this moment help me grow? What can I learn from it? How can this help me become the future version of myself? And when you lead with that mindset, every challenge really does become an opportunity to step into something a lot more powerful, into the vision of your future. You and I want to leave this with you. Okay? The only way to overcome limiting beliefs is by changing the way that you think. And the more that you shift your mindset, and once again, mindset is absolutely everything, the more that you'll see that your biggest obstacles become your greatest opportunities. And it is the the fastest and the clearest way to obtain growth. Okay? And if you're ready to consciously make changes to unlock that future, you message me. I've got a 12 week program, a group coaching cohort that's going to kick off in the mid, mid to end of October and I'd love to, I'd love to have some of you guys in that group and you'll start seeing some marketing material next week around that. But really, once again, appreciate you guys, appreciate all the comments that I get inside of the inner circle and let's explore how you can turn massive obstacles and challenges that you have into massive and epic future growth. Till we meet again. Thanks for joining. Talk to you soon. Thanks.
