Hey, everybody. Welcome back to this week's Inner Circle Video. And this is going to be a quick hitting one very short. But today we're going to get real, like, really real. So grab a notebook and a pen and let's talk about something called distractions. You know, as we're heading into the end of the year, the holiday season is coming up. People are starting to prep for New Year's resolutions, which the average person gives up within two weeks. Let's help you identify some things that will hold you back from whatever you're trying to accomplish in 2025. First, step one, list all your distractions. And I mean all of them. Is it social media? Is it Netflix, binge watching? Is it online shopping? Is it hitting the snooze alarm every morning? Which, by the way, the average American hits The snooze for 24 minutes every single day. Do the math on that. 24 minutes, seven days a week, four weeks out of a month, 52 weeks out of a year. That's a tremendous amount of time that is wasted. But write all those distractions down. No judgment, no shame, just awareness. Now, if you're anything like me, it's probably a pretty lengthy list, but that's okay. Now step two, you're going to circle the distractions that you can stop in the next 30 days. One thing for me that I've done, I put a time limit in on my social media. I've got a max of 15 minutes a day. Maybe it's cutting back on scrolling through your phone when you first wake up before you go to bed. Maybe it's dedicating 30 minutes or a period of time every morning before you pick up your phone. Step three, you're going to circle the distractions that you can quit within the next 12 months. Some distractions are trickier than others. They've got their hooks in us. But here's the good news. Everything doesn't have to go immediately. Worst case scenario, just pick one. What's stealing your energy and make the future you thankful for the today version of you. Remember, it's a marathon, not a sprint. And then step four, you're going to make a never do again list. Now, this is a big one. It's an ultimate commitment to yourself. Look back at all the distractions that you've listed and just say, I am done with that one. It's where you draw the line. It's where you say, nope, not doing that anymore. So what are you willing to leave behind? Seriously, think about it. Your future. You is cheering you on. Every distraction that you release becomes more room for focus and clarity. And both of those make more room for growth. So what are you willing to leave behind? Start putting together an action plan. Because maybe you realize that one of the distractions is actually someone, a person in your life. And it's okay. Sometimes we have to let people go. So take these steps. Reflect on the list, commit to it, and watch the progress grow. Until next time, keep building a life that the future you will be proud of.
