The content is a monologue by a speaker named Byron discussing interpretations of the Bible, the influence of Satan on scripture, and the importance of studying the Bible deeply to understand its true meaning. The speaker emphasizes the dangers of misinterpretation and the need for personal study of the scriptures.

The exercise some people get, right, you're probably thinking, what, what version, what version, what version is he going to call the Satan's Bible version, Right? Okay. So this is not about, this is not about.
The King James versus the new King James versus the ASV versus the NIV versus That's, that's not what this conversation is about.
This conversation is about the fact that so many people get their doctrine from a perversion of scripture which Satan is always at the root of. So when we see somebody perverting scripture, we know that they are influenced by Satan himself. And we see how Satan operates, and he operates by changing what God said to make you believe something God never intended for you to believe, or to make me believe something that God never intended for me to believe. And so I'm going to read a couple of passages to you.
And then we're going to look at several passages and then we're going to come back and we're going to come back and see what happens from there. So in Genesis chapter 2, God is talking to Adam. God called their name Adam. Adam later called her name Eve. And by the way, I don't, I don't know if you all realize this or not. Genesis, never mind. I'm not going to chase that rabbit. Never mind, I'm not going to chase that rat. So Genesis chapter 2, verse 16 and 17. And the Lord God commanded the man saying, of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat. But of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it for the day thou eatest thereof and thou shalt surely die. So God said, of every tree of the garden thou shalt freely eat. So I want you to notice the words, every tree freely eat. Every freely, every freely. Those are abundance words. Those are not lack words. Every and freely are words of abundance. So we come to Genesis chapter three and we introduce the serpent. Now, some people would like to argue, okay, well, you know, a talking snake, Come on. Well.
I don't understand why that's such a difficult thing to believe when you consider how things have changed over time. Like we don't see dinosaurs roaming the earth, but we know they were here, right? So just because snakes don't talk doesn't mean they didn't, right? I mean, God made everything. And so one of the books that I have in my library is called the Origin of Speeches and it's written by a Jewish rabbi. And he's proving in this book, it's like phone book thick, right? He's proving in this book that every language in the world is a derivative of ancient Hebrew, which he calls Edenics. And in that book, he talked about the word nekish. Nekish is the word for a snake or a serpent. And he talks about the fact that the serpent was the highest of all the animal kingdom and was an animal that had language and.
Could walk uprightly like a man. But when Satan embodied this creature and used him to tempt man.
The punishment was, on your belly you will go, and the dust of the earth, etcetera, like, you'll crawl on your belly, you'll eat the dust of the earth. Man's heel will bruise your head, and you'll bruise his heel. So we know that's a prophecy about Christ, but that's not the point I'm making. The point I'm making is this, that he went from the serpent, went from being the highest of all the animals to being a tail with a face.
Right? And went from being able to talk to only being able to hiss, right? And so it was the. It was. It was just. So don't. Don't read this and say, well, that's not possible. Like when you read about the Tower of Babel and they had a plan to build a tower whose top could reach heaven, it seems like that's impossible, right? But it says, the Lord came down to see the tower and the city and the tower which the sons of men builded. He said, now this people is one, and they have one language and one speech. Now this they begin to do. And here's what God said about the tower. Even though they didn't have hydraulics or helicopters or like power equipment, here's what God said. Now nothing will be restrained from them, which they've imagined to do. We think we're so technologically advanced, but a part of the reason we believe that is because we've never been to the ancient world. Like, if you go to the ancient city of Ephesus that was completely covered in silt, and they dug it out with toothbrushes, right? And the. The entrance to the library of the ancient city of Ephesus is at least 30, 40ft tall, right? They built structures that lasted for thousands of years. They have stones in the ancient world. They're half as big as this room I'm in, right? How did they even move those stones? Like, we think we're so technologically advanced, but understand, maybe we're not as technologically advanced as we think we are. Anyway, that was a little side rant. I do that from time to Time. If you're new to our YouTube channel, Hang in there with me. We're going somewhere. So. So now it says in Genesis chapter three. Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, yea. Now I want you to notice this. The first word he says to her is yes. Yay. Yea, hath God said yes? Has God said right? Talk about, talk about a salesman. This guy's. And he's good. Yea, hath God said, you shall not eat of every tree of the garden. That's not what God said. God said, of every tree freely eat. Satan took out the word freely and added the word not. Does that change the meaning? It is so dangerous to change the word of God and attempt to make it mean something. Like I going to tell you something I want to. One of the biggest problems I see in our world today is that pastors and preachers and full time ministers don't study the Bible. They want to teach motivation and they want to teach inspiration and they want to tell stories and nursery rhymes. Everything that God has ever done, he's done through His Word. And everything that he will ever do, he will do through His Word. If he's going to do something through me, he'll do it through His Word. If he's going to do something through you, he'll do it through His Word. And so.
Yea, hath God said, ye shall not eat every tree of the garden. And the woman said, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden. Well now she took out the word every and the word freely. It still changes the meaning. What do we learn from this? What we need to learn from this is that we don't need to study Satan's Bible version. We don't need to attend Satan's Bible studies. We don't need to let Satan teach us the Bible. How can we tell when Satan teaches the Bible? When he changed the word by the way? Let me, let me say this. I'm going to make like I like. I personally like the King James version of the Bible and the complete Jewish Bible. Those are my two favorite versions. But I will say this. All translation is commentary. Did you hear what I said? All translation is commentary. And so one of that's why it's so important. Regardless of which version of the Bible you use, my recommendation would be the King James version or, or the complete Jewish Bible. I think I've already said that. Get a strong's concordance. Because more important than Being able to read the words in English easily is to be able. Being able to understand what the words meant in the original language when they were first spoken or first written. Okay? Because words change meaning. We live in a world where they change the meaning of all kinds of words. You know, when I was a kid, they used to call it being a drunk. Now, now they call it alcoholism. It's a disease, right? It used to be called. Used to be called adultery, right? Which is an abomination. But now we call it an affair. Sounds like a party. Maybe I should bring a gift. Right? And so.
Understand.
Satan is at war with God's word, but Satan is at war with words.
I mean, we're turning into a society that doesn't even use words anymore. We just use abbreviations, right? Smh. Lol. Everything's an abbreviation. Well, let's don't abbreviate and truncate the word of God. So.
She said, we may eat of the fruit of trees, the garden, but of the fruit tree that's in the midst of the garden, God has said, you shall not eat of it. Neither shall you touch it, lest you die. Well, God didn't say don't touch it. She added. And she's taking stuff out and putting stuff in. Okay, let's go to Matthew, Matthew, chapter number four.
Matthew, chapter number four. And this is right after Jesus was.
Jesus was baptized. Then was Jesus led of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted 40 days and 40 nights, he was afterward and hungered. That which is always laughable to me, you don't say. Right. You didn't eat anything for 40 days and 40 nights. And you're hungry. Not surprised. Okay. And when the tempter came to him, he said, if thou be the Son of God, command these stones to be made bread. But he answered and said, it is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. The devil taketh him up into the holy city and setteth him on the pinnacle of the temple. Pinnacle of the temple. And he saith unto him, if thou be the son of God, cast thyself down. Why? What he says next? For it is written. What? Satan's quoting the Bible. You mean just because somebody quotes the Bible? They weren't sent from God.
Satan is quoting the Word to the one who is the word.
Oh, okay, let's don't. Let's don't get it twisted, ladies and gentlemen. Taking them up into a holy City him on the pinnacle of the temple and saith unto him, if thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down. For it is written, he shall give his angels charge concerning thee, and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. He was quoting an Old Testament scripture. Jesus said unto him, it is written again, thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. So here's how Jesus defeated the devil. In his Bible version, he knew the word better than Satan did. See, when you are a student of the Word yourself, I get it. Your pastor studies the Bible. Your pastor eats breakfast too, but that don't make you full. I'm sorry. I'm gonna calm down. Pump the brakes, Byron. Pump the brakes. And so what we have to do is we have to understand that we are responsible to God for what we do with his Word in our lives. Your response? Hey. I was 17 years old when I came. 16 years old when I came to Christ. I was 17 years old when I started reading the Bible. I had never read a book in my life that was not a comic book or a karate book up to that time. I didn't read books for school. I didn't read because reading was hard for me. I always felt like when I was a little kid, I always felt like I was chasing the words across the page. Sit still. Don't you see I'm trying to read you? You know, my brain just moved faster than my eyes. And so.
So I started reading the King James version of the Bible. It made perfect sense to me. And I had never read a book in my life, so. And I do want to say this too.
Is there some place in life where you can show me where making something easier for somebody made it better for them? Is that how life works in real life? Not really. Right. So anyway, but I started reading it. But I didn't just read the King James version of the Bible because I wouldn't have known anything. You know what I did? I got a big old thick, strong concordance which has strong's. It's called strong's Exhaustive concordance of the Bible. And what it has in the Strong's concordance, you can look up every word in every verse. It goes verse by verse by verse, word by word by word throughout the Bible. So you look up a word in the Bible, you go to that word. Like, if I want to look up the word. If I want to look up the word devil, I can look up the word devil and I can go to the Word devil and then find it in the verse I'm looking for. And then it has a little number that's associated with the definition that you turn to the back of the book and you reference it to find out what the word meant. And when I first started studying the Bible, we didn't have apps, we didn't have computers, we didn't have all that stuff like personal computer. When I started studying the Bible, there was no such thing as a personal computer. Right? If there was one, the only thing you use it for is playing a game. So what do we do strong to the Bible? A vine's expository dictionary. What? We're looking up the words so we can. If you don't know what the words mean, you can't know what the word means.
It's a law of definitions. If I don't understand, like if I don't have a word for a thing, then that thing has no meaning to me. It has no significance to me. And so what we have to do, like all of us. Now, fortunately for me, now I've got my Strong's KJV Bible app. And so if I want to look up the word in here, I want to look up the word devil. All I got to do is touch the word devil. And it comes from the Greek word diablo, diablos, diabolos, which means a traducer, specifically satan, false accuser, devil, slanderer. Wow. Well, I used to have to turn a whole bunch of pages. My strongest concordance. And now all I got to do is touch a word that's underlined.
But some people can't be bothered.
It's too much. See, reading the Bible is great, but studying the Bible is essential.
Right? Reading the Bible. I believe we should all read the Bible. I believe we should read it. I believe we should listen to it. I believe we should memorize. But we have to study it. If I don't study, if I don't do word studies, I can't know what it's saying. I might know what it says, but I have no idea what it's saying. Are y' all tracking y' all with me? Okay, so Satan used the word against Christ. Now I'm going to go to 2 Corinthians, chapter number, number 11, because I want you all to see something amazing. 2nd Corinthians, chapter 11. And here's what it says in verse number three. This is the apostle Paul writing to the Corinthian Church. But I fear lest by any means, that as the serpent beguiled Eve through His subtlety. What's subtle? Subtle means slight. Satan is not an overt tempter. He's a covert tempter.
Y'. All. Tracking. See, Satan does not scream at you. He whispers to you.
And it says, I fear lest by any means, that as the serpent beguiled Eve or deceived Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. Now remember, over in Second Corinthians, I think it's chapter three, where it says, lest Satan should get an advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his devices. Guess what? That word device is the Greek word noema, which means thoughts. We're not ignorant of his thoughts. How does Satan operate in the life of a believer? That's a good question. Right. By putting thoughts in your mind and making you think those thoughts are your thoughts.
Because thoughts. Where do thoughts come from? Well, some thoughts come from God, don't they? Sometimes God will just download an idea on you. Well, thank you, Lord. I appreciate that. Right. Sometimes you get a download. So some thoughts come from God. Some thoughts come from yourself, maybe from your memories. Right? Maybe something you're. You're remembering, something you're thinking about. Okay, Maybe just a contemplation, right? Like, oh, just thinking about how this works. Oh, that's a great idea. Right. Some thoughts come from us. When it comes to, like, innovation, we're thinking about one thing and it reminds us. This thing over here reminds us of this thing over here. And then all of a sudden we're like, oh, my goodness, eureka. Right? But thoughts also come from other people. In fact, when someone is talking to you, I want you to wrap your mind around what I'm about to say. When someone is talking to you, the reason they're having a conversation with you is to take thoughts out of their mind and put them in your mind. That's the whole purpose of a conversation. When you're talking to somebody, the reason you're talking to them is to take thoughts out of your mind and put them in somebody else's mind. Right? So that is the objective of communication. Take thoughts out of your mind, put them in somebody else's mind. Okay? So thoughts come from God, they come from me, they come from other people. Okay? Thoughts come from experiences. All of a sudden, I have this experience, and then all of a sudden, like, I take memories and expectation, mix them all together, I have a thought, voila. Right?
But thoughts also come from Satan.
Because the scripture says we are not ignorant of his devices. How does Satan operate in the Life of a believer, he can't possess you. And see, here's the problem. You think, and I say you. A lot of believers think that because Satan can't possess you, he can't destroy you. But Satan knows something we haven't figured out yet. He don't have to possess you to destroy you. He can oppress you to destroy you. He can influence you to destroy you. He doesn't have to possess man. I don't need to possess you. All I got to do is put a thought in your mind and make you think that thought is your thought. How's that work? Do you remember?
It says, I think it's in first.
I don't remember. Second Samuel, second Samuel, maybe? No, it's not second Samuel, maybe second Samuel, chapter 21, where it says, the devil stood up against Israel and provoked David to number Israel.
David thought that was his idea, didn't he? Do you remember what it says in John, chapter 13, verse number three? The devil having now put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him. Judas thought that was his idea.
Do you remember Ananias and Sapphira, Acts, chapter five.
When they came and lied to the apostles and they sold their house, which was their house, and they gave half the money and acted like they gave all the money. Why? Because they want. The problem wasn't that they didn't give all the money. The problem was that they wanted to deceive people.
Hmm. What did Peter say, Ananias, Why has Satan filled thine heart to lie unto the Holy Ghost and keep back part of the price while it was yours? I mean, while you had it, wasn't it your own house? Couldn't you do with it what you wanted to see? Satan operates by putting thoughts in our minds and making us think those thoughts are our thoughts. And then we act on those thoughts as if they're our thoughts. But what we have to do is we have to actually. We have to actually take inventory of our thoughts and make them show an ID card before we let them in.
Because if you don't like. There are so many things.
It'S so fascinating. People don't understand. Satan is the founder of religion.
He found a religion in Genesis, chapter three. God didn't establish a religion. God established kingdom, authority on earth handed over to man. Man handed it over to Satan. Jesus came and took it back and has been handed like, take this authority. I'm giving it to you. And we've been saying, I don't know what to do with no Keys, Lord, kingdom, keys. I don't know what to do with that. And we disregarded it because we don't understand what the word means. Because we don't understand what the words mean. Well, interestingly enough, let's go back to Genesis chapter three now where we can see clearly that we can see clearly. I'm going to read a bunch of verses to you. Because he said, I fear lest by any means that as the serpent begot, he threw a subtlety, so your mind should be corrupted from the simplicity which is in Christ. What does that give us that gives us a clue? I fear lest by it he means that as the serpent beguiled Eve, so he will beguile you. So if I want to understand.
If thoughts here, here's the question. If thoughts can come from God and they can come from me, and they can come from other people and they can come from my experience and they can come from the devil, doesn't it make sense that I should figure out a system? I should have some kind of system for knowing when a thought is coming from Satan. Does that make sense? Yes. So how do I know when a thought is coming from Satan? Well, we're going to look at it. But.
Verse 5 or verse 4 rather. The serpent said unto the woman. I'm gonna read verse three first. But. But the fruit tree that's in the midst of the garden, God has said, you shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die. And the serpent said unto the woman, you shall not surely die. For God doth know that the day you eat thereof, then your eyes will be open and you shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. That's the first religion introduced right there in Genesis, chapter five, verse, I mean Genesis chapter three and verse number five. For God doth know that the day thereof, then your eyes will be open and you shall be what as gods knowing good and evil. So what does religion do? Religion.
In this.
All translation is commentary, so hang in there with me for a minute. Religion says that you get to be God, you get to decide for yourself, or you get to decide for other people what's right and wrong. You shall not surely die. For God doth know that the day you eat thereof, then you will be as gods knowing, discerning good and evil, deciding what's right and what's wrong. God's telling you not to. So here's what Satan says. If you will do the thing God told you not to do, you will be more like God. And she bought it. Why? Because Satan is The father of lies, he's a master liar. Do you understand that a lie that looks like a lie is a waste of time to tell?
In order for a lie to be beneficial to the liar, it has to look like the truth. It has to sound like the truth. You can't tell a lie that looks like a lie and go anywhere with that. You got to make it sound good. So here's what I'm going to tell you. If you will do the things God told you not to do, you will be more like God.
So what is. What has every religion done since that time? So that was the first religion. What's it called? It's called hedonism. Hedonism is the first religion in the history of the world. What is it? It's man becomes God. You get to replace God. Why did Satan want you to replace God? Because Satan wants to replace God. He wants to influence you and make you think you're God, and then he gets to be your God, and so he gets to take God's place. He tried to do it in heaven. It didn't work. So he came to Earth and said, well, you know what? It didn't work the first time, but I figured some stuff out. I'm gonna try it again.
Y' all tracking. So what do we need to do? We need to understand how Satan is operating and say, nah, I ain't falling for that. I ain't falling for that. So it says that you shall be God's doing good and evil. So man becomes God. So what has every religion since then done? Well, a man or a woman or a group of men or a group of women have gotten together and made up a bunch of rules that tell people what they have to do to be more like God.
Wow.
Wow.
That's why it's imperative that if you are a follower of Christ, that you become a student of His Word.
That I become a student of His Word, I must. Like, this is not an option play. This is a basic bread and butter mandatory play. I must be a student of the Word, and I have to look up the words and I have to compare scripture with scripture. So I don't. Hey, did you realize. Did you know there are no isolated doctrines in scripture? There are none. Anything that God has ever said is supported by something else God said. And if it's not supported, God didn't say it. Why? Because at the mouth of how many witnesses? Two. Two or three witnesses. Let every word be established. I'm going to show you something really interesting that I wasn't planning on showing you, but I might as well show you because we're already here. So the Hebrew word for truth is the word Ahmed. Right. Aleph Mem Tav. Well, the interesting thing about Aleph Mem Tav is this. There are three letters in the word truth. There are three witnesses. Each one of these letters stands on two feet. So there's one side there, one side there, one side there, one side there. So. So you got three letters that all stand on two feet. You know what the word is for falsehood? It's the word sheker.
Sheker, Sheker, sheker.
Trying to remember which way.
What do we see about this? All three of these letters stand on one leg.
This. This letter is the number for 400. This is 40. This is 1. The number for truth is 400 plus 40 plus 1 is 441. 4 plus 4 is 8. Plus 1 equals 9. This is the letter. This is the number.
200. This number represents 200 in.
No, not 200. 300. This one's 300. This one's 200. This one's 100. You add them together equals 600. 6 plus 0 6. 0 equals 6.
What is a 6? An upside down 9. What is a lie? An upside down truth?
I mean, I would go into more detail than that, but I don't have time. So the word amet is the first letter, the middle letter, and the last letter of Hebrew Aleph, beit, the word sheker. All of those letters are right by each other in the Hebrew aliphate, but they're out of order. So what is a lie? It's something that you can only see a little piece of and it's out of order. What is the truth? Something that you can see. The beginning, the middle and the end, and they all line up. That's why it's so important to study Scripture. That wasn't aside. That wasn't. That was an aside, but a good aside. What am I saying? I'm saying, like, the Bible is essential, so it doesn't matter what religion. I'm not going to go name a bunch of religions. You already know the names of them. But you got a bunch of people trying to use the Bible to control a bunch of other people.
Instead of folks walking in what the scripture calls the individual priesthood of the believer, every human being, every man, every woman, every child in a relationship with God through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Instead of that making up a bunch of rules.
If you look at how God set everything up in the beginning, I'm chasing Rabbits. But they're good rabbits, and I need to let them go. But if you look at how God set up everything, in the beginning, God created everything in Genesis chapter one. Then he created man. And then what happened? Man sinned, then he sent his son to die. So we look at how we feel fulfilled. We feel fulfilled when we're emulating the Father. What is that? Well, God created. So when we create, we feel fulfilled. So creation. God made man to connect with who is a being, like God, but not God. So God created man so he'd have somebody on earth to connect with. So he created creation, then connection. And then man sinned and broke that relationship, and then he sent his son to die on the cross for our sins so that we. We could be reestablished. That's God's contribution. We feel fulfilled when we have. When we're creating something in our creative space, we're connecting with other people and connecting with God. We're vertically connected, we're horizontally connected. And then we're contributing, we're contributing to others, we're contributing to God and his work. And then we feel fulfilled. So.
How can I tell. This is. I'm going to wrap it up. How can I tell if a thought's coming from Satan? Well, here's what he gave us. A clue. I fear lest by any means, that as the serpent beguiled Eve, so your mind should be corrupted from the simplicity that's in Christ. So if I want to understand a Satanic thought, all I got to do is go back and look at Genesis chapter three and study Genesis chapter three and see what kind of thoughts Satan put in Eve's mind. So the first one, now the serpent, was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, ye have. God said, ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden. Okay, so the very first thought, God said, of every tree, freely eat. Watch this. This is so amazing. God said, of every tree freely eat, Right? Every free. Every tree freely eat.
Satan took out the word freely and added the word not. Yea. If God said, ye shall not eat of every, does that change the meaning? The woman said, we may eat of the fruit of the trees. She took out. She. She didn't want people to think she was radical, so she took out the other word. We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden. But the tree that's in the midst of the garden, God said, you shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die. So if you understand that the word garden means enclosure. Eden means pleasure and provision. It means pleasure. So the garden of Eden was God's protected place of pleasure and provision for his people. That's what the garden of Eden was. You had one tree in the midst of the garden. God said, don't eat of that. And then you got all these trees. Almond trees, pear trees, plum trees.
Avocado trees, walnut trees, olive trees, mulberry trees, all kinds of trees. Right? So Adam and Eve have all of this abundance. They only lacked one thing, the tree that's in the midst of the garden. There was only one thing Adam and Eve lacked. Hmm. So what did Satan do? Satan got their attention off of their abundance and got them to focus on the only thing they lacked. The first temptation in the history of the world was the temptation to focus on lack of. So what is the. How do I know if the thought is satanic? The first kind of thought Satan wants to just. Satan wants to put in my mind is he wants to distract me with dissatisfaction.
Wow. Satisfaction and discontentment. Satan wants. If I'm thinking, why can't my house be as nice as their house? Why can't my car be as nice as their car? Why can't my wife be like so and so? Why can't my husband? Why can't my children? Why can't my parents? I can't. My job.
Thoughts and words of dissatisfaction and discontentment are satanic.
Satan gets you to ignore all of the blessings in your life and focus on what's missing. Why? Because he knows if he can get you to focus on what's missing, everything reproduces after its own kind. And he can take everything from you because the thief cometh not, but for to steal, to kill, and to destroy.
So that's the first one. The woman said, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden, but of the tree of the mystical garden, God is saying, you shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die. Here's what Satan said. You shall not surely die. Satan wants us to deny the destruction of disobedience.
Satan wants us to deny the destruction of disobedience. Huh? Deny the destruction of disobedience. Here's what he wants you to think. He wants you to think you can get away with it. See, we see the. By the way, we see this all through Scripture, y'. All. We see it all through the Bible. Who was it that was distracted by dissatisfaction, discontentment? You remember a man named Achan? You're going into the promised land. You've been waiting for this your whole life. You're going into the land that God promised your great great grandfather, Abraham. You're getting ready to go in there. Your parents and your grandparents, they were in slavery for 400 years. You're going into the promised land. And God says, the first city. Don't you take anything. Achan says, what? Did y' all see that suit? That Babylonian suit was fire.
And he took two. That's what it says. It says he took 250shekels of silver, a wedge of gold, and a goodly Babylonish garment. What did he do? He buried it in his tent. Nobody will ever know.
He forgot. Bro, you're going into the promised land.
But he got distracted with dissatisfaction, discontentment. What happened? Well, they went up to fight the battle of AI. And they lost. And thousands of soldiers died. And so God said, here's what you do. Oh, by the way, they can't. Oh, dear God, please. We just lost the battle. God said, what you praying for? Any time to pray, time to clean up.
He said, they're sinning the camp. They ain't time to pray.
They cast lots. Lot fell on Achan. Took Achan outside the camp, stoned him, him, his wife and his children.
Because he got distracted with dissatisfaction and discontentment. Do we see anybody denying the destruction of disobedience? Huh? All through the Bible. I can get away with it. I can get away with it. I can get away. How about David, man for God's own heart? What does he say? Well, you know what the scripture says. There came a time when kings went forth to battle, but David tarried at Jerusalem.
David said, I ain't going to work today.
And the palace was taller than any other house in the. And people bathed on their houses. Because if you go to Israel, like, they have walls around the roofs, right in the top. So this woman on a roof bathing said, why she bathed the roof. That's where they bathe. David saw her. He said, what you say?
And they sent for her. Not only was she another man's wife, she was the wife of one of his most noble and faithful servants, a man named Uriah.
David committed adultery with her. She got pregnant.
Hmm. David said, but rise out of battle where I should have been. I know what I'm do. I'm going to bring him home. I'm going to get him drunk and then he'll go home to his wife. No, I'm going to bring him home and go to him. He didn't go. He slept on the porch. He said, all My brothers out here fighting and dying, I ain't going to go home and enjoy my. No, I ain't doing it. David wasn't prepared for that. He said, well, I'm going to get him drunk. Uriah had more self control under the influence of alcohol than David had when he was straight up sober.
Nope, I ain't doing it. David said, well, there's only one thing left. I got to kill him.
And David thought he could get away with it until Samuel came and pronounced judgment on David. Or David pronounced judgment on himself. He said, the man that has done this thing shall pay fourfold. Guess what happened? The baby died that Bathsheba had. What happened next? Well, Amnon raped his half sister Tamar. Judgment number two. Absalom killed his half brother Amnon for raping his sister Tamar. Talk about family drama.
And then what happened? One of David's own generals.
Joab, killed Absalom, David's son. What? David, you can't get away with it. There's no such thing as get away with it. Okay, I'm sorry taking so long, but I thought I was going to be done sooner. But you know what, Truth need to be told. So here we go. So ye shall not surely die, for God doth know the day ye thereof, then your eyes will be open, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Watch what it says next. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, pleasant to the eyes, desirous to make one wise, she took the fruit thereof and did eat. Gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat. Here's what it says. Here's what that shows us. It shows us that Satan.
Wants us to. He wants to desensitize descent, desensitize.
Our discernment.
So that we won't know right from wrong, up from down. By the way we've become so desensitized, nothing's wrong anymore. We entertain ourselves with all kinds of iniquity. And nothing like sin is no longer exceeding sinful. Why? Because.
We'Ve been listening to the wrong voice. Oh, that ain't that bad. It's just that ain't that bad. It's only.
Right. Okay, so that's a Satanic thought. What does it say next? And his eyes shall be opened.
God knowing good and evil, she took of the fruit thereof and did eat. Gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat. What? Satan. Don't miss this one. Now, Satan depends. Depends.
On our. On.
Depends on our dependence.
Our dependence to defeat.
Our defenses.
What does that mean? That means if Satan can't get you to do it, he'll get somebody you love to get you to do it.
Where do we see that? All through Scripture. Satan couldn't get to Adam, but he knew Eve could. He said, I'll get her, she'll get him.
Satan understands the magic of compound recruiting.
Can I get a witness? Hey, even Amnon. We talked about Amnon, right? The scripture says Amnon loved his half sister Tamar, but he thought it hard to do anything to her. What does it say after that? But Amnon had a friend whose name was Jonadab, a very subtle man.
And Jonadab gave me. Gave him a plan to rape his half sister. He would have never thought of that.
See? You know who else had this happen, right? Jesus. Jesus tells him about In Matthew chapter 16, I'm going to go to Jerusalem. I'm going to be delivered up. I'm going to be crucified. Peter said, oh, be it far from me, Lord. What did Jesus say? Jesus said, get thee behind me, Satan. Because Jesus recognized where that thought was coming from. Get thee behind me, Satan. Why do you call him Satan? Because you savor the things that be of men and not the things that be of God. Satan depends on our dependence to defeat our defenses. And Satan knows there are things he can't get you to do. But. But he knows he can get your kids to get you to do them. He knows he can get your wife to get you to do them. He knows he can get your husband. He knows he can get your friends, your family, your spouse, your siblings. He knows he can get somebody who you're connected to to get you to do something he could never get you to do.
So we got to watch out for Satan talking to us through the people we love.
The last thing I'm going to give you is this. When it comes to how Satan operates, I mean, how we can recognize a Satanic thought.
It says in he did Eat, verse seven. And the eyes of them both were opened and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden and the cool of the day. And Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord amongst the trees of the garden. Satan.
He wants us to deny disclosure.
To our deliverer.
Who'S the one that can deliver us only Christmas Deliverer. He wants us to deny disclosure. He wants us the only one who can save us instead of us seeking him out when we blow it we hide from him.
They knew that they were naked, made fig leaves. Everything they do now is a cover up.
When I am hiding from the presence of God because I'm afraid, oh, he's gonna be mad at me. And God don't want. God don't want to hear from me. I'm so bad. That is always a satanic thought.
And so what we've got to do is we've got to stop listening to Satan's version of the Bible. We got to trust God's version and that God will do what he said he will do. And he loves us more than we love ourselves.
