With those people. And because of those conversations, our thinking and our philosophy is shaped. And, you know, I'm very grateful that President Perez I've had a few opportunities to have conversations, and they've really been profound in terms of what's been shared, and I just wish we had more of them. But I think, you know, I appreciate celebrating people who deserve to be celebrated. And I think he clearly is not only an intellectual and we all know great statesman, but a man of peace and a person who's making a big difference. So I'll simply say the question is not what did I learn, it's what didn't I learn. We covered a lot of ground, whether it's President Peres beloved to nanotechnology, but also, really, we didn't know that.
He.
Says sensation in Israel.
It's our love of philosophy and also our love of leadership. And my message is a very simple one, which is regardless of a title, by virtue of being human being, we have a natural power inside of us, and that's a power to be creative, a power to influence by our example, a power to be good human beings, a power to be curious, a power to express the best within us. And I think this very special conversation once again covered a lot of those bases, and I learned a lot of great things as well, and I will continue to be shaped by our conversation.
So is there anything specific that he told you or said in the past that was influenced to you in your books?
Of course, and I hope I've given proper credit in my books because a few things come to mind. First of all, the phrase you can eat three times a day and you'll be fed, but if you read three times a day, you'll be wise. Very, very important, because we know so much about your love of books, and I'm a great book lover as well. Second thing the of kind comes to mind from previous conversations would be the essence of leadership, which is donate your life to a cause that's larger than yourself and you'll find the secret of happiness. And that stayed with me. And then the final thing, if I may, President Perez, which is just reflecting on Ben Gurion as a leader and a simple idea which is be a person of your word, keep your word, be honest. And in many ways, what's happening in the economic world right now and in so many other elements of society, we're getting back to some fundamentals and honesty, integrity, and genuine leadership, I think is a part of that. So those are a few of the things that are going to stay with me.
Thank you very much for that, for your friendship.
Thank you.
It.
