Welcome, Tina.
I would love to hear a bit about where were you at in your job search before you joined the program? Stand up. Job search.
For about two years, I was in a company, it was a large oil and gas company, and I was struggling with this toxic work environment. I stumbled upon your YouTube videos, and I'll tell you what your content got me so far. I, I was landing at the final round interviews for like, seven companies. But just at the very end, I just, they never put a ring on it, right? So I'm just wondering, you know, what am I doing wrong? What, what are those nuances that I'm not picking up, that are not putting down? And I, I saw that you were doing this masterclass that you're doing now, right. And I was one of those people who was very skeptical. I did a couple of the days and I joined in on one of the final days and I saw this sort of testimonial and I was like, I want to be that testimonial. Like, what is it going to take me, you know, to be there? And I know if Mallon's content that's free is this good, imagine how good her paid content is going to be. So I was one of those decisive people that took the step right then and there, and I joined in. And I'll tell you what, like, the first week of joining, you know, we had the opportunity to kind of describe where I was at and, you know, get some advice. And so I mentioned that I was just rejected and I was at this, like, low, low, low point. You know, that feeling of rejection. You just kind of want to, like, throw the table out and just give up, right? But you gave me this. You shifted my perspective completely. And you're like, that, no, just probably means not yet, not now, right? But it could be that it's coming later. And so I'm like, oh, my gosh, why didn't I think of it that way? And so what, what you realize when you join the paid program is there are some nuances that you just, you know, stepping back and really looking at yourself, what do you want? What are you looking for? You're doing as much of the interviewing as much as they are, right? So some of the, some of the paid content really went into mastering, like the interview process, mastering what your LinkedIn profile wants to actually say about you. Don't just make it a wiki site about you, Right. It's all those things led to, you know, me reaching back out to my dream company, to Toyota, and, you know, the timing was right. It was really not then. It was, it was, you know, a new job position was created and it was like the perfect position for me. And it was going to be at my dream company. And I was like, you know what? I'm going to use the stuff I learned from the interview course and I'm going to apply it. And I did, you know, like several mock interviews. I mastered the process and I found so many little nuances that I wasn't picking up and putting down that I got from the paid content. And to my surprise, I was told that I was the perfect candidate. I mean, so perfect that I ended up getting $40,000 increase in my salary. With the negotiation skills I learned from your course, I became their top choice. So they gave me a sign on bonus. Usually companies like this don't give the sign on bonus, but they did because they liked me as an interviewer so much and they also gave me a car as part of the whole benefit package. So it couldn't have been better.
How has it been? Especially after the program, like, do you get hits to your LinkedIn profile? Do recruiters reach out to you to ask you to interview when you haven't applied?
With those tweaks that I made in my LinkedIn profile, like, I would say it's about 50% more visibility to recruiters than before. And I'm getting so many more hits. Like, I'll check my email every morning. I get at least five recruiters asking me if I want this, like, remote position or, you know, whatever the case may be. The network that you're going to build in this course is amazing. I built so many great friendships and everyone's motivating each other. You know, the Facebook premium Facebook group, I mean, everyone's encouraging everyone. We're all like working towards the same goal, right? So you meet so many people, you learn so much, and everyone's at like a different stage. It's, it's phenomenal how it worked, you know, And I, even though I was like, you know, I do want this one on one coaching, I'll tell you what, the group coaching pushed me even harder to my confidence level from before joining to like three months after, like skyrocketed. And I think that was probably one of the key things. And you know, for those folks who are on the fence about it, like, I know you're thinking, you know, what the heck, this is too much money. I was on the fence too, right? But when I joined and now I'm at this stage, this program has paid for itself like, 10 times, right? I mean, look at the results. And that speaks for itself. So I'm just saying, if you're on the fence, go for it. I know my worth. I know what I deserve. And, you know, I got that and so much more out of the course.
