I was landing at the final round interviews for like seven companies just at the very end. They never put a ring on it. So I'm just wondering, you know, what am I doing wrong?
I came to your program frustrated, disappointed, I think a little lost.
I was really anxious to get out of accounting, but I didn't know how. And I was worried about ageism.
I wasn't getting past that first interview and I didn't really know what I wanted.
I'm hitting like roadblocks everywhere. I wasn't able to get any interviews or anything. So, yeah, I was desperate.
When I was looking at the website and considering whether I was going to join or not, and I saw that number, I was like, okay, this is a lot for a person that's coming from education. But the way that I viewed it was more like this is an investment in myself and I deserve something like this.
I was totally on the fence. It's real money and it's a real time investment. It was very rewarding. I think I got a lot of clarity.
Some of the pain content really went into mastering, like the interview process. Mastering what your LinkedIn profile wants to actually say about you.
You really kind of cut through like, this is your value, this is what you need to negotiate. Here are all the other things you should be asking for at this point. Here's exactly how you should say this.
Most of my work happened beforehand. You know, really getting my LinkedIn in shape, connecting with tons of people and all the informational interviews, and really learning a lot about how to redo my resume and how to look for companies.
My strategy changed a lot after joining the course. One was communication. So I learned to identify my strengths. I learned to put together my story, basically. It was also confidence and it's effective and actually works.
I was getting like 10, 15, like reach outs like every single month.
It's just mind blowing when you can see like, okay, I can do this.
You shifted my perspective completely and you were like that. No, just probably means not yet, not now. Right?
Reiterating the importance of networking and building relationships with people that are meaningful.
It was a huge shift. Like instead of having to apply, I had so many recruiters reach out to me. And to this day I still get that because my LinkedIn's still optimized. I know what I want now.
And I recently just got a promotion and with that raise.
Yeah.
And it's only been like four months at my new job, like at the.
Height of it, I was getting like five contacts a week from recruiters, a.
New job position was created, and it was like the perfect position for me. To my surprise, I was told that I was the perfect candidate. I mean, so perfect that I ended up getting $40,000 increase in my salary.
I increased my salary by like 133%. And yeah, my benefits cost less. And then, like, the kind of retirement contributions they do, it's insane.
I landed literally my dream job. I can't even explain, like, how happy I am in this role.
You get what you put in the work for. I really walked away from it thinking that I learned a professional skill.
I literally more than doubled my salary. You can't put a number on the value that your coaching provides. Like, it's just. It's literally life changing.
