The 6 Rules for Superior Energy and Fitness | Robin Sharma

Robin Sharma shares six rules for staying energized while traveling: eat less, skip food after 8pm, avoid white foods like sugar and pasta, drink plenty of water, exercise daily, and swap sweets for healthier options.
I'm here in Kuala Lumpur and I want to focus on this vlog about world class fitness and how to create high levels of energy and high levels of stamina. When I'm out on the road, one of the things that's most important to me is maintaining high levels of energy so I can get everything done so I can keep up with all the pace. So first of all, here's a look at.
A piece of Kuala Lumpur from the car. It's a fascinating place, so many different cultures here.
And let me get right into this. So I've called this the six rules for superior energy and fitness. The first is really borrowing from Gandhi, eat less. All too often we eat more than we need to eat. When we eat too much, we don't have as much energy as we want. So eat until you have had enough, but don't eat until you're to the point of being full. Because the digestive process is one of the body's most energy consuming processes. And when you eat less food, you'll find you have a lot more energy. Rule number two, nothing post 8pm so if you eat at 10 o', clock, you're going to find that you're not going to sleep as well and you're going to wake up feeling tired. And again, having a lot of energy is so important to leadership without a title and playing at your best. Number three, the third rule for superior energy and stamina is really don't eat white food. And what I'm referring to there is cut back on sugar or cut out sugar. Secondly, pasta. Thirdly, bread. Anything that's white, put it away and replace it with things like fruits, vegetables, more water and protein. Fourth rule, drink more water than you would ever imagine drinking. You want to be very well hydrated. It'll not only make you more clear thinker, it'll give you the energy that we're looking for and keep you strong amidst a really busy world and a pace that's faster than ever before. The fifth is daily movement. What I'm talking about here is exercise. In the healthy body resides the healthy mind. And you want to be, especially in these turbulent times, a clear thinker so you can make clearer decisions. So you want to be exercising and moving your body at least every day. Definitely every day. Because that will not only give you the endorphin rush so you're feeling good amid stressful times, but it will give you the energy that you're looking for. Then the the final rule, the sixth rule of superior energy is really replacement food. So you don't have to go without. If you like sweet things, just replace it with maybe muesli or something like that, or a cereal or fruits. So that'll give you kind of a sense of that sugar fix. And yet it'll prevent you from feeling like you're not enjoying life and depriving yourself. So again, just remember that in these turbulent times, times we need lots of energy to run more quickly to do all we need to do. And I hope these six rules for great energy, superior energy have been helpful to you. So my best wishes from Kuala Lumpur, we're off to Singapore next, and then Hong Kong, and then we're ending up this tour in Shanghai. So thanks for being with me. Bye. Bye.
