The Blessing Of The LORD Maketh Rich Pt. 3

Myron Golden argues wealth is a biblical blessing, not sin. He traces Genesis and Solomon's riches through Proverbs 10:22, then lays out three steps: serve people, solve their problems, and sell profitably. Solomon accumulated 120 talents of gold by following this pattern.
Chapters
About riches are a blessing from the Lord. And we. It's so interesting to me that we even have to have this conversation, but we have to have this conversation. And it's interesting to me that we have to have this conversation because it's clear, like, the Bible is not going to. It's not. God's not going to talk out of both sides of his mouth. That's a Southern colloquialism. That means you're contradicting yourself. See, God don't talk out of both sides of his mouth. He says something. If he said. If he said something yesterday, he means it today, right? Why? Because I am the Lord. I change not. I'm the same yesterday, today, and forever. And it's. It's. I believe the reason we have to talk about the concept of riches being a blessing from the Lord is because religion.
And a bunch of religious people have attempted to use the Bible and have successfully attempted to use the Bible to make people believe that poverty is piety and wealth is wickedness. Poverty is not piety and wealth is not wickedness. However, wealth is also not piety and poverty is not wickedness. But they are their own things independent of each other. And having more money is not going to make. I don't want to make too much money. I want to get in. How many y' all heard somebody say that, right? Like, I don't want to make too much money. I want to get into heaven. Like, you have misinterpreted scripture. You've misinterpreted it. I don't mean you kind of have misinterpreted you completely, just as adamantly as you believe your misinterpretation of the passage about the children and the rich young ruler. Because it's not just about the rich young ruler as passionately as you believe that and have been taught that.
As emphatically as you've been taught that. Do you understand.
That the evil people who perpetuated slavery for hundreds of years around the world, and especially in the United States of America used the Bible like, misinterpreted the Bible so they could rule over people. See, if I come to a scripture, and that scripture tells me that I'm supposed to rule over another human being, I've already misinterpreted it.
I wish I had. From heaven. Thank you, Stephanie. Appreciate you, sister. Okay, so understand.
Satan doesn't have any originality. He has to counterfeit what God has already done. And so Satan doesn't have any ideas. So he takes God's ideas, he corrupts them, see? And we see this in Genesis, chapter two. And verse number we see just in Genesis, chapter two, verse 16, 17. We see this in Genesis, chapter three, verse, verse, verses one through three, five, whatever, right? Genesis, chapter two, verse 16 and 17. Lord God commanded the man saying, of every tree of the garden, thou mayest freely eat. But of the tree that's in the. But of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it. For the day thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die. Boom. That's God's word. Satan comes to Eve in the form of a serpent. Now, serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field, which the Lord God had made and said unto a woman, yea, hath God said, ye shall not eat? Well, God didn't say, you shall not eat.
Satan changed the words to change the emphasis. Because Satan understands when you change what you say, it changes what you see. Why? Because words are not just a communication tool. Words are the window through which we see the world. And so if I'm looking through the world, if I'm looking at the world through the lens of words, then the bigger my vocabulary is, the bigger my experience of the world is, the smaller my vocabulary is, the smaller my experience of the world is. And that's why. That's why the enemy is so bent on changing the definition of words. That's why there's a. Like, there are so many words that exist today that didn't even exist 50 years ago, right? Like, we've changed the language to make things more acceptable. We used to call it being a drunk. Now we call it alcoholism. Being a drunk was a sin, but alcoholism is a disease now. I'm not responsible anymore.
See how changing language, like, it files the edges off of the evil. Are y' all tracking? We used to call it committing adultery, which the Bible says is an abomination to the Lord. But now we call it having an affair. Sounds like a party. Maybe I should bring a gift, invite some friends. Right? An affair, right? Sounds like an event. It's not an event. It's evil. It's a sin.
You just call it being homosexual or a sodomite. Well, if you use that language today, sodomite, right? Now, that's the language the Bible uses. Sodomite. So now those two people. No, no, no. They ain't got nothing to do with love. It's a physical. Is a physical sexual perversion. According to the Bible.
God hadn't. God hadn't been wrong before. Now, I know that, like. But, Maya, you Can't say that it's not politically correct. I'm not running for office and I'm not trying to make anybody mad. Like. Like there's. I. There's probably not a person listening to me that doesn't have a homosexual in their family somewhere, right? So I'm not. I'm not saying hate those people. I'm not saying hate people. I don't hate people who smoke cigarettes. I hate some cigarette smoke, though, right? I don't hate people to smoke cigarettes. I don't hate. I don't hate people who commit adultery, but I hate adultery. I can't. If I don't hate adultery, I can't love my wife.
Love requires hate anyway. Never mind. But it doesn't require that you hate people. I don't hate. I can't think of anybody that I hate. I can think of some people I ain't trying to spend a whole bunch of time with.
But I don't hate anybody, right? And so what's happened is because a small group of people that we've changed language, we don't call it sodomy anymore. We call it being gay, right? Which is terminology I don't use. And I'm not trying to be offensive to anybody. I'm just. I don't use that. Like.
Why don't I use that terminology? Because the word gay when I was growing up meant happy. So the implication is that people who are not homosexuals are not gay or not are not happy. So I refuse to use that as language. I'm not going to use the world's terminology, the flesh terminology, the devil's terminology. I'm going to use God's terminology. Maybe we should just call it what the Bible calls sodomy, Abomination. Just like he calls adultery an abomination, right? And.
It'S not about. It's about understanding. The words change. And by the way, people are trying to use the Bible to promote that these days. All of those things, those are being okay. But the reality is God is not going to be wrong. Just let God be true in every man a liar. That's what the scripture says. Let God be true in every man a liar. So if anybody disagrees with God, I'm going to have to disagree with you because that's, you know, that's where we at right now. Okay? Okay. So there are people who bought into this idea that wealth is wickedness because it was promoted through Greek mythology and then Roman mythology, then the Catholic Church, and then it got passed all the way down to the Protestant church. And so this idea that if you want to be closer to God, you have to be broke is a broken idea. And it's a satanic idea. Yes, I said satanic. Because Satan always wants you to focus on what's missing. And if you focus on lack, you perpetuate lack. And so we've been spending this time looking in the scripture. I can remember people who are richer than I ever hoped to be, preaching to me about the evils of money. Well, you got more money than we got. What you're talking about, like, we were pitiful poor when we were growing up. Can I get a witness, Rob? Okay, so. So. So that's when you're so poor, poor people feel sorry for you, right? I'm not even joking. I mean, it sounds funny, right? But I'm not even joking. We were that poor. We were pitiful poor. My parents never bought a new car. My entire life growing up, they didn't buy a new car until all of us were grown and gone. All seven of us, grown and gone. We were poor. We bought all our car. The most, I mean, maybe the most expensive car I remember my parents buying was $500.
And so I grew up poor. So you're not going to persuade. Like, I've already been there, done that, got two T shirts.
Okay, are we gonna pay the electric bill this month? Are we gonna pay the gas bill this month? I've been the person who's been trying to make things work. Married, with a wife and a child on the way, and no electricity and no water in my house. You wanna tell me that's virtuous? What's virtuous about that? Anyway, that was my introduction.
So. So we've been talking about, riches are a blessing from the Lord. Now, I said something last week. My brother Mike's a pastor, and I love talking to him about my ideas because just because we bounce, we've been bouncing things off each other since we were teenagers. He said, marion, you said something in your Bible study last week that I want to bring. You said, only slaves and soldiers had jobs. Everybody else owned businesses. He said, what about those day workers that got hired for the day? I said, oh, that's a good point. I'm glad you brought that to my attention. So, see, I stand corrected. I stand corrected. Like temporary help. They were people who had jobs. There's a job in the Bible. It didn't come with benefits and it didn't have insurance, but at least it was a job. It was a job. And it wasn't a Slave. And it wasn't a soldier. See? I stand corrected. And remember what I said last week? If you find something different, please tell me. My brother told me he found something different. He told me I am not always right. I don't even pretend to be always right. I do my best to be right. And then I learned some new stuff, and I found out I wasn't right. That's beautiful. See, here's one of the problems in the world today. One of the problems in the world today is we want to silence the voices that disagree with us. That's a very dangerous place to live. In fact, I can't think of any place more dangerous. Think about it. Think about it. Tyranny always seeks to silence opposing voices.
Hmm. You ever think of that?
And by the way, it's interesting to me, I wasn't planning on talking about this today, but since I'm chasing rabbits, I might as well get all of them.
It's interesting to me how.
We don't even think about the fact that just because somebody calls somebody a name doesn't mean they're that name. Just because somebody calls somebody a racist doesn't make them a racist. But here's what it does do. It causes other people to stop listening to them.
Can I suggest something? Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.
The people who should make our radar go off, like all the alarms should start going off when I hear somebody trying to silence an opposing voice instead of communicating with it. See? So when somebody just. I'm not confused. If somebody disagrees with me, I'm right 100% of the time.
I was waiting for y' all to say what? Say what? If somebody disagrees with me, I'm right 100% of the time. Here's what I'm right about. I'm right about the fact there's a 50% chance they could be right and a 50% chance I could be right.
That I am right about 100% of the time. And if I'm right, I want to stand my ground. If they're right, I want to know so I can change.
Beware of people who are afraid to find out that they are wrong.
Did I say that too fast? I think I might say it again. Beware. Like, beware. Be wary of people who. Who are afraid to find out they are wrong. The only motive I could possibly have for silencing an opposing voice.
Because I'm afraid in my heart of hearts that they might be the one that's right.
I'm not.
I don't spend any time arguing with A racist. Let's say somebody is a racist. Let's say somebody's like, a bonafide, like, Aryan Nation, white supremacist, like, thinks black people are not even human.
Cool. Do you, bro?
I'm not gonna waste any time arguing with that person. Why? Because Mark Twain said, never argue with an idiot.
He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.
By the way.
I want you to think about this. Think with me, Pete. I'm going to get to this. Blessed riches are a blessing from the Lord in a minute, but I'm helping you open up the pathways of your mind. Like, let's stop silencing the voices of races and let them open their mouths and show everybody that they're a fool.
Wow, there's a novel concept, right? If I go outside and somebody's standing out there in front of my office right now and they're screaming, the sky is green and the grass is blue. The sky is green. I don't care what y' all say. The sky is green and the grass is blue. How much time am I gonna spend having a conversation with that person trying to persuade them that the sky is actually blue and the grass is actually green, bro? None. Why? Because their argument doesn't merit. Their statement does not merit conversation.
I can hear it and not hear it at the same time, right? But if they're trying to persuade other people that the sky is green and the grass is blue, and then I say, but wait a minute, y' all don't believe that now.
Or worse yet, north is south and south is north, because that's the world we live in, right? Like, evil is good and good is evil. That's the world we live in, right? So, hey, hey, all of you who believe the Bible, you believe in God, you believe in good, you believe in biblical morality. Yes, I said it. Biblical morality. For all of you who believe in that, stop being afraid to stand for truth.
It's the silence of people who believe something that have caused all of these radical.
Wild, believing people.
To think they're the only voice. Because they're the only voice that's heard.
And now we've created a culture where a man and a woman who can have a child.
Are looked down upon. Because if they teach their child that there's such a thing as a boy and a girl and a man and a woman, they're looked down upon as something's wrong with them. Because the people who believe the opposite have a bigger mouth. They don't have a better point.
Like, I Love people I love. I have to go a long way to find somebody that I would. Not that I just don't want to do something to be a blessing to them.
I want to be a blessing to you regardless. But I cannot. I cannot be silent about the truth to make people feel comfortable. Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. The Apostle Paul said, am I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth?
That's a good question.
So this idea.
That poverty is piety and wealth is wickedness is not a biblical idea. Because if it were a biblical idea, the Bible would be a contradiction against itself. If poverty is piety and wealth is wickedness, were a truth, the Bible would be contradicting itself.
So week before last we looked at.
The purpose of riches are a blessing from the Lord. Last week we looked at the power to get riches are a blessing from the Lord. This week we're going to look at the principles of riches are a blessing from the Lord. They're principles. Now what is a principle? A principle is a truth. A principle is a law that governs the universe. So, like, I geek out a lot and I start thinking about stuff and then my brain starts going down all these little rabbit holes. And then sometimes I get lost down there in the rabbit holes and it's just. It's just amazing. And so I was thinking. I was thinking about the. And I don't know if maybe some of it. Maybe somebody's done some research on this. I haven't, but I'm going to do some today because I thought about it this morning. You ever think about the laws of thermodynamics, like the laws of energy? You ever think about that? Have you ever thought about it in conjunction with Genesis, chapter one? Right. Right. The first law of thermodynamics is everything is energy. Energy neither created nor destroyed, it just changes form. Right. So what's the first thing we see? We see, in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. Right? So God is. God is the source of all energy and he created the heaven and the earth. So he is. Right. What's the second law of thermodynamics? Entropy. Anything left to itself tends to move more and more towards disorder. What does it say in Genesis, chapter one, verse two? It says. It says, and the earth was or became without form and void and darkness upon the face of the deep. Right. And then you have the law of polarity. Right. For every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction. Right. And for every Negative, there's a positive. Every positive, there's a negative. And so it says, and the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, let there be light. And there was light. And God saw light that was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. And the light he called day, and the darkness he called night. Anyway, I just started thinking about this. I said, I wonder if all of those laws of thermodynamics are in Genesis chapter one in the same order that we see. Anyway, that's where my geeky brain went. That was just a rabbit I chased. It had nothing to do with anything. So let's look at some principles, except for this. Principles. Here's what's cool about principles. Principles don't care. Don't care what? They don't care how old you are. They don't care how young you are. Principles work for young people and old people. Like, they don't care if you're a man or a woman. Principles work for men. Principles work for women. Principals don't care what color your skin is. Principles don't care what language you speak. I'm gonna give you all. Y' all ready for the great news about principles? Let me hear you say, I'm ready. Okay, here it is. All principles always work the same for everybody. So sometimes we look at people who've been applying principles for a period of time, and we think they're different. And we think there's something innately different about them than us. But the only thing that's innately different about them than us is the fact they've been applying principles that we've not yet been applying, or they've been applying them longer.
Like, game over. You know what I call? I call principles God's automation, right? So God set up this automation, wove automation into the fabric of the universe, the automation of gravity. What goes up must come down.
But there as principles, there are laws that govern everything. Guess what? There are laws that govern everything, including wealth, riches, if you desire to experience the blessing of the Lord that maketh rich. And when I say rich, I'm not just talking about just having a rich and noble heritage. That's good, too. I'm talking about money. I'm talking about property.
I'm talking about stuff to leave your kids and your grandkids and them, okay, you want to have that. There are three principles of riches that are a blessing from the Lord that you want to apply. First of all. And by the way, the verse for Proverbs, chapter 10, verse 22, says the blessing of the Lord. It maketh rich and he addeth no sorrow with it. In case you're picking, this is the third in a three part series. So if you haven't seen the other two, go back and watch the other. Like part one and part two. This is part three. Okay? So.
The principles that we must adhere to.
Are, first of all, the principle of serving people. That's the first. You want to know the first principle of riches? Okay, I'm going to let you all on a little secret. Y' all ready? All of the money that you want from, and you don't have it right now, it's in somebody else's pocket.
Now, there are some people who recognize that already. And so what they want to do, they want to go hit a bunch of people in the head and take the money they got in their pocket. That is not a wealth principle. That's called a jail principle. Okay, so the wealth principle is this. If I can figure out a way to serve this person and give them something they desire more than they desire the money, they will happily pay me.
And I submit to you one reason. One of the reasons poor people stay poor is because they're not focused on serving other people. It's like people go apply for a job and here's what they say. I really need this job. That is not why I put this job on the market because you needed a job. I put this job on the market because I needed a job done. Now, if you would have came in here instead of saying, I really need this job, if you just said, like, I am the best person you could ever hire for this job. I'm going to show up before everybody else. I'm going to leave after everybody else leaves. I'm going to make sure everything you need gets done. And my goal in life is to make you successful. If that was your. If those were your answers on the interview, who else they gonna hire?
I promise you, nobody else said that.
So when you go get a job.
Like, go in there from a perspective of how can I make this person's life better? When you go get a client, well, I really need to make a sale. I made a sale in three weeks. And if you buy this, I'll be able to pay my light bill. They don't care.
That's not a good entrepreneurial story. Right? People don't buy things from you because you need their money. They don't like you that much. They don't like me that much either. So don't get excited. People buy from you because they believe you have something they value more than they value the money they are paying you, period. Show up seeking to serve. By the way, you have not served when you feel like you've served. You've served when they felt. When they felt served, period. Service is not what you feel like you gave them. Serving is what they feel like they got.
Yeah, but I did my best. Nobody cares about your best if it ain't what they wanted. But I'm really good at digging holes. I dug a hole. I dug a hole right up there in your. I don't need a hole in my yard.
I worked really hard digging that hole. Nobody cares. See, by the way, you realize that entrepreneurs who can't sell, that's why they can't sell. Because they're so busy talking to people about all the stuff they've invested and all the time and all the sacrifice they've invested into getting that degree or getting that skill, and you're talking about you, and they just don't like you that much.
This is not hard. This is not a. This is not a hard equation. My people, all we have to do is every. What if. What if. You're. I promise. In fact, I'm not even gonna say what if. I'm gonna make you a promise. If you shift your focus to every time you come in contact with another human being, your only objective while you're with them is to make their life better. I promise you, your whole world will turn around for the better.
So crazy, amazing, and so simple. So let's look at a good example. So some of you, maybe this is your first time watching me on YouTube. So I've had the privilege, by the grace of God, to be. I came to Christ when I was 16 years old, started reading the Bible, started studying the Bible.
And I started acting like it was true. I just started doing this stuff. And guess what? It worked just like the Bible said it would. Okay? So I found in the Bible, this guy.
He was the wisest, wealthiest man who ever lived. I said, you know what? The Bible lays his business out in scripture. I'm gonna do my business like he does his business. Guess what? It works. Thousands of years later, it still works.
Watch this. First Kings, chapter 10. This is so good. So, by the way, this is where I got my whole business model from. So for those of you who think I'm a genius now, you're gonna know the truth is gonna be out.
Oh, I'm sorry. Chapter three, First Kings. Chapter three, First Kings, Chapter three. Okay? And I'm Gonna look at verses three through five through eight. First Kings, chapter three. Here we go. In verses five through eight, it says. Here's what it says. In Gibeon, the Lord appeared unto Solomon in a dream by night. And God asked, where? What shall I give thee? Can I tell y' all something that has never happened to me? God has never woke me up and said, hey, boy, wake up. What do you want me to give you?
Now that would have been a great dream, right?
It's really interesting that the Lord appeared to Solomon by night in a dream by night. And God said, ask what I shall give thee. It's never happened to me. So since it hasn't happened to me, how many? All would like it to happen to you, okay? So I got news for you. It's probably not going to happen. And that's okay, because it happened to Solomon. And the things that were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we, through patience and comfort of the scripture, might have hope. So, because it happened to Solomon, and it's not going to happen to me. If I just pay attention to what Solomon said to God and what God said to Solomon, maybe I can get some similar results. Since he ain't waking me up, asking me what I want, maybe I should just do what Solomon did and maybe I can get the same result. Maybe that's childlike faith. I don't know, right? But look at him. Here's what it says. In Gibeon, the Lord appeared unto Solomon in a dream by night, and God said, ask what I shall give thee. And Solomon said, thou has shown. Thou showed thy servant David, my father, great mercy according as he walked before thee in truth and in righteousness and uprightness of heart, that thou hast kept for him this great kindness that thou has given him a son to sit on his throne as it is this day. Now, let me ask you a question.
Thou hast blessed thy servant David. Who was David? He was the king of Israel. David was the king of Israel. But when his son thought about him, he thought of him as a servant.
Let me ask you a question. Does your son think about you as a servant? Does your daughter, does your wife, does your husband think of you as a servant of the family? Do your employees think of you as a servant of your team? Do your team members see you as a servant of your team members?
Does your boss see you as a servant for the company? Or does everybody who sees you see you as somebody who's looking to get something?
I'm telling you the principle. I did A whole. I did. I did a YouTube video on this called how to be great. Even if you're not good. Like, you want. You want to watch a great video that really goes into detail on this? Because I'm not going to go into detail on it today. It's called how to be great even if you're not good. Right? It'll change the game for you. Like.
You can be greater than people who are better than you. Wow, that's pretty stinking cool. Okay, so he said, show that I served David. Okay, and then. And now. O Lord my God, thou hast made thy servant. He's talking about himself. King instead of David, my father. But I am but a little child. I know not how to go out or how to come in. How did Solomon. How did Solomon see himself a servant.
You've made me your servant. Hmm. To be king in this place of David, my father. And then he said, I'm a little child. I don't know how to go out or come in. And thy servant is in the midst of thy people. Oh, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Solomon, you mean these ain't your people? No, they're God's people.
These people who work for me here at Skillionaire hq, they ain't my people, They're God's people.
When I go to a restaurant later today and I eat, that person serving me is not my person. They're not my server, They're God's server.
And what if I treated them like I would treat Christ? Would that change everything? If Jesus was my server, would I give him a bigger tip? Come on now. Where my people? Where my people? Where we at? Where we at? Huh? If Jesus came to work for my team, would I give him better pay? Come on here. Huh? If Jesus was my boss, would I show up earlier, stay later? What? How many y' all tracking? If Jesus was one of my clients, would I make sure I over delivered, not overwhelmed him?
I wish I had. Okay, so.
And thy servant is in the midst of thy people whom thou has chosen. A great people that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. Give therefore thy servant. Man, you see, he keeps using this word. An understanding heart to judge thy people that I may discern between good and bad. For who is able to judge this thy so great people? And the speech pleased the Lord that Solomon asked this thing.
The principle that will create wealth for you is the principle of service.
Now.
Some people don't have enough empathy, show up and serve. Some people are sociopaths.
What does that mean? That means they see society as a path for them to climb over.
Some people are psychopaths, which means they're on the path to being crazy, and they halfway there. Right? Right. But you have to have enough empathy, you have to have enough care for other people to show up to serve them instead of showing up, trying to figure out how they can serve you. Stop trying to be a big shot amongst a bunch of little shots.
I just want to be a little shot. Keeps on shooting.
The principle of service. I'm telling you, like.
I kind of want to ask my team.
I don't want to get the wrong answer. Like.
I hope.
They'Re here, right? So they're here. So, like, I hope that y' all feel like I'm in the game for y'. All, like, and you don't have to say yes to that. You don't have to agree with me, like, just because people are watching. But thank you for agreeing with me even though people are watching. Okay? Right. Like, I hope my brothers feel like when I'm there with them, that I'm there for them. I hope that my wife and my children and. And my granddaughter and my son in law and my mother in law and the people in my family, I hope those of you who come to this Bible study live, those of you on YouTube, those of you on Zoom, I hope y' all can feel that when I'm here doing this, I am here at the service of you. Like, that's my desire. God knows that's my heart's desire. I don't need to be. I don't need. I don't need to be better than you. In fact, can I tell you a little secret? I already know I ain't better than you. I know I ain't.
I ain't trying to be better than you. But if I can make your light shine brighter, please let me. Please let me help you make your light shine brighter. So the principle of service, like, show up with a heart that seeks to serve, not just a heart that seeks to be served. Now, in full transparency. Now, if I'm paying somebody to provide me a service, I'm expecting that service. I ain't tripping.
Right? I can't. Like, I'm not gonna go. I'm not gonna go to Eddie V's and order, like, a filet mignon and some Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. Y' all gonna bring me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and I'm cool with it, right? Like, I am not confused. Right?
But I'm gonna Take. I'm gonna tell you the truth. This is real. This is real talk. I go to restaurants. I go to lot of the same restaurants over and over. Servers fight over me, the opportunity to serve me, because they know I'm gonna treat them good. I'm gonna treat them like a human being. Like, they're every bit as important as me. And I'm gonna take real good care of them because I know they're gonna take real good care of me. By the way, did you know that TIP is an acronym that stands for to ensure promptness?
Yeah, it's so funny. Like, one of my tipping principles that I use when I'm going to a restaurant is, like, if I take a bunch of people out to dinner, minimum tip you're gonna get if you give me good service is $10 per person in my party, minimum tip. And that has to equal at least 20% of the meal. Sometimes it's more. If I go eat by myself and they give me good service, worst case scenario, they're gonna get a $10 tip. I don't care if it's only. I only pay $13 for the food. I don't care. Why? Because I want them to know I'm there for them. I want them to know that I see them and they are not invisible to me because they wait tables.
I'm telling you, it'll change your life. It'll change your life when you start showing up to serve instead of showing up to be served. Okay.
I ranted enough on that one. Let me go to the next point. I think y' all got it. Principle number two is the principle. This is a principle to create wealth. Solving problems for other people. Like solving problems. The principle of service. Principle of serving people. The principle of solving problems. Okay, what's the principle of solving problems? You want to start a business, find something that you're really good at that a large number of people are bad at.
And then you show up and provide that to them as a service, or you teach them how to do that thing better so they're no longer bad at it, and then you charge them. Change the game. Change the. That's all I do.
I was doing a group coaching call for David Chan's morning meetup this morning, and I was doing this group coaching call. And so I took one guy who was there. He sells cars. He sells about. About 30 cars a month. And I showed him a business that can make him. I literally broke down step by step for him. Here's how you take what you're doing. Now. And your competence, which is selling cars, and you turn it into $128,000 a month business. And he's like. He's like losing his mind. Told him, step by step, this is what you do.
Why? Because that's something I figured out. I figured out how to scale businesses. That's something I'm really, really good at. I'm not saying I'm really. Oh, Myron, don't hurt your hand. No, I'm not patting my. Like, it's one of the things. Like, I cannot dunk a basketball. But I love watching John morant videos on YouTube. I can't dunk a basketball. I can't fly over people. Right? I can't do everything. But the things I can do, I'm good at, right? The things I'm good at, I'm good at the other stuff. Yeah, not so much, right?
So if you're good at something, there's. It's not pride to say you're good at something you're good at. That's not pride. That's just awareness.
It's not, certainly not pride to act like you're not good at something you are good at. That's kind of goofy.
Right? And prideful. You want people to think you're being humble, so you're acting like you're. You're acting like you're not good at something you know you're good at. That's all of it is pride. You're fishing for compliments. Oh, I'm not that good. Yes, you are. I'm not. Say it again. Say it again.
Let's don't go there. Right? Let's don't make it like that. Right? So solve problems for other people. Maybe. Maybe you're really, really good at making food taste good. Now everybody doesn't care about whether the food tastes good. How do you know? I've eaten food by some people who made it. They don't even care.
It's like driving a car to the gas. They fill her up. Like, car can't taste the gas. I can't taste the vagina. Nothing like eating water, right? I didn't know you could eat water. No, this is eating water, right? So. But some people are good at making food taste good, right?
Maybe that's your. Maybe that's your jam. You can't make any money. Ask Rachel Ray. Ask Rachel Rick if you can get become a millionaire cooking food.
I'm just curious. I just ask a lot of questions. Ask Oprah Winfrey. Ask Oprah Winfrey if you can make money asking questions.
I think she became a billionaire with a B. Billionaire, B baby. Asking questions. What are you good at? Are you curious?
Are you, like. Are you, like, insanely curious? Maybe you're good at asking. Maybe you're good at playing a musical instrument.
Whatever it is, figure out your thing that you're good at. Solve that problem for other people and let them pay you. It's not hard. Like, solve problems for other people. So let's look at Solomon again, because we looked at him already. Let's look at him as our example for today. First Kings, chapter 10.
And verses 1 through, I think, 5. Here's what it says.
And when the Queen of Sheba had heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, she came to prove him with hard questions. Oh, she came to prove him with what? Hard question? What kind of question? Hard question? I ain't got no easy question. Your kingdom is running so well. All the nations around the world are hearing about how well your nation. I came to find out if they lied or not. So she asked him some hard questions. And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels and the bare spices and very much gold and precious stones. And when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart about the what hard questions. And Solomon told her all her questions. There was not anything hid from the king, which he told her not. Huh. Sounds like he solved all her problems, doesn't it? And when the Queen of Sheba had seen all of Solomon's wisdom and the house that he had built and the meat of his table and the sitting of his servants and the attendance of his ministries and their apparel and his cupbearers, and the ascent by which he went up into the house of the Lord. There was no more spirit in her. What does that mean?
He took her breath away. Huh. That's pretty cool. He solved her problems so greatly that he took her breath away. Wait a minute. What happens next? Verse 6. She said unto the king, it was a true report that I heard in my own land of thine acts and of thy wisdom. Howbeit. I believe not the words until I came, and mine eyes have seen it. And behold, the half was not told me. Thy wisdom and thy prosperity exceeded the fame which I heard. Hey, did you hear what she just said? Your wisdom is not like I didn't come to you. And the experience was lower than the expectation. The experience was higher than the expectation. It's okay for your wisdom to precede you. It's not okay for your wisdom to exceed. It's okay for your reputation to proceed you. It's not okay for your reputation to exceed you. Like, when people experience you, it should be a bigger wow than when they heard about you.
Wait a minute now.
Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, verse 8. Which stand continually before thee and hear thy wisdom. Blessed be the Lord thy God, which delighted in thee and set thee on the throne of Israel. Why did the Lord set him on the throne of Israel? Because the Lord loved Israel forever. Do you realize that God wants to bless you because he loves the people you were sent to serve? Which means, guess what? If you don't love the people he sent you to serve, you forfeit the blessing.
Because the Lord loved Israel forever, therefore, man made he. Where was I?
Because the Lord loved Israel forever, therefore made he the king to do judgment and justice. And she gave the king 120 talents of gold and spices, a great store and very precious stones. There was no more such abundance of spices as these which the Queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon. Okay, so he didn't just solve her problems, he solved her problems. And then she paid him. Which we're going to bring us to the next, which is the last point. You serve. People solve problems. And then.
The last one is, oh, you sell profitably.
She paid him for solving her problems. Watch this. Now, here's what it says. 120 talents of gold. You know what my problem with that is? What's your problem with it? I'm going to pull out my calculator. What's your problem with that? When you read 120. Okay, let me ask you this question. Let me ask you a question a different way. How much is 120 talents of gold? A lot. But specifically, how much is it? I don't know. Right. Unless. What? I can't know how much 200 talents is unless I know how much one talent is. So first thing, I got to figure out, how much is a talent of gold? Well, I did some research and found out that a talent of gold, depending on whether it was a Babylonian talent, a Roman talent, an Assyrian talent, it weighed somewhere between 68 and 74 pounds. So if we take 74 pounds, 74 pounds. Okay, 74 pounds times 16 ounces, 74 pounds times 16 ounces, that is one talent of gold was 1184 ounces of gold. She brought to him 128 of those. So times 120. I mean, 120 of those. 120, that equals 142,080 ounces of gold. If you multiply that times the current price of gold, which I don't know what that is, but I'll look it up. Since we got all this stuff on our phone, everything's available at our fingertips these days, so currencies. Gold is right now at $1778 a pound. So I multiply that. I mean an ounce. So I multiply that times 1778. And that tells me that the Queen of Sheba paid King Solomon $252,618,240 for that consult.
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. Why was she willing to pay him that much to solve her problems? Because she had big problems. Hey, here. Hang in there with me now. Y' all ready? Y' all ready? The bigger the problem, the bigger the paycheck.
That's why. When I'm looking at who I want to sell stuff to, I want to sell stuff to people who have a big problem and pockets full of money.
It makes the whole thing easy. Like, let's say. Let's say I have an agency, right? I have an agency, and I generate clients for businesses. So if you have a pizza business and you sell pizzas and you sell all your pizzas for $15, and I charge you $15,000, you got to sell a thousand pizzas just to pay me. But what if you're a cosmetic surgeon and your average surgery is $15,000? You only have to make one sale to pay me. So if I can bring you 10 sales a month, would you pay me 15,000amonth? Sure. You would? What if I get 10 cosmetic surgeons to pay me 15,000amonth, that's 150,000amonth. Oh, that's how people get rich. That's how people get rich. Solving big problems for big markets with people who have big money.
Say, Myron, I want to help broke people. Good. After you go solve the big problems for the big markets that have big money, then you go do that as a ministry. Amen.
Like, we got folks here in this Bible study. Have I asked. Have I ever asked any of y' all to donate any money to my ministry ever? Not one time. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, but I've never asked you to do that. Why? I don't need you to. I ain't worried about my grandbaby getting too skinny. Cause she ain't got nothing. I ain't worried about none of that. We I right. Why? Because I saw big problems for big markets. With people with big pockets full of money.
Isn't it amazing how simple the truth is? And it's in the. It's in the Bible. Okay, the last point. Ish.
So we serve people.
That's one principle of creating wealth, Solve problems, sell profitably. How do I sell profitably? Let's look down at verse number 23. First Kings, chapter 10, verse number 23. So King Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom. For what? Riches and for wisdom.
And all the earth sought Solomon to hear the wisdom which God had put in his heart, who sought to Solomon all the earth. Guess what? If you will allow God to put his wisdom from his word in your heart, people gonna come looking for you.
Cash in hand. My people.
Like all I know it's gonna sound all I like. I don't. In business, I don't necessarily teach the Bible, but I teach the principles from the Bible. That's all I teach my clients. I just teach, like, literally, I teach my clients how to do what's in First Kings, chapter three, and First Kings, chapter 10, and 2 Chronicles, chapter nine. I teach my clients how to do that, and they go get paid. And then they pay me a lot of money to teach them that. And they had a Bible.
That's so funny. Okay, it says all the people of the earth. Okay, let me ask you a question. If all the people on earth came to you and only paid you $1, how much money would you have?
8 billion. $8 billion. If every person on earth came and paid you $1, you'd have 8 billion. If one every person on earth came to you and paid you $10, you'd have 80 billion.
Big problems for big markets. All the people on earth came to Solomon to hear his wisdom. Which people? All the people. All of them? All of them. Now let me ask you a question. Could King Solomon talk to all the people on earth one at a time? So what do you have to do? He had to assemble them. Solomon communicated to crowds. There are cathedrals and arenas in the ancient world that hold 10,000, 13,000, 25,000 people. You stand down on the ground and then these. In these.
Amphitheaters, you can talk on the bottom with no microphone. And everybody can hear you all the way up to the top row.
Solomon did seminars before Tony Robbins ever thought about it.
We think we got all these new ideas. Hey, guess what?
I don't know if there's a coliseum big enough to hold all the people in the world, but this thing right here, this YouTube thing.
You let God pour some wisdom from his word in your head. And you get on this YouTube thing and you start spitting it out. How does. She. My Cousin. She on YouTube watching me right now. She my cousin. I know her. I don't know Sadani. I don't know you. I don't. Cynthia Jackson. I don't know Cynthia. M.K. i don't know M.K. curtis. I don't know Curtis. Diana Riley. I don't know. I don't know these people, but they found me. What'd I do? All I did was I taught the wisdom that God put in my heart, and these people found me. You say, I know what you are thinking.
Y' all are thinking, yeah, Myron, but all the people, they might know you, but they ain't paid you. That's okay. They don't have to pay me because YouTube pays me. Because they found me.
I did the calculations. I did the calculations yesterday. Well, Marima did it. The calculations. I can't take credit for somebody else's work. I've been paid over $168,000 this year since February 1st of this year from YouTube.
For running my mouth, man. You better start talking. You better tell your mouth. Put his running shoes on. You better start running your mouth. Okay. Now. Sell profitably. You say mine? Yeah, but it says they came to hear. It doesn't say that they paid him. Okay, cool. Well, that's because you got to keep reading. They brought so all the earth, verse 24, sought to Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart. And they brought every man his present. His present. Vessels of silver and vessels of gold and garments and armor and spices and horses and mules. A rate. A what Rate? Year by year continuity program.
Guess what? I got my entire business model from that chapter. I want you to think about this. King Solomon was a consultant to his contemporaries. What did he do? Other kings, other monarchs came to him and paid him to learn what he knew about running a kingdom. Which kings came to him? All of them. Go read 2nd Chronicles, chapter 9. It says all the kings of the earth came to Solomon and paid him to learn his wisdom. Not only that, after they came and learned from him, they didn't want their people to revolt. So guess what they did? They sent their people to go listen to Solomon. Guess what happens. I got people in my inner circle who sent me thousands and tens of thousands and hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of business. Why? Because they learn so much, you say, where'd you learn that? Where's he at? Where's he at where he at? Wait, where? Right.
We spend all of this time trying to make something happen when all we have to do is apply the principles and let it happen. Because the principles can only do what the principles can do. And by the way, nothing else can do what the principles can do. Just apply the principles. Principles don't care. Don't care who you are. Don't care how old you are. They don't care what color you are. They don't care if you're a man or a woman. They don't care if you're a boy or girl. They don't care. They don't care what country you live in. All principles always work the same for everybody. So if you want to apply the principles in the blessing of the Lord that maketh rich, serve people, solve problems, and sell profitably. Stay blessed by the best. Like Comment Subscribe Go watch those other videos I recommended. You want to watch the one about the camel and the eye of the needle? Why a Rich Man can't get into Heaven. That's what that one's called. That's the one about the rich young ruler and the children. You want to watch the one about.
All of you should go watch the one on why evil people are rich. That'll change your life. But then go. If this is your first time you ever saw me, then go watch the other first two videos we did in the series. We're going to have another video, Part four next week and then part five. And then I think we're going to be done with this series on Riches are a blessing from the Lord. So in the meantime, in between time, stay blessed by the best my people. I'll see you all next week.
