The Law Of Sowing And Reaping

A transcript of a talk by Myron Golden explaining the biblical principle of sowing and reaping as the foundational "law of laws" for success and happiness. Golden argues that thoughts, words, deeds, and dollars are all "seeds" that produce corresponding harvests; he combines scriptural citations (Galatians 6, Philippians 4, Isaiah 55, Genesis) with practical advice on intentional thinking, speech, giving, investing in self and business, and the 10x mindset for growth.

I am going to share with you the law of laws for success and happiness. And believe it or not, it's in the scriptures. It's, it's amazing when you start thinking about this law. I mean, we know about all kinds of laws. We know about the law of gravity, you know, we know about what goes up, must come down. We know about the law of polarity. For every action there's an equal and opposite reaction. We know about the law of energy conservation, which is everything is energy. Energy neither created or destroyed, just changes form. We know about entropy. An object at rest will remain at rest until unless it's acted upon by an outside force. We know about that. We know about the law of momentum. And object in motion will continue in motion until unless it's acted upon by an outside force. But the law of laws is the law we're going to look at today. This is like the law of laws for success and happiness. You say, Myron, what could the law of laws be? I'm going to read it to you. It's In Galatians, chapter 6. In Galatians, chapter 6 and beginning with verse 6, we're going to read down to verse 10. Here's what it says. Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. That word communicate could be translated into our modern day word compensate. Okay. Just so you know, it's talking about, talking about, like if somebody's teaching you the word and it's benefiting your life, then you sow into their life. By the way, I don't need any money from anybody here or anybody online, so don't. So like that's not the point. So nothing at all? It's not even close. Okay. Just telling you what it means. Okay. Then it says, then it says, be not deceived. God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. So it's really interesting.
On a video a couple of weeks ago when I was teaching on.
Something I said, I said if somebody who worked for me, if I found out they were committing adultery, I would fire them, right? Because if their own spouse can't trust them, how can I trust them? Right? So somebody made in the comment, somebody made a comment under that video, which is fine because I love feedback, right? Because feedback is breakfast champions. If you're scared of feedback, you can never improve. Right? And so somebody said in one of the comments, so you'd fire David because David committed adultery.
But God showed him grace. Well, God did show him grace. God did show him grace after he confessed, which didn't happen right away, right? He had to be confronted before he repented. And even though he repented and God showed him grace and referred to him as a man after God's own heart, we can talk about all of that at another time. Even though that's the case, what most people don't understand is he suffered many consequences as a result of that action. So in fact, when Nathan came to him and told him that, gave him the parable and he said, the man that has done this thing shall surely be put to death and he shall repay fourfold, right? Well, the fourfold judgment of David was the baby that Bathsheba conceived died. So David killed somebody. David killed one man, Uriah. Now the baby died.
Right? Now, as if that's not bad enough, David committed adultery, took another man's wife. So guess what? One of David's sons raped his half sister.
What? But not this. That's twofold. Then.
One of David's other sons.
Killed the half brother that raped his whole sister.
And then one of David's generals killed that son. He paid fourfold. So it wasn't like God gave him grace and he didn't have to suffer any consequences of his actions. You have to suffer the consequences of your actions. Because.
Every action has a built in consequence. And if it's a negative action, the consequence is going to be negative. If it's a positive action, the consequences are going to be positive. How many are tracking? Wave at me, my people. So what we have to do is we have to understand God forgiving me is not the same as the situation forgiving me.
Because God will forgive you, but the situation won't always forgive you. You're not paying attention. When you're using a circular saw and you cut off a couple of your fingers, that circular saw can forgive you all at once to you you still got some missing fingers.
We have to understand that consequences, like actions have consequences. So be not deceived. God is not mocked. For whatsoever man soweth that shall he also reap. Why does it say God is not mocked? Because God wants us to understand that principles are his automation. He's not going to turn off his automation because you messed up. He's not going to turn off his automation because I messed up. The consequences are what the consequences are. And if you sow the seeds, you're going to reap the harvest. Okay, y' all tracking. And then it says, for he that soweth to his flesh shall of his flesh reap Corruption. That means. What does that mean? That means if you give your body the lowest part of you everything it desires, you are going to deteriorate and corrupt and die. Which is what, like most Americans. I don't know about other countries. There's other countries? Most countries in the west, but especially in America. Most Americans dig their grave with a knife and fork.
We put things in our body that do not feed life, but we put things in our body that feed death. And we wonder why we're not feeling good. You ain't feeling good because you ain't doing good.
Okay, we know food is Satan's secret weapon, right? Go watch that video. Satan's secret weapon. Change the game for you. Okay, so he that soweth to his flesh above his flesh corruption. But he that soweth to his spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing. Don't get tired of doing good things. Let us not be weary in well doing. For in due season we shall reap if we faint, not if we don't stop sowing. As we have therefore, opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them that are of the household of faith. What do we learn from this? We learn the law of loss. What's the law of loss? The law of sowing and reaping. You reap what you sow. I reap what I sow. We all reap what we sow. It's fascinating to me how much the Bible talks about gardening and farming. You ever think about that? It's fascinating. God puts man on, like, puts man on the earth. Where's he putting. Puts him in a garden. Jesus goes to pray before he's crucified. Where does he go? He goes to a garden. Jesus told parables about farms and parables about trees and parables about sowing seed. Some falls.
Thorny ground. Some falls by the wayside. Some falls on stony ground, but some falls on good ground. Like, you reap what you sow. We all reap what we sow. And in the context, it's really interesting that in the context it's saying, go do good deeds because you reap what you sow. But then it says, but don't forget, if you do bad deeds, you reap what you sow. So here's what we have to do. We have to be intentional about the seeds that we sow.
Because after we sow the seed, the seed is going to do what the seed does. How many? All tracking. So what I got to do is I've got to make sure that I decide in advance the kinds of seeds I'm going to sow. Why? Because after I sow them, they're going to produce something. Now what are they going to produce? Depends. What kind of seed are you going to sow? So before I tell you about the law of sowing and reaping, let me talk to you about the seed.
Because here's something that most people don't realize. We're going to start with this one. Every thought.
Is a seed.
And the thought seeds you're sowing are producing the thought harvest you're reaping. Literally, the things you are thinking today are a result of the things you were thinking earlier today or things you were thinking yesterday or last week or the week before. So if I want my present to change, the thought seeds that I sow about my past have to change. By the way, that's not coming from somebody who's never been through anything. I've been through a lot. But here's what I've learned after going through a lot. I was born second of seven brothers to hard working, poor parents. We grew up poor. So I was born and grew up poor. How poor were we? We were poor. I never saw my parents buy a new car until after all of us had graduated and moved off and we're on our own. My parents never bought a new car ever. In my whole life growing up, I never saw a new car in our house. In our part, in our. I was going to say in our driveway. We didn't have a driveway in our yard. Right. We never saw one. Not one time growing up, okay, we were poor.
We had some, some not. I mean, my parents were amazing, but they had their issues because they grew up in difficult times. Right? So we had some dysfunctional family dynamics sometimes, right? That's part of it. Oh, that was so terrible. It wasn't terrible. Just because something's painful doesn't mean it's terrible.
Right? Everything that feels good ain't good and everything that's good don't feel good. You don't believe me, go exercise. Tell me how good you feel after that. That's a principle, though. Everything in life, everything that feels good is not good and everything that's good doesn't feel good. And what we have to do is we have to learn how to do the things that don't feel good on the front end so we can reap the harvest that feels good on the back end.
So.
Every thought is a seed. I have to become intentional about the things I think. How do I become intentional about the things I think I need to think about the things that God told me to think about.
How do I know what God told me to think about? Go read Philippians, chapter 4, verse 8. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, Whatever things are honest, Whatsoever things are just. Whatsoever things are pure. I want you to notice the order of the things. Whatsoever things are pure. Whatsoever things. Then he says, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report. Oh, so notice he talked about whatsoever things are pure, Whatsoever things are just. Whatsoever things are honest, Whatsoever things are true. Then he says, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report. If there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things. He talked about virtues.
Before he talked about beauty. Whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report. Well, here's what we got to do. We got to think. We have to think from a perspective that is pure and just and honest and true. Because if we don't, there can be no lovely. There can be no good report.
Are you tracking? So I want to think about the things that God told me to think about. Wow. Okay. That's cool. Every thought is a seed. So if I think I'll never be able to do that. Where'd that come from? Didn't come from God. In fact, it's so interesting. Every time I think about this, and it expands. There are layers and layers and layers and layers. Every time I think about this, it's really interesting that.
When God talked. When God put man here, he put us here as we were, to become more than we were. Like when God created three categories in creation, he created creation. The stars, the moon, the trees, the water, the grass, all that. That's creation. Then he created creatures, right? The dogs, the cats and the alligators, the giraffes and the monkeys and chimpanzees. And then he created creators. Well, when he created creation, creation was what it was, and that is all that it can be. When he created creatures, those creatures are what they are, and that's all they can be. When he created creators, he created something that could be becoming more like him. So every day of our lives, we can be becoming more. But in order for us to do that, we have to be thinking, right? We have to be thinking, right? Thinking. What does that right thinking look like? It looks like I'm thinking the thoughts that God told me to think. By the way, when you learn to think the thoughts that God told you to think and you learn to see things from his perspective, you will have an advantage over everybody that only has an earthly perspective.
Why? Because the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then it's peaceable, then it's gentle, then it's easy to be entreated. So without partiality and without hypocrisy, so it's first pure. Notice the order again, right? So if I'm thinking the way God wants me to think, then yeah, I'll take input from man. As long as the input from man lines up with the input from God, then I can keep going in that direction. But as soon as the input from man contradicts the input from God, then I got to let that person go. Usta la vista, baby.
Right? So every thought is a seed. So I want to make sure that I am not sowing seeds of weeds in my mind.
Right? What do I mean, sowing seeds of weeds? I'm talking about things that strangle and choke down my desire to be becoming more. Those are seeds of weeds.
In fact, the word for man. The word for man is the word adom Aleph dalid mem. What is aleph Dalad mem. That's Adam. Well, what's interesting is the aleph part. This is this letter that represents God. Daled mem is blood.
And we know that the life of the flesh is in the blood. So what is a man?
We are a godlike creature, flesh and blood. And what we should seek to do is we should seek to make the lower part of us the flesh and blood part of us, more like the God part of us, and make sure that it stays yielded to the God part of us. We want to make sure this stays down here. We never let that get up there.
We can make like. Isn't it interesting? Okay, you remember the story of Gideon, right? So the story of Gideon, God says, okay, take the men down to the river and let them get some water. They go down, he said, and anybody who puts their head down and drinks like an animal, you send them back. But the people who lift their food to their. I mean, their water to their face, we're going to take those people. There are only 300 people who drank their water like this. Well, did you ever notice, like, animals lower their face to their food, but humans, we elevate our food to our face. It's a picture that the lower part of us sacrifices to the higher part of us. So this body serves this head.
And then this body serves my head, which is Christ. So it's a picture, right? Eating is a picture of an offering. I'm making sure. This offers to this. So this knows that this is in charge.
Okay. So every thought is a seed. Well.
It'S not all. Every word is a seed. Every word that comes out of my mouth is a seed that I'm sowing into the garden of my future. And here's what's really sad. You can sow a bad seed of a word in somebody else's life that you forget about and they hold onto it for decades.
That's why we have to be very intentional about the words we use when we're talking to other people. Here's what the scripture says. It says, let your words.
Be with grace seasoned with salt that it may minister grace unto the hearers. What does the word grace mean? A gift. The words that we speak should be like a gift that we give. Are the words that you speak like a gift that you give? Here's what I've discovered. The more familiar we are with somebody, the less intentional we naturally are at giving words that are like gifts. Because when we're with like people that we're more familiar with, we have higher expectations of. And so oftentimes what we do is we tend to voice our expectations of them more than we voice the edification of them. But voicing the edification of them will help them fulfill more of the expectations we have of them. How do I know that? Because it's in the Bible. Like, I'm not making any of this stuff up. Here's what the scripture says. As a finding pot for silver and as a furnace for gold, so is a man unto his praise. It doesn't say so is a man unto his ridicule. It doesn't say so is a man unto his criticism. It says, so is a man unto his praise. As a binding pot for silver furnished for gold. So as a man unto his praise. What does that mean? When you find somebody doing something good, make sure you acknowledge them. They'll do it again. There's a saying in multi level marketing industry. Babies cry for it, grown men die for it. What is it? Recognition.
People don't want to just do a good job. They want to be acknowledged for doing a good job. And if they do a good job and you pay them for doing a good job and don't tell them they did a good job, it's not the same thing. It doesn't feel as good. So every word is a seed. And we want to make sure that the words that we speak into the lives of other people are good seeds that we're sowing into their life. How can I sow a bad seed of a word into your life and then expect to reap a harvest? That's why I think these. And I know there are a lot of people who disagree with me about this. That's why profanity is so bad on so many levels. It's like people curse at their kids. What are you doing?
What are you doing? Are you trying to destroy their life?
They're a small garden, and you're sowing the seeds of. Of profanity into that gift.
People go and they listen to these speakers and they cuss them out from the stage. I'm like, I ain't fixing to pay you to cuss me out. Now.
I'm sure there are plenty of folk in this world cuss me out for free, right? I ain't fixing to pay you to cuss me out.
Where am I? Right? And now it's just how people talk. We don't and don't even notice it. You may not notice it consciously, but your subconscious always notices it.
And by the way, not just cursing, just negative talk in general, right? Oh, that's all that's. That's the best you could do for an outfit today? Like, there are people who talk to people they know. Like, come on now. Y' all know there are people who talk like that.
Right? Why do you always have to do that? That's caught. That's an exaggeration. Nobody always does anything.
Right? Right. And so all I'm saying is. All I'm saying is we need to make sure that the words we speak are encouraging words, and we act, and here's what we do. We go. But the world's. That's all. Pollyanna. No, the reason we need to speak words of life into people is because there's tragedy and there's death and there's pain everywhere. The world doesn't need more pain.
So the words that we speak, this is the law of laws. The words that I speak are seeds that I sow. If I'm going to sow a seed into your life, I want that seed to be a seed that produces something good.
Well, the words. Every word, every thought is a seed. Every word is a seed. It's really interesting. I forgot about this experiment. Somebody said they took some rice, like as an experiment from Dr. Yamato's book on hidden messages in water, they took some rice. They took rice and the same rice in the same bag, put it in some water and put it in a thing and then wrote, like, kind, encouraging words on one container. And negative words on the other one. And the one. The one that they wrote the positive words on stayed fresh. The ones they wrote the negative words on, like began to rot and ferment.
Rice and water. Can't read as far as we know. They can't think as far as we know. They can't see as far as we know. But yet they can pick up the energy of negative words. That's fascinating to me, that we think that we can say a word and it doesn't matter. In fact, words matter so much that matter is made out of words. In the beginning was the Word, and the word was God. And the word was with God. And the same was in the beginning with God. And all things were made by Him. Without him was not anything made that was made. You say, oh, yeah, that's the New Testament. Okay, well, let's go back to the Old Testament. And God said, let there be light. And there was light.
God's words. In fact, it's the glory of God to conceal a thing. It's the honor of kings to search out a matter. Guess what the word thing and the word matter are the same word in Hebrew. Guess what that word is. Debar. Guess what the word debar means. To speak the word for thing. A thing and the word for matter are the word to speak in that verse.
So interesting.
I guess it's interesting. If you're interested, right.
If you're not interested, it might not be all that interesting.
It's really interesting how the king's job, according to the word of God in Deuteronomy, was he was supposed to take a notebook and a pen and the scrolls of the Torah, and he was supposed to study the word of God all day so that when he had a case to try, he would always judge in righteous judgment.
That's called a clue. Every word, every word is a seed that I'm sowing into the garden of my future. Every deed is a seed. Every dollar is a seed. Every. Every penny that I spend. Every penny that I spend in my life is a seed that I'm sowing. Now I know.
I believe that we should all support ministry. I believe that we should all support good causes. I believe we should all support charities. The one thing I don't do, I don't use the phrase giving back for giving to charity. I don't use that. I don't use the phrase giving back. Now, if I give something to God, I'm giving that back because I got everything from him in the first place, right? But I'm Giving to a charity. I'm not giving back. I'm just giving. I didn't take anything from the charity in the first place, so I'm not giving anything back. And the implication is. But here's why I don't like that phrase giving back. Because the implication is that by doing business and being an entrepreneur and creating solutions for people, you're somehow taking from society. Very few things could be further from the truth. So I'm not giving back. I'm just giving. And I'm okay with giving. And I love giving, right? But I ain't giving it back.
Just want you all to understand the direction we going, right? But every dollar is a seed. And so if I'm sowing good seed into the garden of my future, I'm going to reap a good harvest and I'm sowing good money seeds, right?
It's interesting how in the scripture, when God brought the children of Israel into the promised land, he gave them a plot of ground. That plot of ground was not just land for land's sake, it was land for the sake of a family establishing a family business. A lot of people didn't know that. Like God said, okay, what you're going to do is you're going to raise crops, or you're going to raise cattle, or you're going to raise something, some kind of livestock. And what you're going to do is you're going to give a tithe based on the production of your field.
Right? And so what's interesting is that people don't realize that before God commanded the children of Israel to give to the priests and Levites, he told them to sow the seed in their own land first. Because if you don't sow the seed in your own field, in your own business, if you don't invest in your business, if you're an entrepreneur, you're not going to have any seed to sow into a ministry. But if you do have an if you like, then you can have unlimited seed.
Sow better seed, reap better harvest. That's my granddaughter, I promise you. She's like on level 10 and it's all good. That's her deal. So wrap your mind around this. By the way, for those of you on YouTube, our studio, which is on the other side of our building, is being renovated. It looks like a bomb went off in there. So we're on the podcast studio side. My granddaughter has class here Mondays, Wednesdays, and Mondays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. So here I are. Okay, so anyway, so.
And they're having class in there right now, so it's a little loud, but it's okay. It's for the children. And this is. See, we're sowing good seeds into their lives. Okay, so, so, so the money that you sow. So one of the things like. So let me, let me give you a couple of the best, the two best places to invest money. Like, I mean, the S and P is great, right? The S and P is great. But I like what Alex Hormozi said, if you're not investing in the S&ME 500, it doesn't matter if you're investing in the S&P 500, right? And so like the best two places to invest your money. Number one is in your mind to learn something that you don't currently know. Number two is in your own business so you can grow something that you can't currently grow.
So, like, the difference between where you are right now and where you'd like to be is exactly the same as the difference between what, you know, what you haven't learned and implemented yet. It's exactly the same. I'm going to tell you something. So it's really mind blowing to me how like my very first wake up call financially for me was it's easier to make a lot of money in a short period of time. It doesn't make a little money over a long period of time. And I know there are people who watch my YouTube channel who think I'm the Antichrist because I talk about money. But the reason I talk about money is because your pastor didn't, okay? So I'm going to teach you about money because your pastor didn't, okay? And by the way, I had pastors who didn't teach me about money, right? The only thing they taught me about money was give it. Well, I'm not, there's nothing wrong. I'm not saying that's wrong, but show me how to go get some, I'll give you more.
Okay? That's all I'm saying. All I'm saying.
Like, I went to those churches for a long time that preached people into poverty, then hit them over the head for giving every other week. Like, which one is it? Right? If poverty is piety, how do I have something to give if wealth is wickedness?
You're sending mixed messages, okay? Anyway.
I digressed. I'm back now.
My very first major financial breakthrough happened in 1999, and it was. And I accidentally, without having a goal, without having a vision board, without having it written down, without reading it out loud seven times a day. I accidentally made $6200 in one week. And I was blown away. And I said, wow. Then I said it backwards, I said, wow. And I said upside down and backwards, I said, mom. Wow. Okay, so.
Apparently it's still corny funny. Okay, so I was blown away and I said, I can't believe how easy that was. And then I concluded that must mean it's easier to make a lot of money in a short period of time than it is to make a little money over a long period of time. And because I focused on that, I made a decision in 1999 that I'm going to stop looking at. Stop looking for all the hard ways to make a little bit of money. It's one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. I said, I am only going to look at from now on. I'm only going to look for the easier ways to make a lot of money. And I am here to tell you making a million dollars a year is easier than making $100,000 a year. Making a million dollars in a day is easier than making a million dollars in a year. And I know, I know it sounds crazy, but. But even if you don't understand it right now, at least allow yourself to ponder it, because that thought is a seed. Right? And so it's easier to make 10 million a year than it is to make a million. It's easier to make 15 million a year than it is to make 10 million. It's not a little easier. It's a lot easier, but it's the reason it feels so hard. How many are waiting for this part? This is the part. Okay. Right. Okay. It's way easier. The reason it feels so hard because you're trying to get there the same way you got here. What got you here won't get you there. In fact, most of the stuff that got you here you're gonna have to eliminate before you can ever get there.
It'll change the game. It'll change the game. It'll shift what you focus on. And so you sow the seeds, the right thought seeds. You sow the right word seeds. You sow the right dollar seeds and you make sure like you're. I know a lot about a lot of things. So I was telling you the story about make it easier, make a lot of money in a short period time than just make a little money over a long period of time. I was in Mexico this past week at a mastermind, and Dr. Ben Hardy was speaking Dr. Benjamin Hardy was speaking. He's the co author of who Not How. Which who not how changed my life. Like, the reason, the reason, the reason we were able to 10x like.
To triple our revenue from 2021. From 2020 and 2021, we were able to triple our revenue because of who, not how. I'm not saying because of the book who not how, but the book showed me who not how, but because of the concept of who not how. Everything that I thought I was stuck because I didn't know how. I stopped trying to figure out how and start trying to find a who. So all I need to do is find a who. I don't need to figure out how. I just need to find a whole. And see, like, for some of you in your business, you have the wrong who that you're serving and the wrong who that you're selling to. And so it doesn't matter if you sell to them. If you sell to them, it's still going to produce the same result you're getting. So you need to find a better who. So in full disclosure, like our business, and I probably should, but I'll tell you anyway, it is what it is. Like our business last year did $15.6 million, which is decent. But this year I'll be shocked out of my mind by the grace of God if it doesn't do at least 100 million. On the low end, you say, well, how do you go from 15 million to hundred million? You just, it's totally, it's totally. It's, it's. You sell to a totally different who.
From a totally different perspective to produce a totally different result.
Right. And so, but it's about the season now. So I'm in. I'm in. I'm in Mexico. And I already know. This is my objective. I already know what my goal is. I already know. And it's not, it's not even. I can't even really call it a goal. It's more of an objective. It's more of an, in my mind, more than a goal. It's more of a.
It's more of a.
It's an unavoidable occurrence. Right? Yeah, it's just like it is going to be. It's the result of where we're headed. The destination that we. On which we will land is the result of where we're headed. Right. So I'm not patting my, oh, Myron, you're going to make $100 million. Okay, whatever. The money's just. The money. Money's just the money, it's part of the game. And some people won't like that. I say it's part of the game, but it is part of the game. The difference between rich people and poor people is one of the differences is poor people work for money and rich people play a game for money. One of the differences just learn how to play the game. Anyway.
So I'm in Mexico and Dr. Benjamin Hardy speaking. He just wrote a new book called 10x is easier than 2x. I'm like, that makes perfect sense to me. And it just reminded me of it's easier to make a lot of money in a short period of time. It's make a little money over a long period of time. One of the things that he showed, and I'm not going to teach this concept on here, I haven't even read the book yet. But I want to show you something. He showed me or he didn't show me. He showed everybody who was there. And he said 10x is easier than 2x. He said, if this is 2x and this is 10x.
He said, he said this is the difference between 10x and 2x. This. I think I did it backwards. I think I did. I did it backwards.
Okay.
Okay. So right now.
20% of what you're doing is getting your current result. And by the way, 80% of what you're doing right now is waste. 80% of everything you're doing in your business is waste. Right? But for the, but for the people who 10x, what they do is they hyper focus on this 20%.
Right? And they're like, they focus on the 20% and then this 80%.
The reason people go from 10x to 2x is because they eliminate this. So here's what he said. 10x is easier than 2x has more to do with subtraction than it does with addition.
Or than it does with multiplication. So here's what's really interesting. Like you and then he gave the illustration. He said, you've already 10x'd. We've all done it. When you were born, you couldn't even walk. You could only crawl. Walking is 10x. It's not twice as good as crawling. It's 10 times better than crawling. Right? Learning how to ride a bike is not, is not two times faster than walking. It's 10 times faster than walking. Learn how to drive a car isn't two times faster than a bike. It can be 10 times faster than a bike.
So the more we eliminate the stuff that's not contributing to where we want to be. So he said what we do is we focus in the future on an outcome that we desire and we draw our energy in our direction from that. And so what I do is I look at my future outcome that I desire and I look at the stuff I'm doing right now that doesn't add to that. And so if I'm doing XYZ right now, I eliminate that and I'm doing something else that's not going to add to my 10x result. That's not okay, so I'll keep this one check, but I got to get rid of this one. And I'll keep this one check. And I got to get rid of this one. I got to get rid of this one. I keep that check. And so what I end up doing, what ends up happening is all of this stuff is eventually gone. He didn't say this part. I'm saying this part. All of this stuff is eventually gone. So eventually what happens is all of this is eventually gone. So the only thing I have left is the 20%. What happens when the only thing I have left is the 20%? It's no longer 20%, right? So now what happens is the 20% is now 100%. It's now 100%. But here's the problem. Now I'm in a new place.
I'm in a new place and 80% of what I'm doing now is wasted.
And so now I need to do less again to achieve more again. I need to begin to eliminate the things that are not going to get me to my next 10x. Right? I was blown away. I was blown away, literally how much easier a $15 million a year was than a $6 million year. And a $15 million a year was way easier than a $2 million year and way, way, way easier than a $1 million year. But it was very different. And see, the hardest thing that we ever do is cause ourselves to change.
Because we're familiar with the person we are who's achieving the things we're achieving. We're not familiar with the person we have to become to achieve the things we'd like to become. And so for most people, they would rather live in known hells than journey towards unknown heavens.
That's why most people say stuck like Chuck in a pickup truck, right? Because they're like, but at least I know where I'm at in Egypt. At least I know where I'm at in bondage. At least I know where I'm at. At least I know where, like I'm not in the wilderness. Here's what's interesting about the wilderness. Wandering of the children of Israel from the. From the. From the. From. From the time they crossed the Red Sea to the Promised land was an 11 day journey.
And it took them 40 years to go an 11 day journey. Why? Because they focused on distraction and ignored intention.
They sowed the wrong seeds. Guess what the two spies, Joshua and Caleb said, man. No. The 10 spies of the 12 said, yeah, man, the grapes are big and the honey's sweet and the milk is flowing. But man, them giants have six fingers on each hand, six toes on each foot. And we are in our own sight as grasshoppers to them. Them we're in our own sight as grasshoppers. See, your problem is you have a grasshopper perspective of yourself and God has a giant slayer perspective of yourself.
And when I start agreeing with God about who I am, then everything I'm supposed to be do and have, I'm gonna be doing. Have.
How many y' all tracking? And so what I've got to do is I got to sow better seeds. Now here's. Here's the best seed we can sow.
Do y' all remember in the Garden of Eden why God put the man there? To dress it and to keep it. Dress it means to cultivate. Keep means to protect. So God put man in the Garden of Eden to cultivate and protect it. How cool is that? Well, God made man from the dust of the ground, from the dirt. Isn't that fascinating to y'? All? Don't y' all find that fascinating? So God got these trees growing out of the ground. God goes and forms a body for man that's growing out of the ground. And then God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. The man became a living soul. When God breathed in the man's nostrils, what was he doing? I believe he was planting the seed of an aspect of God's creativity inside of man's. Inside of this dirt pot that is our body.
He literally planted the seed of an aspect of his creativity. Now, the aspect of his creativity in you is going to be different than the aspect of his creativity in me. The aspect of his creativity in me is going to be different than his aspect of his creativity in you. But I'm supposed to cultivate and protect the aspect of the creativity of God that he put in me. And you're supposed to cultivate and protect the one he put in you. That's why I don't have any competition. I don't have to compare Myself to you, because your assignment ain't my assignment. My assignment ain't your assignment. I can cheer you on while you go win, and you can cheer me on while I go win. Because when you win, I don't lose. And when I win, you don't lose. We can all win together and celebrate each other as we establish God's kingdom on the earth. That was the whole purpose. And so, because I know the seed of God's creativity is in me, what do I have to do? I have to cultivate it. How do I cultivate the creativity of the seed of God's creativity that he put inside me? How do I cultivate that in this garden that is Myron golden? How do I do that?
My ways are not your ways, saith the Lord. Isaiah 55. Are my thoughts your thoughts. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. And as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven, and it watereth the earth and maketh it bring forth in bud, the rain and the snow come down from heaven and make force the earth to bring forth in bud, so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth.
Oh, by the way, it says that it cometh down and the rain cometh down, snow from heaven, and watereth the earth, and maketh and bring forth in bud that it may give bread to the eater and seed to the sower. So the reason the rain comes down is so the earth will produce. And when it produces now, it can give bread to the eater, consumption to the consumer, seed to the sower, production to the producer.
Are y' all tracking? And here's what he said. And it will not return unto me void, but it will accomplish that which I please. God's word raining down in this life that is me. It will bring forth in bud like I like if I. If I let the. If I saturate the soil that is me with the word of the rain and the snow of the Word of God. The word of God will produce in me something I cannot produce in myself. It'll make it bring forth in bud. Why, that it may give bread to the eater. The people who want to consume will be able to consume because I produce something for them. And if I want to produce, I'll be able to produce because I produce something. And I've let the saturation of God's word rain down in my life. And here's what it says. Will not return unto me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing where unto I sent it.
I know. See, because the Bible has been preached from a religious perspective, people have missed the practical application of it. The Bible is not something for us to know and just feel, something for us to do. We're supposed to go do this thing, and when we go do it, like the blessings that come from it are undeniable. They are incontrovertible. Like they're unexplainable. There's no universe in which a guy who grew up poor.
In the ghettos of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Tampa, Florida, and Columbus, Ohio. Hey, for real. Kenny felt that one okay. And barely made it out of high school. I did great in school all the way through the third grade, and I went downhill after that for a long time. There's no way I can remember my high school guidance counselor telling me, I'm going to go to jail eventually. You're going to jail. No, he was not wrong.
He was not confused about the situation. If I didn't straighten up, I was not heading in a good direction. But you know what? There's no reason I should be here telling you about God's blessing. None of it makes any sense.
It's not supposed to make sense. It doesn't have to make sense. It's a God thing. Let his Word saturate your life from a practical perspective and do what he says and watch the blessings start pouring out of your life in ways that are unexplainable and undeniable and that in a way that only God can get credit for it. People think I'm smart. Smart enough to know there's somebody smarter than me. You say, martin, what do you. Dan Henry, one of my Internet marketing compadres, he. He said, dude, if you lost all of your illustrations and picture parables and principles, where would you. What source would you go to to get more? Two words. The Bible.
Period.
All of us can be greater than the physical aspect of us. We can be more than this.
Because if we allow. If we. If we allow ourselves to be saturated with the Word of God, the blessing is in the Word. If I get the Word in me, I can't be anything but blessed. It'll change your life. But see, here's what some of you are worried. But if I'm that $15 million, you can't go to heaven making that kind of money. No, no, no, no, no. People see, people don't understand. It's easier. No, people have misinterpreted mistaught. It's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Kingdom of heaven. By the way, that's true. It is true. But the problem is the people who've been teaching it didn't study it. Or if they did study it, they missed it. Now I'm going to tell you. I did an entire Bible study on why a rich man can't get to heaven. You want to understand what that passage means? Go find that YouTube video on why a rich man can't get to heaven. That's the thumbnail title. Why a Rich Man Can't Enter. No, it's why a Rich Man Can't Enter Heaven. That's what it's called. And I'm teaching it verse by verse so you'll know I'm not making anything up. Like I don't have an idea. And then go to the Bible to try to find a proof text. That's how so many preachers preach. Oh, this is a really good idea. Let me see if I can go find a Bible verse to match. I don't want to find a Bible verse to match. I want to teach What. Thus saith the Lord. That's the only thing. Me telling you something ain't gonna help you. I don't know enough, but God does, so I trust this will bless you. Stay blessed by the best, my peeps. Appreciate all my subscribers, all my watchers. Oh.
Oh, I'm. Not yet. Not yet. Not yet. Okay, so. So I appreciate y' all watching and subscribing and. And what's the other things people do? Liking and commenting and all that stuff and subscribing and notifying and YouTubey stuff. I appreciate y' all doing all that YouTubey stuff. Stay blessed by the best, my peeps. Peace out, cub scouts.
