A short YouTube monologue by Clegg (uploaded June 26, 2024) arguing that businesses fail because they lack sufficient momentum and speed to reach a "point of no return"—using the Cessna 172 takeoff as an extended analogy. The speaker stresses that inching forward prevents takeoff; sustained acceleration is necessary.

I'm going to tell you something that's probably not going to be fun to hear, but it'll help you. This is the real reason your business can't fly. As a student of flying airplanes, as a guy who sits in the pilot seat, I'm learning how to fly an airplane. I think a Cessna 172, which is the training plane, has to be going about 140 miles an hour to take off. And you got so much room on the Runway, and you go full throttle and everything's ready and you're going down the Runway and there comes a point on the Runway where the place you are and the speed you're going is the point of no return. You are either going to take off or you're going to crash and burn. And see, I think business is exactly like that. You have to have enough motion, momentum, and enough speed long enough down the Runway to take off, and there has to be a chance that you're going to crash and burn or there's no chance you can fly. And the reality is, most people's businesses never fly because they don't speed up to the point of no return. They inch up to it. And if you inch up to it, it's no longer the point of no return, but it's also the point, no longer the point at which you can fly.
