Look, become a leader that not only talks the talk, but truly connects with your people. Let's get real about what makes leaders different. And it's all about connection with your folks. There are three questions that every single leader should be able to answer and Maxwell said it best. Everyone communicates, but few connect. He understands that you cannot develop trust without connecting with your people. And those three questions that your employees are going to ask you. Number one, do you care? Number two, can you help me? And number three, can I trust you? The importance of the first question of do you care? Really speaks to the leadership's empathy and overall genuine interest in the well being of their employees. When leaders show that they care, they create an environment of respect and understanding, which the whole goal is to humanize leadership. Because when you do that, it boosts morale, employee engagement, which ultimately leads to retention. Now as an example, if you see an employee struggling, are you going to jump in and help them or at least offer your help? Or are you going to sit back and just let them struggle? Because that's how they learn. They learn through your support. Number two, can you help me? This is a direct question to your competence and do they have the confidence in your competence that you actually can help them achieve their goals? It's not just about having the key skills and it's also about your ability. And the best ability is your availability. Are you making yourself available to your employees? And number three, can I trust you? You guys know this trust is the keystone to every relationship. Without it, it doesn't exist. This really pushes to the need of leaders being trustworthy. Are they honest? Do you have high integrity? Are you reliable and transparent? When employees trust their leaders, they're more likely to be open to take positive risks and be committed to the team goals. These three questions are essential because they directly impact the employee's sense of belonging. If you want an inclusive environment, it's important that they know that you care, that you can help them and that they can trust you. Please, like, comment and share.
