Why should we hire you? Okay, like, you invited me to the interview. Once you know this formula, you are going to wish that they ask you this. So here's how you do it. When they say, why should we hire you, you are going to say, well, based on my understanding of the role, you want someone who can do X, Y, and Z. Okay, so you basically start describing the role. You want someone to be able to lead onboarding, you want someone to be able to build this interface, whatever it is. Then you say, based on that, I in the past have done this. So now you're basically matching up your past experience to, okay, so I've also done onboarding in this way, and I blah blah blah, and, you know, I've built similar interfaces, blah blah blah, right? So now you're just matching up to those key things. And then this is the best part. You finish your answer and you say, is that how you see me in this role? Did I get that right of how I'm evaluating the role? And they go either yes, like, yeah, of course, like that, you painted the role perfectly. Or they might say, well, no, you kind of missed this and that. And now you are further discussing the role. And also, if you had maybe not such a good answer, you're actually getting a chance to improve your answer. Because if they said, well, you know, you didn't really say it right, okay, now you can say, oh, well, oh, I didn't realize that you wanted me to focus more on this. Well, I actually do have that experience. And now you're able to iterate.
