How To Create A Support System

Coach Troy Aberle on building a support system when making big changes. Expect family pushback as a test, not rejection. Share your vision with people who get it, create vision boards together, and accept that some family members won't come along.
Hey, everybody, my name is Coach Troy.
Hey, everybody, my name is Coach Troy. The topic I want to talk to you today is about how to create your support system. You know, as a lot of people that are going through my program, they often ask the this. You know, Troy, it's nice. I'm glad to step up here, take the thinking and the results program, you know, learn how to create and live a chapter two. But I also don't know, is my family going to be on board with me or are the people around me going to be on board with me? And the truth is, is it's exactly what everybody asks me, because people are all of a sudden going to be changing what it is that they. Their boundaries are, what it is, the expectations are. But what they really need to realize is you need to talk it through and share what your goals are and be okay with people questioning it and people giving you criticism or negativity, people telling you you're crazy. You know, it's all things that are inconvenient for them because it doesn't always align with their model of the world. So you need to be respectful of that, share your piece, be able to speak your mind and have clarity with what it is you want to do. Maybe it's, you know, reliving a childhood dream that you had when you were six years old and you wanted to become a firefighter, or you want to become a lawyer, maybe you want to go into construction or learn how to build houses, I don't know. But whatever that might be, you need to at least proclaim it to yourself and feel good about it and envision exactly that journey and how it's going to look. So I think the thing to do is with family that might not be as supportive. It's because they're testing you. They're also helping protect you. Because now this becomes inconvenient. They associate it to a whole pile of pain because they might not be worthy enough or step up enough to and be able to fulfill your human needs and theirs because of what it is that you're proposing. So here's what I would do. I would work together with them to build a vision board. A lot of people, you know, struggle with vision boards, don't really know exactly what they do, and they don't really trust the law of manifestation, all those things. I totally get that. But when people can see with pictures in their mind the life that you're trying to develop for yourself and for them, it really changes perspective. Because for a lot of people, they can't envision. They only see the pictures of what it is they go through each and every day. Dressing a certain way, going to work in a certain way, and having a complete regiment of everything that's going to go on throughout their day. What I would say to you is you need to be able to create those pictures.
Take a look at their pictures. You know, if you have four people in your family, build four vision boards so that together you all can achieve being able to see what each person really, really wants and seeing how you could align those things all together and be able to do it as one big happy team. For some people, it's going to take time. It's going to take, you know, struggle and explanation. But when people see, you know, the pleasure that's going to come from it and, or the pain that's going to come because you didn't do it, there's going to be, you know, definitely a shift in mindset. I think that when you, you know, go through a program like what Bob Proctor teaches and, and with the help of myself, we can definitely show you exactly how that's going to be. Be able to, you know, have lasting change, because we need to be able to explain to people the way that the paradigms work in every person in our family and in our surroundings. But the big thing is, is not just only working with those people, is looking for the other people who do believe in your goals, nurturing their goals and contributing to them so that they help contribute to yours. And that network is what's going to start to become viral and build a lot of energy and momentum. And when people who are your critics see that you're getting a lot more pleasure from other people who are going to be your comforters or your support team, they're going to also want to be on that team. Some people naturally won't be able to be on your team or. Or won't want to be on your team. Maybe those people are in your inside family, whether it be your children, your spouse. Some people aren't ever going to be aligned with your goals. But you have to be able to say, you know what? That's okay. I'm aligned with my own goals. Here's the things that we can contribute to each other as a family. I want to help you get to your goals, too. And at some point, everybody seems to really, you know, have a lot of satisfaction in what each other's per. What each of you are doing. I take a look at, you know, so many families that I work with. It's not easy to get people all aligned. And that's okay. That's why we're all different. That's why we're all unique. And you're never going to find people that are going for the exact same outcome or goal. But when you can support each other and say, you know what, if I got to see you being able to achieve that, that would bring a lot of joy to me. And so rather than telling people that they have to change just because you're on this whole new chapter too, help help them develop their own new chapter by showing them the possibility of something that they could do. Ask more questions rather than telling them what it is that you think that they should do. Every person has a different model of the world. Everybody has a different story, Everybody has different strategies. And that's really what creates the paradigms that keep getting passed along generation to generation. So if you really want to build a great team, you want to be able to do that.
This is the steps that I would do. So please take a look at who's surrounding you, who's supporting you, who can you contribute to, and I look forward to serving you more here in the future.
