My Sons Have the Passion to be Kidpreneurs

Coach Troy (Troy Aberle) presents a personal case for "kidpreneurship": involving children directly in family business activities to teach entrepreneurship, responsibility, and value exchange. He gives concrete examples — his 12-year-old son Luke doing social media management and product reviews, and his 9-year-old son Everett creating thank-you systems and posts — and argues this prepares children for a changing economy. The video closes with a call-to-action to contact him and subscribe for more content.

Hey everybody, my name is Coach Troy.
Hello everyone, my name is Coach Troy. I want to talk to you about a topic that's really important for me and my family, which is kidpreneurship. You know, as we go through this entrepreneurial journey, most entrepreneurs or business owners, executives, the people I work with, all have one thing in common. They spend so much time in their own life and in their own story, working on their own projects and their own journey, they forget about the opportunity they have to include their entire family. You know, I get to work with my 12 year old son Luke, who as many people already know is a kidpreneur and he's doing social media management and he's working on product reviews of tech products and camping gear and he's having so much impact on my business and so many people around me and it's been a lot of fun. And why is he like that? It's because of the inspiration that I give him and the time that I take for him. I include him in everything that I do. My 9 year old son, Everett, he's working on systems to help me with thanking people, my customers, making up thank you cards and putting together different posts and reviews and things like that on YouTube. And we're all part of this journey, my wife as well too, and working on gifts and ways that we can make sure we're streamlining our message and having as much impact as we can. But I think what's so important for most people is really including your kids in your business. I talk about this so much and there's a couple reasons why. One is it is your duty as a good parent to make sure that you're inspiring your kids and teaching them everything that they can be, rather than just the blueprint of the way that, you know, government schools or colleges or programs and all that are just set to a structure. I think that you have more of an opportunity to teach them about things that they really can do and what is the possibility so that they can show up and actually become the teachers and inspire even more people. And I think that that's really important. Without that, we're going to have a consistent dying talent pool of people that are only going to be structured for an economy that was a long time ago, living in a box life. And as our times have changed and progress, you know, there's going to be way more opportunities for people who actually think outside of the box, who can, you know, be a visionary and develop more technology or come up with new ways of communicating or, you know, come up with new ways of teaching and learning and growing and being a part of that. That's what's going to create the new paradigms, which is, again from Bob Proctor, we. Which is a multitude of habits and beliefs. Those are the things that you're going to keep doing to be able to be attractive. You having this good attitude and communicating your goal and what it is that you want to achieve. And what's going to happen because of it is going to inspire your kids, it's going to inspire your family, and that's what's going to cause even more attention for other people around you. Well, how do I know that I have never met an executive yet that I've gotten the opportunity to coach that hasn't wanted to be able to spend more time with their family. I look at all the salespeople and the real estate professionals and, and the people who work in the automotive industry, and I don't. It doesn't matter which industry. They all say the same thing. You know, I wish I had more time with my family. I had more money, had more freedom to choose what I want to do, I want my health, better relationships, all these things. And it all boils down to. Because they're spending so much time just in their business hoping for that one outcome, telling you encompass your whole family, get your kids working on things already at a young age. There is no age to start. And what it's going to do for you is when you walk out the door of your office and you go to have that meeting with your clients, or you get the opportunity to go speak on stage or have an impact on somebody else. You're going to go there knowing you've left a home where people are inspired and they're doing things, they're growing. They're not just sitting on video games. Nothing against video games, because video games, by the way, is a way of creativity. It helps fulfill your child or yourself. It's how you fulfill your human needs. Because you get to feel significant by the scorecard or you get to build relationships with people in chat rooms and you feel certain that you're in a safe environment. All those things. But the truth is these are all things that are happening. So make sure that you're spending the time to show appreciation for your kids, involve them in your business, be able to develop them into kidpreneurs so that they can go out and really see the value and the significance of not a video game, but the significance of adding value to somebody because of a problem that they needed to help Solve that that child might be able to solve for them easily. They're going to feel significant for the thank you from the person. They're going to feel the significance from the money exchange. There's nothing wrong with earning money at 9 years old or 5 or 12 or, or 15, 20, whatever age. You should be able to exchange value for money. That's really all money is. It's the byproduct of an emotional experience. And when you can teach your kids to do that for other people, they're going to come from a place of giving and that's what's going to set them from a place of just taking and waiting for either their parents to show up or waiting for government assistance, or waiting for their employer to just give in and give them whatever they want. And that's what's tragically happening, I feel, in our world today. So kidpreneurship, to me is everything. I think it's something that should be in our schools, but it's not. So I want you to step up today, reach out to me. My kids even go through the thinking and the results program with Bob Proctor and we have a ton of fun being able to do this whole experience together. I want to show you exactly how we do that. Please reach out to me anytime. I'm here to help you. I want to make your family, you know, truly a magical experience. So for now, everybody, I hope this added value. My name is Coach Troy.
