Dallas Bragg tells people in recovery that boredom means your vision isn't vivid enough. Write how you want to show up as a friend, partner, worker, and community member. Then create sensory scenes for each role: where you are, what you say, what you smell. Rehearse them daily until the vision sticks.

A PSA to my guys in recovery who feel stuck or bored. When you think you feel bored, it is because you haven't created and latched onto a strong enough vision to move you forward. You aren't challenged enough. The remedy is to sit down and write out in much detail as possible how you want to show up in every aspect of your life— as a friend, as a partner, As a worker, in the community, and how do you show up to yourself? Who are you across those spectrums? Then use the 5 senses to create specific scenarios of you in those roles. Where are you? What are you saying? What do you smell? How does it feel? Create scenes that viscerally affect you in ways that imprint onto your subconscious. Then take each day, as often as possible, and relive those scenes. You are now creating momentum out of where you are into where you're going. You are calling out your future. This is manifesting, baby. Put down your phone and make this a daily habit, and I promise the boredom and the stuck feeling will disappear.
