All right, so let me tell you about my client. We will call him Roger. How he overcame active meth use. Roger was an isolator. He never used in the traditional chemsex sessions with others. His version of chemsex was locking himself up in his bedroom and watching hours of porn. For 2 to 3 days, he disappeared from the world. He didn't answer texts. He didn't answer calls. He allowed his work and personal relationships to suffer. Together, he and I put enough strict safeguards in place, such as blocking the apps, to make time and space away from the substance long enough so that he could function cognitively. You might be surprised about how long it takes for your thoughts, your emotions, to truly come back online after meth use. Once we stabilized and systemized his life, we began working together to pull back all the layers The limiting beliefs, inner critic voices, and other factors that all converged into pinpointing the cause of his use. He was living a life that was not authentic to him based on what he believed others wanted for him. This misalignment grew into depression and then the need to escape. Roger made big, brave changes in his relationships, being honest about his use And then he took the step to quit his job altogether and do what he really loved. This took us the full 6 months of my program, but today, Roger is happier and more fulfilled than ever. If you see yourself in this story, I want you to drop me a DM or a comment. You might be a fit for my coaching.
