Dallas Bragg and Speaker B discuss how society measures worth by sexual attractiveness, what they call a "fuckability meter." Bragg noticed this in recovery groups on Facebook, where people deemed more attractive got more attention, so he left. They argue a person's value shouldn't depend on sexual appeal.
Like your fuckability meter determines your worth, right?
And, and it's like breaking through that, right? Yeah. And like, those are old ways of being in the world and, you know, entering into a new paradigm where I'm so much more than my body or my sexual capital. Like, that's an important piece, right? But it doesn't have to determine who you are, your value, or your worth in the world. And I think A lot of times there's so many stakes put in that corner without even seeing the human behind it, the objectification and sexualization.
Yeah. Yeah. But how do we even in recovery? So I've, I have dropped out of some Facebook recovery groups because I noticed the more fuckable you are, the more attention you get.
