Holding Two Truths

In this solo talk, Dallas Bragg introduces a core exercise from his self‑development and recovery program called the “prophetic vision,” which serves as a personal North Star for becoming one’s highest version. He explains that many men entering the program are burdened by guilt, low self‑worth, and shame, often using the phrase “I am becoming…” as a reminder of perceived inadequacy. Bragg then presents the central principle that individuals must hold two truths simultaneously: (1) they are perfectly happy and content as they are, and (2) they are continuously striving to become a better, higher, more expansive self. He argues that true transformation requires peace with the present self; without it, growth stalls. Bragg contrasts a mindset of lack—where one focuses on what is missing and consequently attracts more lack—with a mindset of abundance, where contentment and peace attract further abundance. The talk emphasizes that adopting the abundance perspective fuels both contentment and ongoing personal expansion, offering a framework for recovery and personal growth.
