Dallas Bragg describes recovery as a spiral, not a line. Each time you face the same struggle, you're higher up with more tools. Ninety days sober creates real brain changes that don't vanish if you slip.

Progress is not linear. That's not a problem. Recovery is not a straight line from point A, active addiction, to point B, abstinence. It's a spiral. Something— sometimes you circle back to familiar territory, but you're never at the exact same place. You're higher up with more awareness, more tools, more self-compassion. Using after 90 days of being meth-free doesn't erase Those 90 days. During that time, your brain was healing. New neural pathways were forming. You were practicing being a different version of yourself. You got a taste for it. That work doesn't disappear because of one night or a series of nights.
