All right, I'm not fighting with you all in the comments anymore about this. I do not blame geosocial dating apps like Grindr, Scruff, Sniffies on crystal meth addiction. Nor do I say if you're on the apps, you're a meth addict. What I'm saying is, if you are recovering from crystal meth and you're a gay man, putting yourself on the apps increases the chances of relapse probably 25 times. Here's an analogy. If I have alcohol use disorder and I go to the grocery store, I'm in a place to meet my needs. If I purposely walk through the alcohol aisle, I'm setting myself up for danger. So if you're a gay man and you're on these apps to meet your needs, probably sexual, or you're lonely or something like that, that's fine. But if you're in early recovery and you feel like you're in a danger zone, why set yourself up by going on an app where crystal meth is so easily accessible? Now stop coming for me.
