In this instructional video, Dallas Bragg addresses the cycle of crystal‑meth (referred to as “Tina”) use among gay men, arguing that unrestricted access to dating apps such as Grindr, Tinder, and Sniffies fuels relapse. The core solution presented is a concrete, iPhone‑only method: using the built‑in Screen Time feature to block the download and use of these apps and to restrict triggering websites. The presenter walks through the Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions menu, selects the appropriate age‑restriction (12+) to block the apps, configures web‑content limits (unrestricted, limit adult sites, or allow only approved sites), and finally sets a Screen Time passcode that is managed by a trusted third party (roommate, friend) along with their Apple ID for recovery. This external accountability prevents the user from resetting the password and bypassing the block. The video also notes that the same restrictions may need to be replicated on a MacBook, as settings do not always sync. The overall message is that by removing easy digital access to hookup platforms, a user can break the cue‑response loop that drives meth use.

Which one are you more addicted to, Tina or Grindr? You are going to want to save this video because it contains the number one technique to break free from crystal meth for gay men, and that is blocking the apps and the sites from your phone. You guys come to me asking, why do I keep going back to Tina? But you still have access to Grindr. Well, that is your answer. A client of mine put together these step-by-step instructions for blocking Grindr and other apps and sites from their phone. You must have an iPhone to do this, and the most important part of this process is that you allow another person to set the password and supply their Apple ID so you can't work your way around it. Here they are. Enjoy and good luck.
Hey guys, uh, so this video here is going to show you how you can block any apps like, um, like dating apps, Grindr, whatever, any of those apps. Um, and I'll also show you how you can block any websites that may be triggering. So if that's Sniffies or Grindr Web or whichever one of those, um, this is what I will show you. So you're going to go ahead and open up Settings, and this is on the newest software. Some older software might look a little bit different, but still pretty similar. So you're going to scroll down to Screen Time, and in Screen Time you're going to look for Content and Privacy Restrictions. So you go ahead and click that, and this is where you can make all your edits. Um, so to block the apps, you're going to go into App Store, Media, Web, and Games. Here's where you can make your edits. So you're going to see Apps in this first list. You go ahead and select Apps. So mine is for 12 and up, so that's going to block out like Grindr, Tinder, Adam4Adam, Scruff, anything like that. So if that's selected, you won't be able to download them, and if they're already on your phone, then you won't be able to access them. So that's all you got to do for that. And you go back, and then they also have web content. So here you go to— you can have unrestricted, limit adult websites, only approved. I have limit adult, and then I have some that I give myself freedom on, and there are ones that I have for never to allow. So I also have some, um, some social media on here, uh, but you can choose whatever you want. Um, Party Town is not real. That is not a real place. Um, this is not my first time making this video. But anyways, go back. Um, that's pretty much gonna do it. Uh, that'll block any apps and websites, uh, And then you have to go back, and you're actually going to be setting a screen time password. So whether you ask a friend, I ask my roommate to have the password. You set the password right there, and you put in an Apple ID to recover it in case. Someone forgets, that way you can reset it. Obviously you don't want to use yours because that would defeat the purpose. Um, doesn't really help if you can reset your own password. So my roommate put her Apple ID, uh, and that is how you would do it. Let's skip that. Uh, and that is it. So if you go to put in Grindr and you try to download it, it's going to give you something like, something like this: due to restrictions set on this device, this app cannot be downloaded. I mean, you can't go on it. Um, sometimes it does not translate to a MacBook, so you might have to make sure you kind of do something similar on the MacBook Because the settings don't always sync over. So just be mindful of that, and it is that easy. Hope this was helpful.
