Dallas Bragg describes the Multidimensional Mark, someone whose heavy methamphetamine use leaves them unable to tell reality from hallucination, trapped in paranoia and delusional thinking that can persist even when sober. He urges compassion over shame and emphasizes the need for medical help.
Chapters
All right, this week's Tina archetype is Multidimensional Mark. Mark has experienced what he perceives to be the other side of the Matrix while high on Tina. There are connections that are unexplained, the same people showing up everywhere he goes, plots to record and study his every move. He has seen beyond the veil, and now, even while sober, he can't distinguish between reality and delusion. He is living in a constant state of fear, and he can't feel comfortable in his own home. He is questioning everything and thinks he is going crazy. If you are Mark, or you know a Mark, this is common with meth use. It can be a living hell to be in this state of mind, and unfortunately, sometimes there is long-term brain damage causing permanent psychosis-like behavior. If you are Mark, first, please do not call yourself crazy, and if possible, try to stop questioning if what happened was real or not. It is your reality. Please seek medical attention and especially a therapist who can help you untangle the weaving thoughts in your mind. And if you encounter Mark while you're using or while you're not using, please show him compassion. Do not shame him and please don't make fun.
