You know, I remember the very moment when I decided in my heart to leave meth behind. I was in the middle of a binger. I was sitting naked between 2 guys and we were scrolling Grindr like zombies. I happened to glance out the window between the hotel curtains. I spotted the sun peeking out through the trees. There was something about that moment and I said to myself, I'm done. Now, I had to have some more experiences with relapse after that before I was actually finished using, but that was part of my journey. It was necessary. But I made the decision in my heart that day. And when that happens to you, you know you're on the way out. Now the way out, that process may look very different than what you think it should look like. But you have to know when you make that decision, I'm done, you're on your way out.
