Most people in recovery have learned to measure their recovery by how many days abstinent they have. That's okay. That's one metric. I would argue it's not necessarily even the best metric. Mm-hmm. But I certainly know a lot of people who are doing better at 6 months of, uh, consecutive sobriety than people who are at 20 years. Mm-hmm. And I know people who are at 30 days who are doing really, really well, whereas there are other people who have been sober for a year and are miserable. A-holes who nobody wants to talk to, but they're sober. So they kind of use this badge of honor. And so I think we just, we just need to be a little smarter. I know we like simple answers, but sometimes the answer is just not that simple.
