So shame is the inner belief that I am bad. I think that sentence sums it up so perfectly. It's just, I am bad. In other words, I am broken. I am flawed. I am wrong. It's a lot of the messaging around like something is fundamentally flawed within me that I can't change, but I have recognized that I'm not, I'm not quote unquote okay in the sense of what people want, but I can't change it. So I'm stuck here. Like, this is who I am. The thing about shame is that it's never ours.
