Dallas Bragg explains how the physical body stores what it can't break down, just like the energetic body compartmentalizes unprocessed emotions behind walls. Addiction and numbing behaviors are ways we avoid pain. Healing means feeling those emotions fully instead of pushing them away.

Hey, Coffee Real Talk. It's time to stop avoiding the pain. We have several bodies: the physical, the energetic, the spiritual, and they're all integrated. So when the physical body encounters a substance that it can't break down, it goes into the liver. The liver wraps it in fat and stores it, which basically means it's compartmentalization. The energetic body does the exact same thing with incidences that causes emotions that we can't handle and we can't digest. So the energetic body insulates that. We know it as building a wall and compartmentalizing. And so for me, that showed up as a repressed memory. The fat around it was protecting me from feeling the pain. That's where addiction came in because it was a great way to numb myself so that I didn't have to feel the pain. So that numbing also became a connection to other people and their attention and their approval, and which is all temporary. Detoxifying the energetic body is connecting back to self, leaning into that pain and feeling it. Fully unwrapping that emotion.
