Dallas Bragg, a chemsex recovery coach, argues that framing recovery as all-or-nothing fails because it forces you to choose between fun and sobriety. Instead, he says, imagine a future where sober sex and social life are fulfilling enough that chemsex becomes unnecessary. His 12-week group program meets weekly with ten men and offers daily support.

This is why so many of you are unable to completely stop using. Hi, my name is Dallas. I'm a chemsex recovery coach for men who have sex with men. What I'm seeing often is that men are not zooming out and really looking at the true choice they're trying to make, because oftentimes we set a goal of either use or not use. And that isn't enough, because what happens in chemsex recovery is that oftentimes in your mind, the choice is to never enjoy sex again or use again, or the choice is never have fun again or use again. The choice is be a recluse and sit at home and be boring or use again. Those are the questions that you're really asking. And those are setting you up for failure. Why would your mind choose to never have sex or never enjoy sex or never have fun or never go out again? That is not what chemsex recovery is all about. So you want to make the choice, is this my future self or past self? And in my future self, these are the things I'm going to enjoy again. I'm going to love sober sex. I'm going to still be able to go out and have fun. I'm going to have a life that's so full and so fun and so wonderful that I won't need chemsex anymore. That's my future, and that's what I choose. Not to use or to not use, it's to choose your future self. If you're interested in working with me, I started group coaching every 6 weeks. It's a 12-week program with 10 men. We meet 2 hours a week plus every day on WhatsApp. If you're interested, comment the word group below and we'll get you the information.
