Dallas Bragg tells gay men in recovery that drug use is now hidden in plain sight. Before going anywhere private with someone, ask directly about H&H, PNP, or chem use. Some users look the part; many don't, and that's the danger.

If you're in recovery from meth, the state of the gay population in 2026 demands that before you go home with that guy, before you go to his house, before you're anywhere in a closed space, you need to be asking, do you use drugs? Do you H&H? Do you PNP? Do you chem? Whatever it is, you need to ask, because right now you can't tell who's using and who isn't. I mean, there are some profiles and some people who are obviously using, you know, like the red lights and the cheap motel room and the leather harness and the blurry pictures and all of that stuff. But there are many, many, many— the ratio is getting higher and higher— men who you would never guess are using, and they're going to whip that pipe out when you least expect it. It's your responsibility, just like when we're asking about status. HIV status, sexual health, it's your recovery health to ask, do you use drugs? You really need to ask because you don't want to get caught with your pants down, figuratively or literally.
